To continue the discussion on this new aid system which has led to countless Palestinian deaths and injuries and labelled 'inhumane' by the UK government.

@SomeWomanSomewhere That was me. I stand corrected.

Will genuinely never ever hold it against anyone who admits an honest mistake. Not that anyone needs my personal forgiveness. But: appreciated.

I genuinely try to hold myself to the same standard.

Martymcfly24 · 18/06/2025 23:58

@SomeWomanSomewhere apologies lesson learned. I did that too. Thank you for the information.

I was at a hospital appointment with my DD today and it just struck me how difficult it must be for all the doctors, nurses and other medical staff in Gaza who deal with the aftermath of these attacks as well as the ongoing casualties from other attacks. As well as being targeted themselves.

It must be just devastating and they must feel tired to the bone at this point. The hardest job in the world right now.

Kindatired · 19/06/2025 19:25

Sky has an extended feature showing what they experience. Heart breaking.Even when I worked with Rwandans I after the genocide in 1994 I never saw anything like the number of child amputees. It’s barbaric.

A clear indication he has complete unawareness of the suffering of others.

Spot on 👏👏👏

It's relentless and cruel and still nothing being done about it.

While Netanyahu endures his "hardship" this is the life he has subjected a couple of million people to.

The strip urgently needs to be flooded with aid. When people are desperate and there's not enough to go round lawlessness sets in which is unsafe for everybody especially children and the vulnerable. I have yet to hear one valid reason why this can't be done

All it will take is for Hamas to lay down its arms and surrender.
Or do they think still think are going to somehow ‘win’?
Hamas could end the suffering today, if it wanted to.

Withholding humanitarian aid is a war crime regardless of what Hamas do and don't do. What you are suggesting is collective punishment is ok because Hamas won't surrender

HellsBalls · 21/06/2025 13:06

It’s all ‘Israel, Israel, Israel’ when talking about the aid, no one mentions that Hamas are the architect of this.
Why don’t any of the pro-Palestinian supporters on here say Hamas should surrender to end the suffering?
Never mention that Hamas uses the aid to fund its operations? That Hamas sells the free aid to profit itself?

Fucking hell.

Starvation and drought by collective punishment of an entire population because of a terrorist group (that's also terrorising the country)

And this is acceptable.
I didn't think I could be any more shocked on here.

Ok Hamas should surrender to end the suffering.

Wont end it though.

And it is all Israel because they have inflicted this on the entire population.

Evil government.
And anyone who supports this should take a long hard look at their ethics.

Seems like the EU agreed with you about the collective punishment.

Taoiseach calls for 'concrete action' after human rights obligations in EU-Israel deal breached

A review of an EU-Israel agreement found Israel has used collective punishment in Gaza and the West Bank.

Finally. It took a long time but they got there.

21 people reportedly killed today. Whilst the focus has been on Iran and Israel the killing of Palestinians daily whilst trying to collect aid has continued.

I read yesterday that 15 human rights groups have written to the GHF to tell them they are complicit in harming Palestinians. Il see if I can find the article.

They mustn't be forgotten, these poor souls who are getting murdered in this way. It's horrendous, and it is getting glossed over while the shenanigans are taken up with the Iran issue.
