I've read the sad news that the bodies of the Bibas family will be returned this evening.
Glad to hear that two young women have been released though.

Family of Ofer tzarfati, kidnapped from Nova, have been informed that he was killed.

Livia dickman, 24, murdered this morning was heavily pregnant.

Thanks for updating re Mia Shem, and Amit Sousanna - have just seen they have arrived in Israel. No updates about anyone else.

Stomacharmeleon · 30/11/2023 15:47

@SomeCatFromJapan is their dad hostage?

EsmaCannonball · 30/11/2023 15:48

If the bodies of the Bibas family are returned, independent pathologists should look into the cause of death. Anything that Israel says won't be believed. I wouldn't put it past Hamas or another Gazan jihadi group to have crushed them to death themselves.

Stomacharmeleon · 30/11/2023 15:50

Let's not speculate please.

I often get news from theofficialmeira on instagram. So far she has been reliable , and puts up corrections if she has incorrectly reported anything. She’s not a journalist officially, and I don’t know her, but this is one of my sources if anyone wants https://instagram.com/theofficialmeira?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==

@Stomacharmeleon the belief is that the father was held separately to the rest of the family.

Iwantcakeeveryday · 30/11/2023 16:28

Thats pretty terrible @Jupitersstorm

Stomacharmeleon · 30/11/2023 16:38

There is just no need for that.... at all.

Stomacharmeleon · 30/11/2023 16:43

I don't know how to repost Instagrams but there is a brilliant bit of footage of Rimon kirsht facing down her captors on 'your Jewish life'
The smallest nation is the biggest family.

SomeCatFromJapan · 30/11/2023 16:48

@Stomacharmeleon this bit of footage. Awesome woman.

A baying mob.

Apologists will probably say they're not a baying mob, they're cheering the hostages.

Another reminder that Hamas does not exist in isolation

Parkingt111 · 30/11/2023 17:05

@Plusplus because it will derail the thread and it is
So what how they were treated
They shouldn't have been taken in the first place

EllaDisenchanted · 30/11/2023 17:05

They have family members still in captivity, they are in shock and traumatised beyond belief, they don’t look calm, they look numb and dissociated.
look up the video of maya regev meeting her family in her hospital bed and listen to her sobbing, it was gut wrenching. I’m not posting it here.

Meant to add her release video she looks ca and is smiling (likely told to, her brother was in captivity still). The contrast between that and the video that’s been released where she sees her family is chilling. Her sobs were gut wrenching.
