Hi everyone, can I hop onboard this open-top bus please? I've been lurking for awhile and I could definitely do with a Pimms in good company. I stumbled off the Feb 2011 baby bus 3 weeks ago after having an early mc at 5wks. Feeling like I'm ready to get back on the bus if you ladies will squeeze over and make room for one more!

Stats-wise, I'm expecting AF to rock up in around a week then it's all systems go into the next cycle, which if successful would land me an April surprise.

Wednesday:

How's it going everyone? Anyone had a sneaky POAS yet? I know what you're all like

I'm ovulation spotting at the moment as it usually seems to happen soon after AF. But supposing I did spot it before we go away, should I do anything about it or write this month off for the reasons stated above?

So confusing!

OP posts:
twowoulddo · 07/07/2010 14:31

I am sooooo near to POAS... Have tests in the house and they are burning a hole in my drawer!

I have decided to do a first POAS Saturday morning although am sure that will be too early but still...

Had a major dizziness spell today which I had frequent bouts of with last BFp so am really hopeful!

matumble · 07/07/2010 16:19

sorry all looks like i am off the bus, dh is in the RAF and has just had word that they will be sending him somewhere sandy next april and whilst i can cope with parenting dd1,2,3 without him the end of pregnancy+labour+newborn dc4 doesnt appeal much so im going to dissapear and hope desperately that our swi hasnt come to anything this month or i will be due within days of him going

thanks loopy, its a short det and could be to worse places within the region so all in all im quite grateful, he has been in 2 years this month so our first experience of it all. amat a small base and i know the girls here would be brilliant if i was pregnant but dont intend to be silly now we have dates!

good luck everyone else

Saladbomb · 07/07/2010 19:17

ah sorry to hear that matumble hope your fella keeps safe. not much to report this end, waiting for AF to bugger off and my bumper pack of pee sticks to arrive from amazon. have decided still to monitor my ov this way this month as its the first time i've used them so should still be informative even if i"ll be away at the crucial moment. also got first appointment at the gyni specialist at the hospital tomorrow, not really sure what to expect!

Morning all, ok so I POAS last night! I knew I woiuldn't last. No surprise it was negative as by my reckoning I was only 7DPO and 5 days before AF. No idea why I did it really!

Not doing it now until Sunday!

caramellokoalalover · 08/07/2010 11:13

oooh, good luck to the 2ww'ers. two, still def in with a chance, early days yet.

whilst having said i sat this cycle out, i just checked on FF and saw we did bd once 7 days before ovulation. would have to be super-sperm to survive that long, but you can never help but wonder can you . slim, slim chances so will try not to go mad with symptom spotting, am only 3dpo afterall (late ovulator here)!

rockbird, am sure you've thought of this, but if you do get uppeth duffeth and have to go on a boat you could try seabands. or get your GP to prescribe something as loop said. there are loads of meds that are safe to take and it would only be for a short time...

takingtheplunge · 08/07/2010 14:03

Aha, I see twowoulddo has caved in. I remain firm. Going to try to hold out til I am actually late...i.e Monday.

My "symptoms" are:

weepy
no sore boobs (usually get them before period, didn' get them when pregnant)
the beginnings of minor cramps (had cramps when pg, before I knew I was)
bloated (but that could be easily explained by too many cakes).

Not convinced either way. A bit scared I might be pregnant as I'd kind of convinced myself it would take a couple of months at least and still feeling a bit "OMG, what am I thinking...two children...I barely cope with one???" IYSWIM. But also excited too. Bit of a head fuck all round this TTC lark.

DH asked if my period had come this morning. Think he's quite excited in a blokey way.

I'm a bit scared of the result . Plus, bit awkward to get a test at the mo, without the whole world knowing and probably not pregnant anyway. Cramps getting a bit stronger. Keep going to loo, but been drinking lots of water for the heat anyway.

Nicolaplus1 · 08/07/2010 16:05

Hi Girls

Sorry i havent posted for a while i have had to stop myself so i didnt go insane LOL
the more i read somethimes make the time go slower

Anyway CD14 so let the shagathon start
ovulation due this weekend so fingers crossed

delilahbelle · 08/07/2010 17:35

Hi all - loads of stuff since I was last on here!

caramel I am in a similar situation to you, sucks doesn't it? Supposed to be waiting this cycle out, but am going for it anyway. So far have persuaded DH to do the horizontal tango every day this week, plan on making a month of it. Think my hormones have hit the roof cos I am raring to go...

Rockbird Go for it! Nothing to lose - and I'm sure there is some anti nausea stuff out there for pregnant people. I am due to OV soon as well by my count and am frantically symptom spotting... nothing concrete so far.

takingtheplunge and other 2WWers', am keeping my fingers crossed this is a super fertile bus. And no POAS until you are ...oooh.... at least 10dpo

8rubberduckies · 08/07/2010 20:04

Hi all, hope you are all doing well, I am in the middle of moving house! Arrrgh! Too tired to SWI, so hoping OV won't happen for a few days yet.

Rockbird I used those wristband things when I had morning sickness and they rock! I would highly recommend them for nausea, sorted me out completely whenever I wore them.

I'm not going to have an internet connection at my new house for at least a week and we move tomorrow (WTF am I going to do with my spare time?), so may not have a chance to catch up on much, unless I get a minute at work. I am looking forward to lots of good news upon my return all you people at the front of the bus . Good Luck!!!!

DarciesmumandTTC2 · 09/07/2010 09:39

Hey ladies,

sorry not been around on the bus everyday been really busy. I can see theres some exciting things going on tho.

I'll be standing at the next bus stop with Rockbird as i've been poorly all week so no SWI or SFF

delilahbelle · 09/07/2010 11:43

Got a sneaky morning swi in this morning. Hope it's enough as dh is away with friends tonight and tomorrow. Plan to leave work early and grab him again before he goes... have not used any of my ov sticks, might try one this afternoon to see if I get anything.
How is everyone else today?
