Hi girls, this is the new, combined thread. I figured that only those lucky enough to manage it this month would make it into spring, so I'm aiming for a big summer belly. Good luck to all of us!

For some reason my last strip test fell into my urine and i got a faint positive just over the time limit by a miniute, the liner is more clearer than any of the others and is slightly pink, where as the others weren't, i am taking this as a BFP!!

Congrats Puppy, sounds good to me . At this rate you will all have moved on by the time we at properly ttc. Are u still going to the docs tomorrow?

By the way - what is this members profile thing, and how do I get at it? I'm still learning how this all works

Dana, still waiting for results here, I feel like a kid at Christmas racing to the post every day to see if there's anything for me. When I get it I will be here like a shot to let you ladies know, and then the BD-ing will start in earnest AF due in the next week (still waiting for cycle to settle down after coming off pill, so not sure exactly when), so hoping I get get my results in time for getting some attempts in next cycle.

well girls, AF came. that solves the mystery of the symptoms i had. so we go into the third month or trying now. i think i might start doing the temperature thing now. do i need to use an oral one or can i use an ear thermometer?

Oh, so sorry LL . I'm just waiting for mine to arrive and we can head into month 3 together.
So disappointing though, when you get all the symptoms. Why could there not be seperate symptoms for AF and PG???

Good morning girls.

AF arrived yesterday afternoon (we're syncronising LL). Went shopping on the way home and really craved chocolate, so just knew.
Oh well, good thing is my cycle was "only" 42 days this time, so it's going in the right direction.

Hi LL I think it has to be an oral thermometer, I got one from Boots with the charts to record your temp on. Worked for me last time!!

The things I've read about temping mention oral or vaginal thermometers only. I think I've got the same one as Jersey - came from Boots with a little case and book to record your temps in.

oh dana, sorry you've got AF come too now.
looks like i will maybe have another june child if we're lucky this cycle. if the due date would be too close to DD's birthday we would skip TTC for a month, but it should be 2 weeks earlier.

Sorry about AF coming, Dana and LL
I think I'm on CD7 today. AF came at 11.30 last thurs eve so not sure if I should count that as day 1 or not.
Does anyone know, can I get a blue line on the OV sticks but not actually ovulate? Would temping be more accurate?
Can't believe I'm sounding so desperate after only 3mths of trying!
I think the problem is that I caught first time with DS so I was hoping for the same this time.
I'm very impatient!

dana, DD's birthday is 23rd of june. she actually knows we want another baby and it's ALL she talks about.
homemama, i feel the same. i am so impatient and it drives DP mad. thing is a cycle takes so long and there's a lot of waiting around, not good for my nerves!

Have been on holiday and trying to catch up on everyone. Af not due for a while but got no +ves on ov test I got from ebay so not sure if I'm ovulating. It was my 3rd month of trying and got pregnant first time with my son.

Does anyone know how long you have to try before getting dr tests done? I'm 39 so its a bit more urgent. I have considered lying! I know some women on here have not had any NHS help with secondary infertility.

Homemama, I am the same. I also hoped it would be as easy this time as it was with DS. I am especially annoyed with my long cycles. Every unsuccessful cycle is another 1 1/2 month gone.

You can get a positive on ov tests without actually ovulating (can't remember the scientific reason). Don't know about temps, but would imagine the two together would give you a better idea. Would kind of like to try myself, but haven't got the disciplin and also want to try not to get too obsessed just yet. (Yeah right )

hi all, went to see doctor sent me for a urgent blood test as i started bleeding last night on and off. he thinks that af is arriving even though i showed him the test and explained all my symptons. he says these tests can be overly sensitive- eh? maybe hes right, maybe it is af coming after all and that i could have misread the signals and i have a hormone blip. Doctors should ring with result this afternoon.

hi jane, when dh and i were trying for our first we went to the doctors and was told we had secondary infertility, we had been trying a year, dh is older than me he was 37 and i was 25, we went to the doctors and he referred us to the hospital immediately. not even put us on temping.
