I think the Brodetzs are the neighbours that Avigail ran to.

Still no baby Kfir or his brother and mother. ☹ I I suspect Hamas will consider him to be one of the most important hostages and will keep him longer.

@StarbucksSmarterSister

thats my fear. Got is high value & that's not a good thing.

i hope the babus & children are all out very soon.

Iwantcakeeveryday · 26/11/2023 20:38

Oh no, who has them? I hope they're still alive.

Hamas is saying different Jihad groups in Gaza. Some have been working with Hamas to return the hostages. Others are not. However this is all a matter of if you believe totally what Hamas is saying. Plus Qatar are sounding very sceptical about the idea that Hamas doesn't know where all the children and women are being held. That they can't give names of all those captive or say how many are still alive etc

Stomacharmeleon · 26/11/2023 21:07

I can't see that there will be much movement until all the women and children are released and I admire the sheik for saying so.
It will show how much clout Hamas has got in the area.
I am also thinking of baby kfir and his brother. It doesn't bare thinking about what their reality is at the moment

Seriously, this thread is about innocent hostages. Go rant elsewhere. The children released and some with mothers or grandmother's are not the platform for your hatred.

You aren't doing yourself any favours.

I'm pretty sure the deal is a 4 day pause and 13 Israelis released each day, so 50-ish in total, then 10 more per day if a longer pause is agreed

If my maths hasn't deserted me that would involve an additional pause of about 20 days, but whether the whole thing will hold together that long is anyone's guess

Thank you.

Humdingerydoo · 27/11/2023 09:23

Looks like Hamas are back to playing their sick little games and that hostage release might not go ahead today as a result.

Parkingt111 · 27/11/2023 09:33

From sky news
Israel and Hamas have raised concerns over the lists of hostages and prisoners set to be released today, an official briefed on the matter has told Reuters.
Qatari mediators are working with both parties to resolve the issues and avoid delays, the official said.

@Humdingerydoo no more excuses for releasing the babies.

Parkingt111 · 27/11/2023 12:36

The Guardian is reporting this:

Israel has said it has shown willingness to extend the truce if Hamas will continue to release hostages. An Israeli official told Reuters the onus was on Hamas to produce a new list of 10 hostages it could free on Tuesday in exchange for that becoming an additional truce day. That process would continue for a maximum of five additional days to the current truce, the official added.

Does this mean even if Hamas continue to release 10 hostages a day, Israel will only allow the truce to continue for 5 more days? Which limits the hostages released to 50?

Kaffeebitte · 27/11/2023 13:03

Israeli military are putting the pressure on to end the truce.

Efacsen · 27/11/2023 13:05

@Parkingt111 was thinking about this earlier - before the 5 days was raised

That would mean 100 hostages released - and 140 left behind who may realistically be beyond the reach of this deal

the adult men -soldiers + civilians but POW to Hamas, not for release
hostages who are already deceased
hostages who are 'missing'/with other terrorist orgs

It depends on whether the Hostage Families and general public in Israel would accept that rationale and reluctantly make do with having retrieved most of the women, children and ?elderly men as the best that can be achieved

Efacsen · 27/11/2023 13:27

Lost some of the last para should say
..
......................best that can be achieved at the moment with this deal - but other options eg rescue by the military will continue with fresh vigour

XRAYTHIS · 27/11/2023 14:02

I don't think Hamas know where all of the hostages are and they don't appear to have any control over other terrorist organisations and some general Palestinian people seem to have some hostages too. I cannot imagine what has happened to them and sadly they may be dead. They don't tell us all the information that they fond out.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/11/2023 14:21

@Parkingt111 bearing in mind that Hamas may not know where all the hostages are, it may be Israel are putting a limit on the "pause" they can expect to see what transpires in those 5 days with a view to extending it if things go smoothly

Hamas can hardly release people they don't have, and things could get thorny if they "run out" of hostages with many still missing

Parkingt111 · 27/11/2023 15:01

Please note the below update is a possibility and not yet confirmed. But one that I am praying goes through

Egypt and Qatar are close to reaching a deal to extend Israel’s truce with Gaza by two days, Diaa Rashwan, head of Egypt’s State Information Service (SIS) said on Monday.
The two-day extension would include the release of 20 Israeli hostages and 60 Palestinian detainees, Reuters reports he said. Eleven Israeli hostages are expected to be released on Monday.

A video from Maayan, seeing her girls for the first time after 7 weeks. Their father, stepmother and stepbrother were all murdered.

Roni Kariboy's (the freed Russian - Israeli) apparently escaped when the building he was held in was bombed. For several days he hid until the Gazans caught him and returned him to Hamas.

From an interview with his aunt.

And Kfir, Ariel and their mother are not on today's list apparently.

EllaDisenchanted · 27/11/2023 16:39

It’s been very backwards and forward today. Delays finding one of the hostages apparently. Also seen the bibas family not on the list (kfir 10 months, Ariel 4 , and mum Shira)
early reports of an additional two days agreed, for 20 more hostages.

EllaDisenchanted · 27/11/2023 16:40

Sorry @StarbucksSmarterSister can see you wrote the same.
I think the delays are deliberate, it’s psychological warfare.

Stomacharmeleon · 27/11/2023 16:44

@StarbucksSmarterSister that's horrendous.
I think the possibility that normal Gazan's have hostages and are complicit in this (I appreciate not all) is a very real possibility.

It also entertains Hamas not having control of Gaza and rather than controlled by one terrorist mob it's several.

I am devastated Kfir, Ariel and Shira are unaccounted for.

apparently red cross have received tonight's hostages.
