Placards from antisemitic marches in London

I had written this as a response to the other thread which was closed as it was overrun by antisemitic d**ks. As I'm sure this one will be too. They can't allow us to share the truth of what is being said and done in our own home towns and cities.

Look at these images. No, they are not in the minority or unusual. Here are just a few of many, many overtly antisemitic placards from Saturday's protest in London. (And a bonus one from 2021, which the lovely John McDonnell also spoke at.)

This is MY HOME. I am Jewish. My family fled pogroms in Eastern Europe and Nazis in Germany. Those family members who didn't flee were murdered for being Jews. And here we fucking are again. In London. And people defending it.

This is NOTHING TO DO WITH ISRAEL. These are Jew-haters, the faces of hate, the faces of anger and mockery, openly calling for Jews, for me, my family, my children, my parents, to be murdered, in my home city.

And people are defending it. How the fuck do you think we feel?

The marches are not Palestinian solidarity marches. They are organised by supporters of Hamas to advance the aims of Hamas, ie the destruction of the jewish people. The useful idiots may believe they are marching in solidarity with Palestine but they aren't, they are marching in solidarity with Hamas.

Which is nothing to do with the definition of antisemitism as well you know.

It's disrespectful to march, @Carlalane ? So what word do you have for the murder of tens of thousands of innocents that is happening as we speak?

Yes, I totally agree there are also swathes of useful idiots, who just jump on the bandwagon of the day. Harmless but woefully naive.

No @MrTiddlesTheCat , a war happens between 2 states. The Palestinians do not have a state. They are a hostage population that has been under Israeli military occupation for decades. Israel has nuclear weapons and receives $14 BILLION in military aid from the US. This is not a war. Killing defenseless children in the thousands is not war. It's state terrorism and a crime against humanity.

You said that saying 'death to arabs' is antisemitic as arabs are semites too. Antisemitic refers only to hatred of jews, as well you know. But there's no point engaging with you as you're being disingenous ti justify antisemitism.

As you well know, the definition of anti-semitism is very specific and therefore your post is irrelevant.

So saying 'death to Arabs' is perfectly acceptable and legitimate because Arabs aren't Semites'? Is that what you're saying, @MrTiddlesTheCat ?

Coming onto a thread and criticising people posting on it because they have remained on topic rather than veering off onto that poster's more favoured topic and then trying to get the thread onto that more favoured topic is shit forum behaviour.

When it's trying to derail a discussion about antisemitism onto criticism of Israel, it could also be seen to be something else.

The extreme right wing nutjobs are putting out a call to arms for Saturday on social media. God help anyone sensible who finds themselves in central London on Saturday.

Folk on the antisemitism antisemitism antisemitism theme constantly veer off. On threads supposedly about lobdon/uk, they often start referencing things in other bits of the planet. Not always being transparent that they are. A forum is just that. As I said, if no discussion is allowed suggest you get the thread locked, or maybe pay mnet for a scrolling banner.

I imagine it will be like any other Saturday in town. Folks can join the march or not. Do you know london? Where are you? London is demo central for all sorts of things.

@Ecdysiast if they are not at war who is fighting with the IDF in Gaza at the moment and firing rockets into Israel? They aren't a ' hostage population'. They are the terrorist organisation that chose to live amongst their own people. They put their people through this. Your anger is misplaced.

They aren't right wing nut jobs, they are patriots. If you're referring to Tommy Robinson, he's just called for British people to stand up for the bullying that's going on towards the Jewish. He was at a recent pro Israel march. That doesn't make him far right.
