I hope they come home soon and there's no need for a part 4.

@stomachamaleon there's also this

https://www.axios.com/2024/01/12/hamas-hostages-israel-gaza-medicine

Efacsen · 13/01/2024 21:01

@Parkingt111 the statement by Hamdan looks a bit garbled/badly translated to me

Your Axios link makes it clear that there's medicine for hostages AND medicine for hospitals in Gaza

.

Parkingt111 · 13/01/2024 21:08

@Efacsen yes the axios link explains the deal with more clarity
So it seems that the medicine for the hostages that will be sent by Israel has not happened yet, but is part of the deal in exchange for medical aid allowed in to Gaza for the hospitals, so hopefully it should be going through sooner, rather than later.

EllaDisenchanted · 14/01/2024 06:56

@Parkingt111 thanks for the info- read the TOI and axioms article now.
hearing nothing about future negotiations atm.

today is 100 days.

Efacsen · 14/01/2024 08:48

@EllaDisenchanted I tend to take the view that if there are no 'we're walking away' announcements that negotiations are quietly continuing even if it's not in the news

Qatar issued a pretty stern rebuke last week about leaks damaging the negotiations so maybe another reason it's a bit quiet

Pleased to see the 24 hour demonstration planned in Tel Aviv today to mark the 100 days

Yes, I think you're probably right

"The organizers of the Tel Aviv rally for the hostages say 120,000 people have attended tonight’s demonstration."

DH is at the rally for the hostages at hostage square in Tel Aviv now, pretty much his whole company have gone.

EllaDisenchanted · 14/01/2024 17:46

DH pictures from one of the rallies today. Multiple places and businesses stopped for 100 minutes.

The Hebrew writing on the giant tag says “our heart is in captivity in Gaza”.
many people have been wearing these tags in solidarity with the hostage families.

etmoiandme · 14/01/2024 17:50

@EllaDisenchanted Sending my thoughts your way Ella, hope you're OK.

Bigminnie1 · 14/01/2024 18:01

25,000 today in Trafalgar Square.

stomachameleon · 14/01/2024 18:28

@Bigminnie1 that makes me really happy :) I have been looking for news about it. Pleased to see the pictures of the Iranian flags as well as Israeli. Big difference from the hate filled speeches yesterday.

EllaDisenchanted · 15/01/2024 11:24

Hamas released a new video of the hostages. 3 hostages are shown asking to come home; Noa Argamani, Yossi Sharabi, and Itai Svirsky. It is not clear when the videos were filmed.

stomachameleon · 15/01/2024 17:25

@EllaDisenchanted you can't help but dread what this evening will bring.

SomeCatFromJapan · 15/01/2024 18:12

The whole circumstance of this is absolutely sickening, utterly psychopathic behaviour.

PopNotPolitics · 15/01/2024 18:23

Apologies if already answered, but where is it believed the hostages are being kept? Are they definitely in Gaza? Are they all together or have they been separated?

When the other hostages were released, why didn't the Israeli army track where they had been brought from to find the others?

Thank you. God bless.

EllaDisenchanted · 15/01/2024 18:42

@PopNotPolitics freed hostages have reported being moved around, via the humanitarian corridors, disguised as women. Some were kept in tunnels, some in private homes. There is evidence they were kept under one of the hospitals as well.
reportedly one of the reasons why hamas don’t want the icrc visiting is because they don’t want the hostages tracked.

Parkingt111 · 15/01/2024 20:15

EllaDisenchanted · 15/01/2024 17:28

New Hamas video shows Noa Argamani reporting that Yossi Sharabi and Itai Svirsky are no longer alive.

ברוך דיין האמת, יהי זכרם ברוך 💔

Absolutely sickening, I can't imagine what the families must be going through

Parkingt111 · 16/01/2024 12:16

This is the latest being reported on getting medicine to the hostages. It seems to be the joint efforts of France and Qatar after being approached by the missing families and hostages forum

https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/france-working-with-qatar-to-get-medicines-to-hostages-in-gaza/

EllaDisenchanted · 16/01/2024 12:17

Thanks @Parkingt111

Parkingt111 · 16/01/2024 12:27

@EllaDisenchanted 💕
Hoping that negotiations for the release of the hostages have also progressed behind the scenes like how it has happened in regards to the medication.
So far it seems that France has purchased the medicine and shipped it to Qatar. The latest that has been updated is that Qatar recieved the medicine on Saturday

Parkingt111 · 16/01/2024 20:21

Further update from the times of Israel:

The medications will leave Doha tomorrow aboard two Qatari military aircrafts en route to the coastal city of el-Arish in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula. It will then be transferred into the Gaza Strip, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry says in a statement, adding that France played in a role in the mediation of the deal.
The Qatari statement adds that Doha’s mediation efforts between Israel and Hamas will continue “within the framework of Qatari efforts to bring about an end to the war in Gaza.”

stomachameleon · 16/01/2024 20:44

@Parkingt111 let's hope it gets to the hostages and doesn't go much the same way as most of the aid. To Hamas.
