Sad 4th thread and hostages still held by Hamas and others.

"Youssef was abducted by Hamas terrorists during the October 7, 2023 onslaught, along with three of his children, Hamza, Bilal Ziyadne, 18, and Aisha Ziyadne, 17, while working in Kibbutz Holit.

Bilal and Aisha were released on November 30, 2023, after more than 50 days in Hamas captivity.

Until now, Youssef and Hamza were presumed alive.

Youssef, 53, married with two wives and 19 children, was working in the kibbutz cowshed. Hamza, 22, married and father of two, and Bilal, 18, were working with their father, while their sister Aisha had joined them for the morning.

The family lives in Rahat, in the Ziyadne neighborhood, named for their extensive family clan."

Heartbreaking news

It is heartbreaking especially as there had been hope they were alive. How particularly dreadful for Bilal and Aisha. What a dreadful blow for this whole large family.

Lots of talk about a possible deal by midnight tonight. Not holding my breath but am hopeful. Will post if I see anything from legit sources.

Now a long and anxious wait to see who is released. I've seen reports (not on MSM) about who, and in what order, but no confirmation whether some of those on the list (e.g. the Bibas children) are alive.

Very heavy heart today seeing

  • ceasefire hasn’t even been discussed by the cabinet yet.
  • US media is reporting it as a “pause in fighting” which is quite different from a ceasefire so I have to wonder if it really is a ceasefire
  • dozens more have been killed today, potentially hostages among them
