Where the hell are all the Palestinians meant to go now?
They were TOLD to go to Rafah, that Rafah was a safe place.
It’s just open extermination at this point.

Hamas could surrender, or hand back the hostages

Should Israel hand back the thousands of innocent Palestinian hostages too? Or does it only work one way?

Times of Israel

Haim Rubenstein-

Netanyahu prevented hostage deal-
Haim Rubinstein claims Israel rejected early Hamas offer to free all civilians if IDF didn't enter Gaza

''We later found out that Hamas had offered on October 9 or 10 to release all the civilian hostages in exchange for the IDF not entering the Strip, but the government rejected the offer.”

They will say all sorts of things now, to put blame on the other.
Everything should be investigated thoroughy, but I think it is better to focus of making this ceasefire the final one, instead of getting trap on the blame game.

If Israel wanted to win over hearts and minds, perhaps they could have not: occupied the Occupied Territories, committed war crimes, starved a population, and ended up being investigated for genocide. It might be a bit hard to come back from that in the eyes of some people.

RafaistheKingofClay · 06/05/2024 19:51

I think the chance of Israeli peacekeeping forces winning over hearts and minds of people in Gaza is probably minimal at best.

MushMonster · 06/05/2024 19:52

The Guardian has online that Israel is evaluating the ceasefire proposal accepted by Hamas.
Yet, preparations for Rafah operation continue..

Some sources are saying Israel has rejected it

MushMonster · 06/05/2024 19:53

Is t? Already?

MushMonster · 06/05/2024 19:59

Just watched it, BBC news 41 min ago, Iarael rejected it according to them

MushMonster · 06/05/2024 20:00

Lots of phone calls from the big guys to follow!
I do seriously hope Netanyahu can find his ears and engage his brain when Biden calls him.

From other threads Hamas has accepted a deal but Israel is saying this wasn’t the deal hence why their rejection.

I wonder where all the people who left Rafah today have gone. I hope they find somewhere relatively safe to sleep the night, and that they were able to take whatever supplies they have left. Life can be so unfair.

Why has Egypt no open her boarders for temp housing them in total safety???

MushMonster · 06/05/2024 20:28

I do hope that all of them have packed it and go.
I suppose they have moved to the north. Do they have shelter, water, food, blankets, doctors? I hope so.

Would Israel allow the Palestinians back once they’ve finished destroying Gaza?

DistinguishedSocialCommentator · 06/05/2024 20:32

@ConnieCounter

Two questions that may put you into a self-ban on this thread

Why are the Hamas leaders not telling their operatives to realsed the men and women held as hostages??

Why has Egypt not allowed people into Egypt for safety until Hams are whipped out??

Simple questions and simple answers but I but you will never address them directly as its not suiting your stance

FYI, I want the the isrealie leader to go as well as Hamas.

From the Guardian

Israel still plans to proceed with a 90-day plan to invade Rafah, which Washington is committed to stopping, a US official familiar with truce negotiations between Hamas and Israel told Reuters on Monday.

“Netanyahu and the war cabinet have not appeared to approach the latest phase of negotiations (with Hamas) in good faith,” the official told Reuters, asking not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter

of course they would once the hostages were released and Hamsa and its leaders were taken out. There is no point in Israel just moving the problem a few yards up the road and that is a fact

Fact, Israel left Gaza years ago and look what Hams did to it

  1. Hamas kidnapped people because they wanted to use them for an exchange with prisoners. They’ll not release them without achieving anything. This is how terrorist groups work. They kill / kidnap innocent people in order to achieve something
  2. Will Palestinians be allowed to return?

But you just did and that is a fact.

Therefore, run away as you know what the answer is to this and I reiterate

Fact. Israel doesn’t allow Palestinians returning.
fact as well. Israel has approved more settlers land than ever before

ConnieCounter · 06/05/2024 20:48

So will Hamas stay behind and get bombed and let the civilians out or how does that work?

Parkingt111 · 06/05/2024 20:48

This is the latest from the US less than two hours ago

The US will not support the Rafah offensive “currently envisioned by Israel” because it has yet to see a credible and implementable plan to protect the over one million Palestinians sheltering there, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller says.
