I just managed to read the previous post before it got deleted for being inflammatory. Not to me it wasn't but then I don't support terrorists.
Many, many people do stand for Israel and not for Hamas (and by definition their supporters; you know who you are).

@Efacsen the only place 'ash-something' that I have seen footage from features the hostage families crying, shouting and singing to their loved ones.

@Dulra I don't think that's in doubt. It's the relevance surely? I showed posts based on recent events.

I don't see why it should matter what the date of the video is, since the point is the same - extremists exist on both sides. However, since someone has asked, here is a more recent video of Israeli children singing in celebration of the destruction of Gaza.

I know a lot of press stay in hotels in Ashkelon but it's 20 miles from Gaza - unless the whole general area between the 2 goes by that name ??

This is what is said by leaders of a country, in public and on the record. This is what I and others like me get told regularly, here in the UK, from people who have listened to and absorbed these views. This is how Palestinians and in many cases the wider Muslim community are viewed.

Don't think I've seen a single thread that's not had some kind of 'hostile intrusion' no matter how sensitive the subject

@Efacsen it's repeated hostile intrusion though when there are numerous other threads that could be used.

It also feels a bit like schooling. As if things would have escaped our attention ...... with a big dose of finger pointing and name calling.

We should be safe on this thread to talk about things without the usual suspects barging in. Respectful discussion of course but it's not. I have had numerous dm's from people frightened to engage.

I mean the title of the thread gives it away surely? It seems people are either wanting to derail or get it shut down. Either way not great.

As adults we should be able to think.... that's not for me and my opinion is not warranted.
