Hamas don’t want peace

A two day ceasefire was offered to them in return for four hostages but they declined. Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, said Hamas “once again refused to release even a limited number of hostages to secure a ceasefire and relief for the people of Gaza”.
Isreal has now offered a million dollars for each hostage and safe passage out of Gaza for their captors. Hamas have yet to respond.

Im hoping to discuss to get a better understanding of a situation. So again, what do you want out of it, hand wringing and blaming the Jews?

I never blamed the Jews.

They didn't say it was blanket illegal, they said it needs a court order (which your own link confirms)..

I read it as such too. To be honest, the use of genetic testing to determine how Jewish you are makes me feel uneasy, to be honest.

Genetic citizenship: DNA testing and the Israeli Law of Return - PMC

The Israeli State recently announced that it may begin to use genetic tests to determine whether potential immigrants are Jewish or not. This development would demand a rethinking of Israeli law on the issue of the definition of Jewishness. In this ...

@Feelingathomenow
What we see now can only waguely be called a war if we think of it as the long 1948 - now war. I think you stated earlier that you think it's a war and I disagree.
Any state actor who honestly considered the 2SS has recognised either both states or neither.
We have one military superpower supplying bombs and diplomatic protection to one side. What happens now is whatever they want.

Not only i despare when people are murdered, I hate it when my government supports the murder and lies to us.
As for me here, I'm trying not to go mad. A small thing but it kind of matters for me.

And how is it helping? Why is a war
(I pressure) so far away from you at risk of making you go mad? Do all the children suffering, being abused on the streets of India make you made, what about the ones in South America? Are you constantly on threads about children on the UK suffering abuse and neglect? What is it about the war in Gaza that is affecting your mental health above all the other instances of children suffering? You’ve probably got 10 items in your house where children might have died as a result of obtaining at least part of them. You probably use services and goods every day which props up an economy where ethnic murders are rife. What is it that’s focused your mind on the people of Gaza?

They (and the antisemitic conspiracy theorist who originally spread the rumour) said it was to prevent people from finding out that Jewish people have no genetic ties to Israel. Which is not true.

oh come on- pull the other one - you said the reason for this was “as it is likely to show that the settlers have no roots to the land.” This is absolutely not the case as the article confirms

I should get your post removed as it looks antisemitic to me

I was commenting on the comment that it is false that 23 &me DNA tests etc all required a court order (despite the fact you're purchasing as a customer with a private company!) which is true. I can't tell you why Israeli government have made that rule.

But you clearly stated on your post that the law was there “as it is likely to show that the settlers have no roots to the land.” So you seem to think you know why they made that rule.

@Feelingathomenow I think you're feeling a bit out of sorts. You're repeatedly quoting the wrong posters.

And I made no comment on the reasoning in my comment, I merely clarified that it is indeed true you need a court order.

Tbh it’s quite difficult to distinguish between a group of posters regurgitating the same propaganda- they all seem to blend into one.

Anyway I’m feeling in fine fettle thanks you asking.

But, if you want to know why the Israeli government made a rule it was to safeguard standards of testing effectively. The original poster was stirring up hatred towards the people of Israel by spreading false infomation

(1) This is not a war. Most experts on the subjects agree this is genocide.

(2) My government is complicit in genocide.

From (2) follows that I cannot trust the governement on other matters either (the same goes for the previous lot after they put their party above the interests of the country, but that's another matter). They have not previously openly supported genocides, so this is a paradigm shift.

Mmmm. You really really need to read wider. But you’re only interested in children killed in a war? No abused children, or those exploited, often facilitated by UK trade?

Or have you got caught up in the social media hysteria over this one issue?

Here's the link to the official Israel government website which says you need an apply for a court order to do the DNA testing.

We have established this, the reason given as to why it was needed that was listed has long been verified as false and designed to stir up anti Islamic sentiments which I can only assume was also the intention of that post.

Nice whatsboutism.

No, i’m not only concerned about children killed in wars and especially genocides, but that does not seem to concern you.

Yep, they've appointed a tobacco lobbiest to consult on public health and a fossil fuel lobbiest to consult on public order.

I have to say I was hoping for better.

After watching the Democrats under Biden especially the last year+, I was expecting no less from Labour and our can't call it a genocide PM.

Red or Blue doesn't matter, They're all the same under the bonnet!

In the past 60 years whatever was the color of the US administration, they all were so threatened by Cuba that refused to remove the economic blocade.

It’s not whataboutism - you seem to be focused on the treatment of children, im merely trying to ascertain what you actively do for children who are suffering in other contexts. Do you expend the same amount of energy on other areas?

Why do you say I’m not concerned about children? I think that is rather baseless thrashing out isn’t it?

Im guessing from your recent posts you’re in America. What are you doing about the many child welfare related issues in your country?
