@StarbucksSmarterSister I don't know how the Red Cross are allowing this.
I am now waiting for the usual suspects to say it's all a declaration of friendly intent and love and we have it all wrong.

EllaDisenchanted · 29/11/2023 18:57

@Kaffeebitte I'm not sure at the moment, sorry :/ The girl who was raped was Naama Levy, and is unlikely to be released, as she is in the IDF. She is 19, and had just completed training a few days earlier to be an observational soldier (I think they gather information). This is from the Times of Israel "Levy is strong, say her family members. She’s a seasoned triathlete, used to the rigors of training and pushing past obstacles, traits that they hope are helping her withstand the trials, cruelties, and possible atrocities of Hamas captivity.
She’s also the great-granddaughter of Holocaust survivors and was a participant in the Hands of Peace project in the US, working toward peace between Israel and the Palestinians."

The Russian Israelis are Yelena Troponov 50 and Irene Titi 75.

EllaDisenchanted · 29/11/2023 18:59

There is no list yet for the other hostages that I have seen.

I think of Naama every day. Poor girl.

I do not think they have any control in this situation. US and Israel are stating that part of the hostage negotiation was meant to be red cross access to the other hostages, but red cross won't confirm or deny.

https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/red-cross-yet-to-see-remaining-hostages-despite-us-and-israeli-claims-such-visits-were-part-of-truce/

Nothing against them, but I don't have much faith in them in this situation.

SomeCatFromJapan · 29/11/2023 19:06

And why were the Bibas family in a position to be killed in an air strike? Because Hamas kidnapped them. Their death is still ultimately the responsibility of Hamas

I absolutely agree with this. They shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Parkingt111 · 29/11/2023 19:07

The two Russian Israeli hostages have now arrived back in Israel

I think of her too

miniaturepixieonacid · 29/11/2023 19:46

It's of course very plausible that the young family have been killed by an airstrike. But also plausible that Hamas are lying. Didn't they say a few weeks ago that around 50 hostages had been killed in air strikes? That seems untrue according to recent numbers published of those released and still held. So still hope that this is also untrue. But it would prrhaps be surprising if no hostages at all were hit by the strikes. IDF obv knew that was a risk from the start.

Me also, its just hideous.

EllaDisenchanted · 29/11/2023 19:59

I’ve seen that Hamas are claiming logistic issues causing delays tonight, I haven’t seen that it is not going ahead, so a waiting game at the moment.

localnotail · 29/11/2023 20:02

I just read about Bibas family. My god, I hope its not true.

Also - wanted to say how much I was disgusted by Emily being descibed as "lost and now found". Fucking beggars belief....

SomeCatFromJapan · 29/11/2023 20:07

I've just read that a hostage says he was held by a UNRWA teacher, another by a doctor.

Is anyone really surprised? Especially about UNWRA.

Israelis held hostage (part 2)
eardefender · 29/11/2023 20:16

Gaza is looking more like a terrorist state at all levels, i think this is all going to start tumbling out more and more as the war goes on. I think we will be shocked about some of these agencies involvement in terror. UNWRA, UN, HRW, WHO, Red cross.

SomeCatFromJapan · 29/11/2023 20:19

It does rather explain why the hospital director and his staff at Al Shifa were so adamant it wasn't a Hamas operations centre.

Kaffeebitte · 29/11/2023 20:34

Have the hostages been handed over ? I think the Israeli Russian women have, but I haven’t seen anything to suggest the others have?

The Red Cross woman seems utterly fearless. If anyone sees any info about her anywhere I’d be so interested . She was right in the middle of the crowds in the clip I just saw and was entirely focused on the two women.

Indeed all those innocent people holding hostages, complicite in kidnap. Thats quite a bit of support for terrorists. Or maybe they are forced to do it by hamas. I don't know but I think hamas have more support that many believe or realise.

I agree. Some/many in the west appear quite naive and some think hamas are fluffy, misunderstood young men and women that just want to live in peace (obviously difficult knowing their expressed aim is to eradicate any Israeli people).

Hamas are really good at propaganda and pr though.

Reuters and CNN journalists reportedly involved on 7th October.

Kaffeebitte · 29/11/2023 21:23

List up, they’ve been handed over. Will let @EllaDisenchanted post as usual. Thank goodness.

Edited

Can you proof this? As it was proven to be a lie

StarbucksSmarterSister · 29/11/2023 21:24

I just had a quick look at Israel's channel 13 but unfortunately it doesn't have English subtitles so I couldn't understand it. However there were photographs on the screen of Kfir, Ariel, Aisha and her Brother Bilal so I have a nasty feeling all 4 of them are supposed to be dead.

Aisha is definitely not on the list for tonight.

I've just read that a hostage says he was held by a UNRWA teacher, another by a doctor.

The doctor was described as "Hamas doctor". I wrote on here quite a few times - Hamas rules EVERYTHING in Gaza, they are teachers, doctors, journalists, you name it. A lot of them are educated, and a lot are educated in the West/ on Western grants. However, this does not make them any less extremist. And all the "peaceful citizens" dancing on the streets and celebrating 7th October - they not only support Hamas, but also most of them have relatives who are members. This "peaceful citizens" tried to lynch hostages when they were being released, ffs. The naivety of people thinking Hamas is some sort of a partisan organisation not connected to civilians in Gaza is staggering. Sadly, Hamas IS Gaza.
