The IDF have dropped over 85,000 tons of explosives on Gaza - the equivalent of 6 Hiroshimas - but a few humanitarians on sail boats with baby formula is the real danger.

Stop with the ridiculous propaganda - the weapons making their way into Gaza are the ones being yielded by the terrorists in the IDF. Israel has NO right to attack boats in international waters, to abduct people - they have NO right to any Palestinian land or water.

Nobody, not even the IDF has said a few numbskulls with baby formula are a danger. But if they let them through every pro-Pally and her granny will turn up and it will be chaos. There is a war going on you know?

You know full well Hamas have always smuggled in weaponry and drugs in and will continue to do so if given half a chance.

And in the same time period, Hamas has dropped around 65,000 tonnes of rockets on Israel.

Wow mirrors 65k tonnes of explosives that would really cause some damage to Israel comparable to Gaza in terms of civilian deaths, damage to infrastructure and residential buildings, no? Yet we have seen any evidence of that. Please cite your source for this unheard of news

Someone's wild fantasy, presumably - possibly social media! Insane claim, and it's easily debunked using simple maths:

Qassams (the rockets used by Hamas) range between 35kg and 50kg in terms of mass (Source: Wikipedia).

Let's assume 50kg to be generous. 65k tonnes divided by 50kg would be 1.3 million rockets. Divided by 700 days, that'd be more than 1800 rockets a day ... which is just not happening.

No idea why people insist on making up the most easily debunked claims.

Why?

Well it wouldn't surprise me, Israel have a long history of locking people up without charging them for any crimes for an indefinite period of time and if they drag them out of International waters like they did last time they will be locking up them without them having commited any crime. I wouldn't be 'hoping' for that though given that Israel also have a long history of torturing and sexually assaulting the people they lock up under this 'scheme'. Surely even the most ardent of Greta haters wouldn't wish that on her.

What I hope for Greta is a big old dose of reality. Whether that means letting them in and finding out what happens when the tiny amount of aid is distributed- who are they giving it to? Or not? There would be anarchy. Or let her sit under rocket fire in Israel as she repeatedly flouts the law and then ‘mock’ bleats when she is rescued.

Either way works for me. She is ridiculous and performative as are the people with them. They are an expensive and unwelcome distraction.

Do you know how much they were carrying last time? Those boats are tiny and fairly full of people. After they are all fed and watered it will be negligible. And Hamas will Just let them leave again? It’s the epitome of white saviour complex.

You think they have more to fear from Hamas - the IDF have rolled over pro Palestine supporters with tanks, they have shot them - the IDF have also recently murdered 20k+ children, don’t know if you’ve heard! If I was on those boats I would fear the IDF and how after murdering me they would use propaganda to justify the murder. Yes the breaking of the blockade is symbolic but it is also necessary to highlight the horrendous situation! People are being murdered right this second, kids are dying of enforced starvation right this second - it is so important we highlight it and shout it from the rooftops so our governments stop all trade and all relations with these mass murderers! I am so proud of the brave people on those boats - if I didn’t have kids I would totally go with them!

And I just wanted to point out…. When you’re in that situation when ‘home made’ rockets are falling. From more than one surrounding terror outfit your Brain does not think ‘home made rocket’. You are still terrified, your mental health is wrecked, your children are inconsolable, you live on your nerves. Your sympathy is only ever one sided. It ALL needs to stop.

Can anyone explain to me why it is such a threat to Israel for this flotilla to land in Gaza? Why don't they just let it happen? What's the worse that could happen to Israel.

I'm sure there is or can be a mechanism for checking boats heading to Gaza to ensure no weapons or other security risks are on board and permitting entry.

You missed out the fact that the buildings that were blown up by the IDF were on buildings that were already rammed to the high heavens with explosives set by Hamas with the trip wires set in the under ground tunnels.

The IDF’s approach to the Arial bombing was a far more expedient and safer approach to remove buildings that would of already have blown up, indeed, they may well have been accidentally blown up by children setting them off if entering into the tunnels

Another point to note is that setting boobie traps is a breach of International law.

No we dont know that the IDF have 'directly killed' 60k people. We dont know how many of those were actually killed by Hamas and of course many are completely legitimate targets if they are Hamas. We know the figure of Gazans killed, as issued by the Hamas health ministry.
