Thought this might be worth its own thread. The freedom flotilla The Madleen was getting close to Gaza but seems to have made a diversion, as it was the closest boat to answer a distress call. They seem to also have four Sudanese asylum seekers on board who were trying to escape the Libyan coast patrol.

The UK and France are asking Israel for its safe passage.

I'm all for Israeli and Palestinian peace but it makes no sense to have the flags here together. The freedom flotilla is on it's way to help the Palestinians. The Israelis are trying to stop it.

People should stop derailing this thread.

You simply can’t have one without the other. Because that would mean you support a genocide/ethnic cleansing.

I don’t feel the need to declare my origin or current status to anyone.

Many Jewish people are in support of getting aid to Gaza and in any method that raises awareness along with many people of many different religions and cultures. We are not all defined by the ‘badge’ we were born with or chose to wear.
In terms of your stance on the understanding of what antisemitism is Whether a person is Jewish or not is irrelevant. People are perfectly capable of understanding it if they want to.

People should stop minimising Israelis’ traumas and dehumanising them. By people I mean you. Although by “people” I think we all know who you mean.

I didn't say anything of the sort however, the Israeli government do not want the flotilla going through which is what this thread is about. That's not opinion, it is a fact.

They ( Israeli government)even sent a group of young children waving Israeli flags out on a boat to warn Greta "we are coming to get you"

I have been looking at videos of the crew members like Yasemin Acar on Tik Tok. She last posted 3 hours ago.

I don't believe they are detained as of yet. I saw that they were estimated to reach Gaza Monday night but they will try and delay it till Tuesday morning.

They were on YouTube two hours ago.

They were 160 nautical miles out about 3 hours ago. Now that's pretty useless information because I have no idea how fast a boat goes.

The BBC updated about 56 minutes ago reporting that the Israeli media say its navy is expected to block the boat before it reaches Gaza.

"We will calmly take control of the ship, bring them to Israel, and deport them abroad that same night" an official told the Jerusalem Post.

Hopefully the next thing we see of these terrorist supporting, virtue signalling, useful idiots will be sad face pics in the departure lounge for their deportation flight.

Later there will front page headlines and interviews screaming about ‘my ordeal at the hands of the evil IDF’.

At least they’ll make some cash out of it and had a good sailing holiday judging from the onboard pics.

You cannot honestly believe these people have the resources to deliver meaningful aid to Gaza can you? Seriously?
So other than that what are you hoping they will achieve? They are virtue signalling pure and simple. Which is extremely tiresome and time wasting.
