Do lots of people support Hamas?

I just read this story and it is absolutely horrific

I saw ten Hamas terrorists beat and gang-rape an Israeli woman

https://mol.im/a/12820081

Is everyone on the pro-Palestine marches in London solely supporting the innocent civilians of Palestine (as I do too)? Or are there some people on these marches supporting the actions of Hamas as well?

I want to join the marches in support of innocent adults and kids in Gaza (and I would want to march for the same reasons on any pro Israel marches too), but I do not want to endorse Hamas in any shape or form. They are absolutely vile.

“Palestinians rounded up by Israeli forces in Gaza City have described being stripped, blindfolded, numbered and tortured while detained.

This group of detainees have now been released and are receiving medical treatment ⤵️”

This is a war crime.

Well it looks like this british doctor supports Hamas

“Hamas said they didn’t want to harm women and children.”

But they did and broadcasted it for the world to see.

“Well that’s what you saw.”

Or needs to get his eyes checked

Not Hamas supporter but PFLP, same difference in this 'context'

"An individual on Whitehall brazenly wears a headband brandishing the symbol of the PFLP, a terrorist organisation that murders Jews, during Saturday’s anti-Israel demo in London."

I've been reading about this - how dare they. I get angrier the more I read. How spineless and lacking in humanity are our government(s) that they let this happen under the repeated pretense of "We thought they were Hamas". Every civilian is apparently Hamas, as every school, hospital, home, etc. is a base or weapons facility.

Swishyfishy · 12/12/2023 18:46

I’ve never met one single pro Hamas person! Ive met lots of pro Palestine people however, outraged by the vile treatment of innocent children, women, men

Yes exactly this
There was outrage over Al shifa hospital and now its just become the norm to attack and raid hospitals full of civilians, injured and ill babies

Anyone still remember how the explosion at Al-Ahli was a major propaganda war?

This was just - metaphorically speaking - "the day before yesterday". And in the meantime, we have arrived at "yeah, so, bombing, shelling, and invading hospitals is just par for the course, we guess!".

People do not even get outraged about any of this anymore. We seem to have totally normalised the targetting of fucking hospitals at this point!

I have no words!

Assad says he supports Hamas but as stated here or by anyone that knows about the politics over the last X number of years it doesn't mean much. Though I suppose Assad did kill 7400 Palestinian women and children in a few weeks after he had already let them be tortured and raped by his own men. So he cares about Palestinians about as much as Hamas does. Therefore they have that in common.

Is Syria’s al-Assad supporting Hamas for political gain or optics?

As Syria slowly reentered the Arab fold, it mended relations with Hamas, but that doesn’t necessarily mean much.

He has been reported to the police by numerous twitter users apparently

Charming human being isn't he

Fynetanksfather · 26/12/2023 18:06

I was really shocked to see pro-Palestine rhetoric start up immediately in direct response to October 7th (even though I am ‘pro-Palestine’, it seemed horrible timing – I wouldn’t even say ‘insensitive timing’ as I suppose the lack of sensitivity was knowing). Likewise the support for Hamas shown on marches in places like Manchester. Seriously, wtf. Did any of these people actually see the footage of what they did? The young women being set upon and paraded round the streets like Colonel Gaddafi? It was sickening, horrific. Those innocent people did not deserve that.

That, along with open antisemitism all over the place right now, it’s not surprising many in the Jewish community do not feel safe.

I fully support a ceasefire and support Palestinian civilians but do not support Hamas.

I would not personally go on a march right now, although I do support the calls for a ceasefire, as I would not want to contribute to Jewish people feeling unsafe. I absolutely support people’s right to march though, and think the overwhelming majority of people marching are doing so out if humanitarian concern for people in Palestine, and like me would not wish for anyone to feel unsafe as a result.

Make of this one what you will

Not sure if a bad joke or they mean it

Definitely to close to call if you ask me, it could go either way

Do lots of people support Hamas?
stomachamaleon · 27/12/2023 23:04

@Trulywonderful do you think that's serious? It needs reporting either way. I imagine most people couldn't pick up sinwar In a line up or know what he is capable off.

He took a man out to the desert and presented him with his brother who was suspected of being an Israeli cooperator. He made him bury him alive.

This is not a nice man.

Trulywonderful · 27/12/2023 23:12

Think they deleted it and people have already reported it

I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that it is just a sick joke by 'youth' that should know better than to make that particular post.

Even before your horrific story he was on my never invite around for tea list
