welcome lateatwork I will join the rest in a cocktail, trying to think of suitably ttc names for some, 2ww perhaps? poas possibly a little graphic though maybe made with apple juice? sorry!

well as expected a bfn this morning but at a guess im 9dpo so didnt expect anything else, feeling really sick and woke with a headache this morning i do hope these symptoms arent some sort of response from my body to how much im focusing on this

its dawned on me this morning, i cant win, either way i will be either dissapointed (bfn) or scared and confused (bfp due to dh going away nest april) oh well what will be will be i guess

Bicnod · 16/07/2010 07:02

Hello ladies, I've been lurking around the conception threads and posting here and there for months, so think it's time I hopped on a bus.

AF got me this morning so I'm just starting cycle 8 TTC #2. UCL 26-28.

DH broke his collarbone so didn't get much SWI action last month - he isn't going to know what's hit him this month, I almost feel sorry for him [determined grimace]

delilahbelle · 16/07/2010 07:15

matumble 9dpo is waaaay to early to test. Leave it until Monday and try again. Sorry you are so mixed up about the result, but whatever happens I am sure it will turn out for the best.

Bicnod welcome, think you are currently sat on the naughty seat at the back of the bus

lateatwork have a nice evening, I have a work do so no SFF for DH - to be honest after the last week I think he is glad of the time off.

AFM... more dreams. I dreamt I was pregnant, peeing on a stick and the lines came up, woke up and realised it was a dream, but poas and I was still pregnant... repeat ad nauseam until I finally woke up properly and realised it was waay to early to tell. V tempted to pee on a stick though.
I am taking this as a good sign though, as both times I was previously pregnant I had dreams that I was after OV/before I tested.

Promise I am not normally so out there, but this TTC lark would send anyone mad

delilahbelle · 16/07/2010 07:17

dammit Loopymumsy I ment that comment for you, not lateatwork.
Too early for sensible typing - not too early for chocolate for breakfast!

matumble · 16/07/2010 07:25

i know delilah only tested as it is dh birthday so figured if by some fluke i got a bfp it would make his day, did it without him knowing though as i expected the bfn die to being so early, if any of that makes sense! hope your dream is a good sign

welcome bicnod

ljg72 · 16/07/2010 07:52

Hello all...yes very quiet last night.

I was glued to computer symptom searching, so no nookie for DP.

Delilahbelle! get you with your dreams!!! ACE hope it's a sign .

Well I have been very naughty and POAS this morning...and got a BFN...obviously!!! now feel crap! will I ever learn? it wasn't even an early one, so was never in a million years going to be positive.

Welcome Bicnod ! have you brought sweets??

Loopy good for you on your choc fest!.

Have a good day all! sooo close to testing time I can hardly contain myself...X

Woo, it's Friday. I've bought bacon cobs to celebrate!

This time next week if no sign of af I might poas. Although don't really feel like it's happened this month and it's early days of this ttc game. By my calculations I can take a seat on the April bus for another month yet anyways

Bicnod · 16/07/2010 09:05

Thank you for the welcome ladies.

ljg I didn't bring sweets but I brought warm chocolate brownies and ice cream - will that do?

Loopy - I think the recently purchased tube of delightfully named preseed has put pay to any pretence of this just being about DH being irresistible. He's not complaining though... yet...

matumble · 16/07/2010 10:19

bicnod do come sit next to me with those brownies

loopy i know i know but it was worth a try, think my poor dh was looking forward to being jumped frequently, he will be even more disappointed on that front if i am, over a year without any action seems a little mean!

ImpatientHove · 16/07/2010 10:22

Hi ladies - can I join? I am still waiting for af to arrive but I am fairly sure she will be along in the next day or so having POAS today with first monrining pee and got a BFN. Will just hang around here while I wait to go onto my 5th cycle TTC if ok with you!

Am going to a fantastic restaurant tonight for DH's birthday - to drink or not - what do you think??

caramellokoalalover · 16/07/2010 12:02

hi lovely ladies, hope all the 2wwers' symptoms are flourishing! never too soon to spot a symptom I say. From 3dpo in my last pregnancy I had crazy combo of insomnia/vivid dreams and i was convinced I was preggers, and was, so to all those who tell you it's too early to feel changes, never. or maybe i just couldn't sleep because i was obsessing over symptoms? nah!

welcome lateatwork and thanks for the great use for the sticks. i can now totally justify the spend to my oh who until now had thought i was wasting money. pffffff. we can always use cocktail sticks .

loopy you have just started me humming spice girls 2 become 1!

i'm off on hols tomorrow for a week so i'll be looking forward to getting back and seeing some grads on our lucky bus. good luck good luck good luck! i will be sure to bring back plenty of sweets and cheap booze...i think our supplies will need replenishing the way we're getting through them!

delilahbelle · 16/07/2010 12:23

caramel you give me hope that my mad dreams mean something. 3dpo and my current symptom spot is achey ovaries, also like last time. Really hate the 2ww, I just want to know. One week till I can even think about poas..
Hi to everyone else, hope you are having a good day.

stuffedmk · 16/07/2010 12:35

Why do I do it to myself?.....no I'm not going that far wrong lol

I decided at the beginning of this cycle not to obsess and try and figure out when ov'ing. This worked until 2 days ago when I felt the need to dig out the opks.....problem is, I could quite possibly have already ov'd. If I had just started when I should have this wouldn't be an issue
So now I am desperately trying to figure out if I have ov'd yet or not
Not having a regular cycle makes me crazy!!!

caramellokoalalover · 16/07/2010 13:25

oh no stuffedmk i feel for you. any changes in cm that could lead you to deduce when the big O was/is??

my control freak side has led me to temp chart. so much for not obsessing over ttc...bloody hard when you have to make it the first thing you think of each day. i might be tempted to shell out on a cbfm next cycle if i don't get a bfp this cycle, just so i can make the ttc checkpoint later in the day and not start each day thinking about it!

at those people who manage to coast through ttc not knowing/caring when/if they ovulate!

lateatwork · 16/07/2010 13:27

Thanks for the great welcome... although am feeling quite nervous about being up near the front of the bus... i also bulk bought ovulation sticks. might find some craft project for my daughter to use them up.... should i get BFP this month... see i AM trying to be positive...

stuffedmk i know what you mean. was totally convinced i had all symptoms of being annovulatory after I read TCOYF book. Complete panic stations... then lucky enough to have scan right around ovulation this month and proved that i did... (well this month anyway...) now can only blame BFN on sperm being rubbish at catch or egg being too good at hide and seek...

Have got my thermometer in a draw but have been trying not to get too hung up on the charting/checking for signs this time.....Am TRYING to be relaxed but it ain't working!!!!!
I decided after the mc that whatever will be will be.........A girl's allowed to change her mind right

Think I will start charting again next cycle if BFN this time.

lateatwork · 16/07/2010 15:06

yup... this cycle i have become temping charting freak. i bought 4 (yup 4) thermometers as i didnt trust the first one i bought.. DD now has one for her and her doll too... its a family affair... only hope i dont get a call from daycare about her unusual request for a thermometer before she gets up from her nap... hmmm

loopy am loving the idea of placemats.

KirstyJC · 16/07/2010 20:51

Hey ladies, how are we all?

I'm sitting here trying to convince myself that the slight twinge in my abdomen that I felt for about 5 seconds just now was OBVIOUSLY implantation, when acutally it was more likely to be wind!!

I am also very definitely NOT going to POAS yet.......luckily DH does the shopping and he hasn't bought any.

kirstyjc ttc#3 UCL28 CD20

Fingers crossed for us all!

matumble · 16/07/2010 22:02

its so easy to get caught up isnt it kirsty, then feel stupid with a bfn. lets hope for plenty of bfp's this month

Hi all, hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Looks like we may have a few people testing soon.

Welcome kirsty I hope this month works for you.

lateatwork woah, that's some thermometer habit. At least you'll never not have one...

stuffdmk definitely you can change you mind. This month was supposed to be all about not really trying, and getting back together after my chem preg. I have changed that into SWI rather a lot and now symptom spotting.

Today I have woken up with a headache and sore throat, can't even blame alcohol as I wasn't drinking last night. Few twinges, but nothing I can really think of as a promising symptom. 4dpo, 10 days until I test...

ravenlocks · 17/07/2010 10:32

Wow, the bus is really filling up! Lots of people will be testing soon, will be sooooo good to have some BPFs soon.

With me I am gearing up for a week of SWIing. Had some SFF this morning to get DH back into the groove.

Going to do my first ever ovulation tests/ POAS thing tomorrow. Got a truckload from eBay delivered earlier this week. Clearly p*ing on a stick is not that hard but can't help feeling I will get this wrong - do at same time of day each day (with my day job that will be tricky), don't drink too much before (how much is too much?!) and judging the relative darkness of various lines - help?! Those who do this is it "slap you in the face" obvious when you are having a surge and does the time of day and amount you drink really make a difference???

Tried the temperature checking thing for about 2 days before I feel off the wagon. I found myself in the shower or half way to work thinking "doh! forgot again".

Randomly I also think I have symptoms (twinges, nausea), but if I was pregnant it would be no less of a miracle than the immaculate conception. Apart from this morning no sex of any type (FF or WI) since AF. So during my 2WW I am going to (try to !!) ignore all symptoms as clearly all in my head.

Pass the PIMMS, nice sunny day and going to try to abstain from booze after this weekend to aid the TTC thing.... fat chance.

xxxxxxxxxxx
