It’s just beyond awful. The idf have dropped leaflets telling Palestinians to move. There is no where for them to go. This is beyond awful. More children will be blown apart, more families destroyed and all for what? Sick beyond what I ever imagined.

Nobody has numbers at this point but as the number of children killed has halved since the original much quoted figures came out...I think the number of actual innocent children will be much lower again ( and yes it's terrible they were indoctrinated and didn't have a childhood) but that is not Israel's fault...their mindset is different to ours.

There would be no need to open or close any gates if israel had kept their word but they didn't, now we have a situation where people are trapped, nowhere to go, starving, afraid for their lives, horrendous isn't it?

Children are children same the world over. Generally in democratic countries we protect children not punish them for the mindset of adults.

That's not accurate and has been explained many times on these threads. It is harder to identify children especially when their bodies are in pieces and their parents have also been killed so there hasn't been many formal identifications so number revised until there can be. So no the number of children killed has not been halved just proper identification of them.

You might be interested in this list of names and ages of some of the children killed. There are no 18yos, they aren't counted as children, unlike the 20yo 'kids' that serve in the Israeli army. There are very many babies, toddlers and primary school age children though.

Honestly, I have just read through this and there are some truly disgusting viewpoints being aired. They have already been challenged (thank you @ConnieCounter@Scirocco@Efacsen@Auvergne63@Liv999@Dulra@mactire@PearlKoala and exposed for the utter rubbish that they are.

Regarding the complaints about upsetting pictures and videos, I agree that they are incredibly disturbing. For those who think they shouldn’t be posted - you can choose whether to view them, they are within the ‘conflict in the ME’ section, and then within a thread called ‘all eyes on Rafah’, where (as I am sure you are aware), Israel is currently dropping massive bombs on innocent and defenceless people, who have nowhere to go and are also being starved. So I don’t think people will be opening them by accident.

If you don’t like these images being on mumsnet, please use all your energy to loudly voice your objection to Israel for doing the aforementioned, as well as decimating hospitals, schools, universities, etc, and generally committing a genocide. It would be infinitely better if these atrocities weren’t being committed in the first place.

If this could stop then none of us would have to see these awful, terrible and heartbreaking images.

That’s it really. In your mind they are less than human and that justifies the death and destruction. We are all human.

It’s really not a good idea to start thinking that groups of people deserve to suffer because of their nationality/religion/race.

As lots of people have already said - this is a horrific thing to say. The people paying for Hamas’ crimes are innocent civilians and children, aid workers, doctors. I abhor Hamas and I wish they were the ones paying for their crimes. Unfortunately- as always - it’s the innocent.
