mrswill lol at the image of you with a torch on BFN, can just picture a cartoon image of you progrssing to a spotlight when torch doesn't' deliver, then football pitch style floodlight!

Luckily DH doesn't speak mumsnet so I am sure by diary entries would be Greek to him with all the abbrevs.

Second SWI last night... Come on LH surge!

Hi all
Speaking of zinc - can I recommend Tesco/Sainsbury's fizzy tablets of zinc and vit C? Have persuaded DH they are a useful health supplement and he drinks them every morning

mrswill Loopy Prinpo So it's not just me that has to look at the pee sticks 10 times, in every possible light source?

More later I expect.

Bicnod · 21/07/2010 07:38

ERgh. I am very very tired as DS is teething like a little teething monster. But I am mumsnetting working from home today so get to avoid the morning crush on the tube, hurrah

So tonight is first night of SWI for this cycle - don't think I'll be ov'ing until next week but I see this as preparation for DH's swimmers.

Delilah - you still hanging in there?

Prinpo PMSL at "I have a Masters degree and a mortgage" - none of us are immune to the madness of TTC, especially when it comes to POAS. You can convince yourself there's a line if you stare long enough. DH won't play the game - he just looks at me like I'm mad and says 'erm, there's no line'.

ravenlocks glad i'm not the only one documenting - makes me feel like i have some control over the situation whereas, in face, i have none whatsoever. ho hum.

mrswill - DH broke his collarbone recently cycling. Now this is officially A Very Bad Thing, but actually it is preventing him from cycling to and from work everyday which i'm secretly quite pleased about. he claims that wearing lycra (nice) twice a day for an hour at a time makes no difference to his swimmers - i am less convinced as everyone talks about throwing out the tighty whities on here...

right. must eat porridge, drink tea and start work

delilahbelle · 21/07/2010 07:49

Bicnod I must admit I POAS again this morning. I am 8dpo, and that is stupidly early. Stared at it under different lights for a good 15 min. Convinced myself there was a ghost of a line. Looked away and back and it had gone. Another BFN then...

No doubt will be trying again tomorrow.

Ravenlocks I have lots of different symbols for my diary, marking SWI, ov pains, cramps etc etc etc. Obsessive, moi?

Bicnod · 21/07/2010 07:52

Oh Delilah - BFN sucks but you're only 8dpo so very unlikely to show up even if you are pg. Will keep fingers and toes crossed for you.

I know I know - it's an addiction and I shouldn't be doing it!

Only have 2 tests left, so am going to TRY and hold out until Friday.

Lib76 · 21/07/2010 08:40

Morning girls! so re-assuring that i am not alone hold sticks up to the light at every angle just in case [laugh]

So, DH said he was too tired to SWI last night..WTF??! so i calmly said ok honey (through gritted teeth!) Im guessing i could still ovulate this wk as my cycles are so varied. So i will be jumping on DH tonight whether he likes it or not!!

Karstan · 21/07/2010 08:40

Decided I'm going to try and hold out until Saturday to poas if no af before then. Normally only get up 15 mins before biking to work so it'll be much nicer to do it after a lay in on Saturday. Whatever the result I don't want to have to spend all day thinking about it without being able to talk to anyone about it.

ps. My nails are great right now, no idea if this is a sign of anything but it's a symptom I'm happy to keep

BenignNeglect · 21/07/2010 09:16

Morning all!

After a little calculation and finally getting the DH happy with everything (it's nice to see him getting broody) I am hopping aboard too. Would've been here earlier but would have had to run infront of the bus according to the MN calculator...

Stats are: TTC#1 cycle#2 UCL 26 CD6

stuffedmk · 21/07/2010 09:18

SLAP ME!!!!!
I could be as much as 8dpo so POAS.....BFN....Even if I am as much as 8dpo there was no point
I have no more tests in the house so will order some ebay cheapies, which makes me have to wait a couple more days lol

Karstan · 21/07/2010 09:18

In other news I dreamt I had a baby last night. He was very smiley but then some people dropped him and he landed in a tub of blackberries and it was at that point I realised he was miniature, and then I was upset because I couldn't tell the difference between a blackberry and his head...

(this is a fairly normal level of weirdness for my dreams although babies don't often feature)

Anyway, I've brought millionaires shortbread for this morning and I've got eton mess for this afternoon, shout up if you want some I can't eat all this myself

stuffedmk · 21/07/2010 09:19

On another note, I actually can't wait for the summer holidays....6 weeks of laying in

stuffedmk · 21/07/2010 09:21

Oooh Karstan weird dreams are a sign you know

delilahbelle · 21/07/2010 09:40

stuffedmk consider yourself slapped - but you'll need to slap me back because I did exactly the same thing this morning myself. Can I gloat a little, I have already finished work... love the summer holidays

Karstan weird dreams are supposed to indicate pregnancy, this one sounds good. Although it could just be you like bleckberries... Will have some of your millionaires shortbread if that's OK.

stuffedmk · 21/07/2010 09:46

slaps delilah back lol

LadyGoneGaga · 21/07/2010 10:52

Can I jump on the bus please? New to Mumsnet so please be gentle with me and don't throw blown up johnnies at my head or empty my bag out on the floor.

TTc #2 cycle 2 UCL 33ish CD8

Still breastfeeding two year old so might affect things. He wasn't planned so new to this doing it on purpose malarkey. Started charting too to stop me obsessing about when RTD due and testing too soon.

DP working away during week at the mo so we hoping for weekend ovulation and/or a following wind for his swimmers.

lemonsherbet · 21/07/2010 11:57

Can I also join. Have been lurking around here but this will be my first bus.

TTC#1 cycle 1 UCL 30 CD9

CharlottesClan · 21/07/2010 12:04

i tested. far too early, bloody test was calling me lol! bfn natch.
does anyone else take their tests apart just to sure.. or am i just weird?

ebay ones came today, so daily testing i think. thing is once i get the bfp i keep testing for weeks afterwards to check the line is getting stronger.. so i need them really. lol!

UniMummy · 21/07/2010 12:40

I am vey very confused ladies!! Another BFN this morning, bloody body being bloody confusing and I've had about a bloody enough of it and its silly ways!!!

mrswill this morning I pulled the stick out of the bin again after a few minutes, convinced it would show if I held it to the light. When this failed I also tried natural light, closing one eye and moving it round as though i was trying to get signal on a phone... I think TTC has officially driven me crazy

Off to do some jobs...

sprinkles baby dust and haribo on the way out
