We're getting serious this time BESHies. Welcome to the Palace, where the emphasis is on sophistication. Cast your eyes over the plush carpet, admire the oh-so-carefully worn leather armchairs with sidetables and little green lamps. We have the Bonds of the ages as barstaff, waiting to serve martinis and the finest champagne.

To your left you'll see the Pit, which hopefully we won't be needing much. To your right the Cave of Gloom, and straight ahead we have our special space for the 2WOOFL. You'll find beanbags and gym balls there, the walls have been specially painted to allow you to write your symptoms up and wipe them off if they disappear. It's all the rage for Blue Sky thinking these days. And there are donuts and coffee to keep you going as you try to shift that paradigm.

for those of you not lurking in PESH palace for news, ski is being induced today and rots waters have gone. it's all kicking off!

RunLyraRun · 01/07/2010 09:12

Eeek! Am going over for more details.

laurielou · 01/07/2010 09:29

Cass sorry you're in the middle of all the arrangements - tis a rubbish time, eh? Take it easy.

Gin Yey for the feeling sick

I'm now on CD32. Am not going to test until I reach CD100. I've been hyped up before for it all to crash & burn. (OK, I'll see how I go by the weekend). BUT.....I think droid might be on way. Funny feeling in tummy & lower back & more spots then I had throughout my teens. And tired. So bloody tired.

The PESH deli is all go go go!!!

Muser · 01/07/2010 09:32

You know all those symptoms are also diffed ones laurie? Good idea on holding off for testing, not that I'm one to advise on that. But it does only bring the menkul.

La la la

Casserole · 01/07/2010 09:58

Just had the plumber round, who was rude and patronising for 40 or the 45 minutes he was here, then charm personified for the last 5, clearly hoping for a tip.

Keep hoping, muggafucker.

Slept better last night though didn't get there till gone midnight again. Off to funeral directors in a bit. With a two year old! How inappropriate. But Mum wants company there. Perhaps they'll have some toy coffin samples or headstones he can play with or something....

Casserole · 01/07/2010 10:09

Not to blow my own trumpet or anyfink (toot TOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!), but I've been fucking funny here I feel...

Ariesgirl · 01/07/2010 10:25

I too have been tres amusant in reply, Cassie. I wonder if anyone other than ourselves will agree? It is in AIBU after all, and there are some people on there who are notable for their lack of humour. Wankers!

Ariesgirl · 01/07/2010 10:29

And Cass, your inappropriate humour regarding two year olds and coffins is one reason why you iz my fren. But I simply must point out your spelling of "depply".

Hope it's not too awful, though. I've often heard people say that the list of Things To Do directly after someone dies is good for them - keeps them busy and not too sad in the first days. Obviously it's not like that for everyone - sorry if this is insensitive.

ginhag · 01/07/2010 10:40

lyra have you had anything arrive special delivery the past couple of days?

Ocarina · 01/07/2010 10:52

Laurie I'm impressed with your self control on not testing.

No such self control needed here, droid arrived this morning. Which on the plus side means my LP was a day longer than usual, but at 9 days is still shit. Am fed up.

RunLyraRun · 01/07/2010 10:54

Gin! Card came through yesterday, it's waiting at the PO. So that's what it is - pressie for Lyra wheeeeeeee .

Fanks luvver . Will try to get it later. Wonder what it is

RunLyraRun · 01/07/2010 10:56

Sorry Occie . I feel your pain. Don't really know what my LP is, but with a 23-25 day cycle at the moment, I think we can safely say it's short. Polly's Aunty Cactus seems to have made it worse

Ariesgirl · 01/07/2010 11:04

Sorry to hear that Oxsters. It's the daring to hope bit that gets you isn't it - then your body just laughs at you

Regarding Aunty Cactus/Agnyss Cactus, I may give her the boot as well. I've been having 31/32/33 cycles and now I appear to maybe be ending a 25/26 day one. I defintiely feel premenstrual now - pish and tish to the menkulism of yesterday evening. I have no idea at all what's happening. May just stay on on the B6 and see if that helps the spotting at all.

And the weather's turned crap.

Ocarina · 01/07/2010 11:10

Definitely the daring to hope that's worst. I try every month to stay rational and expect it not to happen, but there's always the little bit of me that says maybe, just maybe.

PerfectDromedary · 01/07/2010 11:35

Oc Are you sure about your LP? Sorry to be all "I googled too much and now I know everything", but could you not be ovulating early? But still, this doesn't help with the droid-related misery.

I gave up on daring to hope, but I suspect that was easier because I had the early warning spotting and because I had been told NOT to hope by the IVF people.

Airy B6 definitely helped the spotting with me, suspect Agnus Castus didn't do me much good, though I took it obsessively anyway.

Ariesgirl · 01/07/2010 11:41

What strength did you take Dromster?

Ocarina · 01/07/2010 11:51

Camel I'm not sure I'm sure about anything! Ov date is based on temps (severe lack of stretchy FFJ/sensible results from OPKs don't help), so possible over-reliance on fertility friend, but I can see the pattern of raised temps not lasting very long, and drop definitely precedes droid. So I guess it could be that ov is earlier than I think, but we've generally done enough SWI that that should be covered if you see what I mean.

RunLyraRun · 01/07/2010 11:52

Ooh maybe I need B6 too?

My pattern is at least 3 days of beige-becoming-gradually-brown before anything red turns up, and the same at the end of the droid (which is a pitiful 2 or 3 days in the middle). So a really short droid ends up taking over about 10 days .

Please someone prescribe me something!

PerfectDromedary · 01/07/2010 11:52

I started off with Berocca, then realised that might be a bad idea. I took Pregnacare preconception, wheatgrass, spirulina, omega 3, agnus castus, apimist honey, black cohosh, milk thistle and ginseng. There's definitely enough B6 in the Pregnacare tablets - they turn your wee luminous, which is always a Good Thing.

Then there was the acupuncture. I avoided all the Chinese herbs, though I know they worked for Pol, as my acupuncturist put the fear of god into me about the way that they are sourced.

And I started TTC as a Ben-Goldacre-is-always-right rationalist, ffs.

Ariesgirl · 01/07/2010 11:59

What's wrong with Berocca ?

I've been taking the H&B B6 50mg, which has the wee effect also. Always fun to wee into a loo which has blue cleaner in it and watch the resulting greenness. Should be used in primary school to illustrate 2 primary colours creating a secondary colour.

PerfectDromedary · 01/07/2010 12:05

The Vitamin C? I think overdosing on that is a bad thing while TTC, but am not sure why.

Yes! to the weeing. Esp because primary school children are really amused by wee.

Ocarina · 01/07/2010 12:26

I've always said no way ever to acupuncture for anything on the basis of not wanting needles stuck in me, and my inability to understand how on earth it could help. The experience of some of you makes me wonder whether it's something worth investigating.

PerfectDromedary · 01/07/2010 12:44

There's no actual scientific evidence for acupuncture. But you get to a stage where anything is worth ago, anything at all...

Oc I'm pretty sure, as I have said before, that my LP was and indeed is befucken. And Pol, if she was about, would tell you the same thing. So try not to worry too much about it (ha! it is to laugh! I know how unhelpful that is, but I want to sound reassuring).

Lyra I haz a very similar pattern. I think because my FSH was so out of whack. Acupuncture! Also all the things I mentioned in my big list of things.

RunLyraRun · 01/07/2010 12:55

But fuck me Cam, that's an awfully long list. Do I have to take all of it?

Cannot do acupuncture, because can't commit all that time and money to something with no evidence. Talking of which, any evidence for any of the supps?

Had, not haz, by the way - droid is past tense for you now!
