Conflict in the Middle East

Anti Israel Rhetoric is rife. Why?

1000 replies

cindyhove · 05/04/2025 14:19

As of April 5, 2025, numerous armed conflicts are ongoing worldwide, varying in scale and intensity. According to the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, over 110 armed conflicts are currently being monitored, encompassing both international and non-international engagements.
why is israel the only one to be demonised out of the current 110 conflicts?
The answer is blindingly obvious

It isn’t though is it? Israel are just creating Islamic martyrs.

Exactly this. For each person you kill in Gaza, you likely create 2 additional Hamas supporters full of hatred and lust for revenge. Madness to think you can create lasting peace by bombing the hell out of a country.

TheWombatleague · 06/04/2025 19:52

PollyPaintsFlowers · 06/04/2025 19:14

Incorrect. Not just by Israel, by other countries and agencies as well, though do your own research and see the disproportionate number of U.N. sanctions against Israel as opposed to other countries who really have committed massacres and ethnic cleansing etc

No, can't find any criticism that isn't either by Iarael or from an organisation or publication with links to Israel.

Now, I admit it does look like Israel gets the brunt of resolutions cast against it. There are two possible explanations I suppose. One, is that Israel, a state supported by the most powerful country on the planet, the UK and the EU (so three of the five permanent members of the 15 strong security council) is called to account over its conflict with Palestine by the General Council (a Muslim majority) more often than they highlight abuses elsewhere and they're all biased against Israel really.

Or/and

  1. Israel consistently breaks International law.

I'm not a fan of the UN personally, but they don't just make stuff up.

Oh and for those who think it’s all one sided, sirens just went off in the south of israel with 10 rockets being fired from Gaza

Who thinks it’s just one sided on this thread? Can you be a bit clearer please. I think it’s you ,you see, with the occasional “it’s obviously a bit sad that Israel has killed tens and thousands of Palestinians, but you know war…” - thrown in for good measure.

TheWombatleague · 06/04/2025 20:00

Odd that the only people calling for a solution that doesn't involve genocide are the ones being accused of supporting terrorism on this thread.

Well currently I'm wondering how one couldn't be outraged by the murder of medics, still with their gloves on, being murdered while attending, and buried in a shallow grave? How the FUCK does anything justify that?

Hamas masqueraded as medics but we're members of Hamas.

I think the pp meant people who have seen the video that clearly shows that was a lie. Not people who can't distinguish between state propaganda & evidence.

Has anyone on here said it is one sided? Has anyone on here said they believe Hamas are good and Israel are bad?

@cindyhove What are you really so upset about? All Gazan’s are suffering, children are starving, people are dying, Gaza has been destroyed. Israel is “winning”. It has the full support of the US and its alliances with other states are safe. You, as someone who is pro every israeli action in this war should be rejoicing that the revenge was so very “successful”.

Don’t let NGO’s, the UN and some peace movements drag you down. Such institutions are toothless now anyway in this new world order. You have discredited all of these voices? I don’t understand why they even bother you.

For the first time since the start of the war, an IDF spokesman is directing the evacuation of Deir al-Balah in the center of the Gaza Strip, following the rocket fire this evening towards Ashdod.

Residents of Deir al-Balah, including the areas of al-Zuwayda, al-Awda, a-Salah, a-Sahaba and a-Semah, are told to move south to Khan Yunis.

this is a typical way the IDF works. Telling them to get out of the way first to mitigate civilian deaths.

IDF have murdered over fifty thousand Palestinians. You can try and paint them however you want but for me they will always be perpetrators of genocide.

There are no churches in gaza nor were there before the war and no Israel are not being antisemitic

Is this a joke? There are several churches in Gaza and at some point in time Israel has bombed all of them.
In this conflict idf murdered two ladies sheltering in one.

Kakeandkake · 06/04/2025 22:06

How do they sleep at night? How do they go home to their families after all the killing they do every single day?

An Israeli official was interviewed at the time of the bombing who also claimed there were no churches in Gaza. How embarrassing.

But only Israel thinks this. What the international community is or had been united in saying was that they are not. Unfortunately this hasn’t translated to much meaningful action by its allies. Which is great right? Israel can do what it wants in plain sight and it will only get some wagging fingers. I don’t think you could wish for much more than that.

That's where the dehumanising and propaganda comes into it. It's the same reason people can read reports about raped women and girls and feel nothing at all. You always see it on these threads too, it was posted earlier on on this thread, little insinuations that all Palestinians are terrorists so why should anyone care if Israel murder them anyway and pretending that Israel are doing us all a favour by slaughtering 1000s of them. People have rationalised away the awful treatment of Palestinians for decades, Israelism gives a great run down of how it happens.

Mylegishangingoff · 06/04/2025 22:17

Someone on a thread before took that to a whole new level and claimed there were no Jewish people in the West Bank! Again it's the propaganda, pretending Palestinians are just so awful that they will kill anyone who isn't Palestinian on sight. People don't bother to research it, even Israelis they've just heard it so many times that they believe it to be true.

I wonder where they thought all the settlers lived! These are the same people who go around accusing others of x y and z.

This Khan Younis that they bombed residential homes in last night killing 5 men, 5 women and 5 children.

Did they tell them to evacuate there and then drop bombs? (Wouldn't be anything new from the most moral army)

Israeli strikes on Gaza kill 32, mostly women and children

Palestinian health officials say Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip have killed at least 32 people including over a dozen women and children.

I think they were just so over excited at the thought that they could share what they had learnt and defend Israel that they fluffed it. As soon as they were corrected they realised they got the lines wrong.

Well there aren’t any Israelis in Areas A&B of the West Bank. It is illegal for Israelis to enter Area A and not recommended for them to enter Area B.

Any ideas why that is?

Nothing to do with the horrific Ramallah lynching in 2000?

Where two Israelis took a wrong turn and ended up getting literally ripped to pieces by Palestinian civilians. One of the perpetrators held his blood covered hand up to a window to cheers from the crowds outside.

You know, the event that many believe inspired that red hand symbol badge that some celebrities sported at award ceremonies.

Sick bastards.

And to think I used to love Mark Ruffalo as an actor, and especially as Hulk, and would always watch any film if he was in it!

That was a disgusting unjustifiable act but it shows how violence begets violence and why all parties need to stop the hostilities and return to the negotiating table.

Those poor soldiers were victims in an area when tensions were so high after Israel had murdered 100 people including 24 children in the previous two weeks.

It is a viscous circle of reprisals and revenge that needs to stop.
