Hamas and Islamic Jihad said earlier today they will hand over the body of an Israeli hostage at 8 p.m. local time (1800 GMT).

Returned very briefly.
So pleased that Goldin's remains were finally returned - it was emotional torture to make his family suffer for so many years.
Bring every hostage home. I don't check or post on MN with any regularity any more, but I'm still thinking of the hostages and waiting and hoping to hear of their return.

The Times of Israel says that there is a report from Al Jazeera that the body of a hostage has been recovered from Gaza.

As yet there is no confirmation nor information when and if the hostage will be safe in the arms of the IDF and back in Israel.

Three families will now be anxiously waiting by their phones.

I hope the wait is not too long.

It's been 11 days since the last hostage came home. The wait for each hostage seems to be longer and longer.

Reported in The Independent that Hamas says it will return the body of another Israeli hostage.

The body will be handed to the International Committee of the Red Cross on Tuesday afternoon, Hamas said on Telegram.

The hostage should be coming home now, as it is 4.20pm in Israel.
So if it is all true, one family will be answering their phone later.

I suppose it is too much to hope that the last 2 hostages are returned together at the same time...

The body returned yesterday has been confirmed as that of Israeli hostage Dror Or.

Two years ago to the day yesterday, Alma and Noam Or, two of Dror Or's children, were released from captivity as hostages.

They came home only to learn that their mother, Yonat, had been murdered on October 7 and that their father, Dror, was still being held in captivity.

Now finally Dror can be laid to rest by his three children.
