Hi Boba and Keziah I think I will just have to test early tomorrow morning as I am not know for my patience!

I am on cycle 15 but CBFM cycle 5 or 6 i cant remember now!

We really need to see some BFP's on here soon as i think Angel was last in early May... FX for us all. xx

Harry2007 · 18/08/2010 13:32

Well Boba I can't believe it! No telegram! I think you should complain {grin}

I've just had my scan - was expecting another internal but she did an abdominal. She warned me beforehand that I wouldn't really be able to see much difference from last week but that she would check that the gestational sac was growing. It was obvious that the sac had indeed grown - it had doubled in size. As she was prodding around she said, see that white flickering light there, that's your baby's heartbeat. Needless to say I cried Blush She said it was a shock to see it so early because I didn't actually ovulate until day 17 so although I am 6 weeks by last LMP, I'm actually only 5 and a half according to ovulation date.

The sense of relief is absolutely amazing.
Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I'm going back at 9 weeks for another scan but as the heartbeat has been seen, the risk of miscarriage is greatly reduced.

StormBird · 18/08/2010 13:50

thats fantastic news Harry congratulations.

I'm so pleased for you.....here's to a healthy preganancy.

Harry i am so pleased for you. Hopefully now you will be able to relax a little and enjoy your pregnancy. Big hugs xx

row78 · 18/08/2010 15:46

congraulations harry!

Can Ihave a bit of advice from you ladies? I think I usually ovulate on day 15, but can't be sure. I'm on CD 10 and CB is still saying low fertility, however yesterday I have quite a bit of ewcm. We BD yesterday but should I keep doing so? My niece is staying and last night she got stung by a wasp just as we were getting jiggy with it so it's not that easy at the moment! Should I trust the ewcm or CBFM?

Keziahhopes · 18/08/2010 17:10

Congrats Harry - let us know how 9wk scan goes.

row - I went from lows, to one high to peak this month, so if you can bd every other day right now I am sure that would be fine, and you will probably get peak very soon anyway. I was told to not bd every day anyway to improve semen numbers etc.

Hi ladies and hullo all the new people.

I've had a cr*p month with loads of work and also had spotting constantly from 6DPO until today, when AF as just arrived 2 days early. I wasn't PG - -'ve on all tests. I do think something might be wrong though so am fretting a bit.

harry I would have cried with relief too if I was in your shoes. Great news for you!

boba good luck for tomorrow. I've had an HSG exactly where you'll be going. It's not as bad as you think it might be - period crampy, if that. For me, the worst part was that ^&*%$ thing they use when they give you a smear test... for some reason I find that really sore (but think I might be unusual in that regard). Take ibuprofen and paracetemol before going in although I don't think I did that and don't think I needed to. Only thing that surprised me was I couldn't have DH in the room with me - I have become very used to having me hold my hand through everything and hated not having him there too. He came and waited in the waiting room, and I felt a bit emotional afterwards (I always do around hospitals and all this is stressful, isn't it) so was glad he was there when I came out. But very good luck - honestly ... it'll be fine. x

vnewmummy would love to hear more about your IUI experience and how it works. DH very keen for us to try that before IVF if we get to that stage of things. Really hoping you get a BFP!

keziah I'll dance around the room if you get a BFP. You've been through the mill. Hang in there.

I'm off to get drunk I think, finding each CD1 harder and harder to get through as the months roll by. We'll have been TTC for 18mths now, and there's no doubt now that I will be over 40 when I have my first child..... if I ever get there.

TangoTime · 18/08/2010 19:52

I've not had much to report until today but see that there have been some highs and lows.

My first event on the CBFM is that I've had my first recorded high on CD 11. Funnily enough it coincided with a skin outbreak (I've always had good skin but since coming off the pill I keep getting spots with all my hormones).

Unfortunately DH is out of the country on business. He lands back tomorrow morning so I'm planning an ambush when I see him in the evening. Do they need to be awake for an ambush? Grin. I'm just hoping the tactic will pay off!

Keziahhopes · 18/08/2010 22:36

chocciechip - sorry for cd1 again, I felt awful this month - 24mths for us. I must be unusual too - as the same thing hurts me!!
I will dance too when you get your bfp - why not arrange our bfp's for same time - when do you fancy? Grin

StormBird · 19/08/2010 08:56

Tangotime congrats on the high and good luck for the SWIing.

chocciechip sorry AF got you hun. I'm definately up for a bit of dancing too when you get your BFP.

Well got a smiley face on a CB Digi OPK yesterday and was all set to get down to business when me and DP had a mahoosive row and then he broke my laptop screen. Stupid git! Anyway, he's grovelling now and I've told him I can forgive him but for the time being I'm still mad at him Grin . So we'll prob make up tonight and get a bit more BD time in, I just hope I haven't missed my window cos of a silly row. We'll just have to wait and see I suppose. (I'm pretty sure I've got OV pain today though)

vnewmummy · 19/08/2010 09:54

Hi everyone

OMG I scared to type this as so early and dont watn to jinx it but I got my BFP today. (2 days early)I am of course really happy just a bit nervous.

I have done 3 tests just to make sure and all positive although lines still a bit light.

I think it was a combination of the following:

Clomid and IUI - privately at CRCH
Acupuncture - 3 sessions over last month
Relaxed, as not long back from holiday and took time off work too.
Decaf coffee and no booze which was the hardest thing for me.

We still BD every other day from day 9 and waited 3 days before IUI was carried out.

I will keep testing over next few days as last year i had 2 BFP but after 10 days AF arrived. So FX.

xx

Lychees · 19/08/2010 10:32

vnewmummy, many many congrats to you. So happy for you. Keeping my fingers crossed for a super sticky one.

Boba, hope HSG went/goes well today.

Harry pleased everything was fine at your scan.

Tango and Storm hope you manage to DTD at the right time.

Choccie, sorry you're back at CD1. Go and treat yourself. It always makes me feel a bit better if I indulge in retail therapy/cakes/chocolate.

Still no AF for me and feeling no different apart from really sore (.)(.). They're really painful when I try to hug DS/DH ... like burning pain that takes a while to subside. Could it be a sign? Know I shouldn't be symptom spotting but vnewmummy, do you have any symptoms to report?

Good luck to everyone else.

Harry2007 · 19/08/2010 12:21

Thanks for all the positive comments ladies Smile

Oh my gosh, I have my fingers tightly crossed for you vnewmummy. I have always been aware of how hard it is when things don't go your way babywise, but my latest chain of events has just emphasised how precious that initial BFP is (my super emotional pregnant state is in overdrive at the moment!) I really hope this works out for you xxxxxxxx

StormBird · 19/08/2010 12:40

OMG I knew it and just shed a tear for you vnewmummy - I'm so pleased you got your BFP. I have my FX crossed that this will be a smooth PG for you. Grin

WELL DONE!

vnewmummy · 19/08/2010 14:41

Lychees, Harry and Storm thanks so much for all your well wishes. xxx

Lychees the only symptoms I have are tender boobs and I have felt really tired in the last week. To be honest feels just like TOTM. FX for you too hon. xx

I have just been out to buy 2 more tests so i can do them again tomorrow morning. Just to make sure!

Boba how did you get on today? Have been thinking about you.

Harry2007 · 19/08/2010 15:04

Any news Boba?

Still smiling at your news vnewmummy (Harry still super emotional to the point of being ridiculous emoticon)

Starlet22 · 19/08/2010 16:57

On the run but Harry - great news re scan and vnewmummy - fantastic news re BFP!! It has made my day Grin X

rosieposey · 19/08/2010 18:01

Vnewmummy - i havent been on this thread very long but i know how long you have been trying and how it was all not going too well - am so pleased for you, thats fanstastic news Grin what a lovely surprise, congratulations!

Still no high on the cbfm but im not expecting one tbh - after the smiley opk i think it really did miss my surge (i have never tested positive in the morning on opks so im not sure how the cbfm works but maybe its the same for that) I am thinking that the next cycle when i set my M button i will set it at 3 in the afternoon and not drink much in the morning (try and hold every day for at least 4 hours) then test early afternoon and see what it throws up next month - im not sure if it really matters what time of day you test as long as you have fairly concentrate urine.

Storm - good luck with swi'ing tonight - lol i have done the same thing as well in the last couple of months, had a row with DH then told him he's not coming near me (when i really needed to swi as it was 'that time') and missed my crucial time - bloody men!

Lychees - lets hope that your sore boobs are a good sign, i only ever get them when i am pg so will keep everything crossed for you :)

Choccie - i have seen you on the charting thread too and you seem really fed up (understandably) i am so sorry its taking so long for you (and you too Keziahopes) its really frustrating - i am keenly aware that age is a factor and bricking it a bit as am 39 shortly and its not nearly so easy this time as it seemed to be just over two years ago, still i know i should feel very lucky and i do - i am really hoping some of that luck comes yours and Keziahope's way very soon - would love to hear that you got a bfp too.

Harry - thats fab news on the scan - its always a relief when you see the heartbeat, soon enough you will hear it too :)

Keziahhopes · 19/08/2010 19:09

Ooh - fantastic news vnewmummy - so happy for you!

That is two bfp's on here after what seemed like ages with none - hope someone else soon x

choccie sorry you've been having a shitty time and thanks for your advice. I always feel v emotional there too. Think it all just seems so real there doesn't it? Oh and I find that thing sore too!

Lychees when you POAS?

SOrry AF got you ljg Sad

Hi to anyone I've missed.

Well today was a total waste of time. Basically consultant wouldn't do HSG as on CD101 & had unprotected sex in last 3 weeks. Even though I phoned them on Tues to confirm all this as appt only came through on Fri. I was pretty pissed off.

However this consultant said he didn't see the point in this 10 week urine sample thing and has arranged for me to go for ultrasound on Wed am and is gonna try his hardest to get me rebooked for HSG within 2 weeks (before my hols) He said hopefully after good look at ovaries via scan and then HSG they can then get on with things & hopefully I won't have to wait until Jan for follow up.

All in all it's maybe been for the best as he seems a bit more proactive although he said he'd have to talk to initial cons. first as doen't want to go behind his back.

So had to go to Boots on way home and stock up on condoms Blush, haven't had to do that in a long time!

Felt v. v. emotional/upset after hospital & still teary now. Didn't help that I saw about 100 pregnant women in hospital & on way home.

Onwards & upwards though girls, I hope these BFPs are contagious, we bloody well deserve them! x x

P.S. sorry for the mammoth post Blush

OP posts:
Keziahhopes · 19/08/2010 23:36

boba - sorry it wasn't what you expected, but maybe in the days ahead you will be able to feel the positives you mentioned and he definitely sounds proactive!

The ultrasound I found didn't hurt at all and really helps them look at health of ovaries and womb etc, so it sounds a good place to start.

Hug for you x

vnewmummy · 20/08/2010 09:01

Boba sorry things did not go as plan yesterday. I agree with Keziah and at least this guy seems to know what you need. I have had lots of scans and they really dont hurt and very informative. big hugs.

Rosie why dont you test first thing in morning when your wee will always be stronger?

Thanks girls for all your warm wishes. I have taken another test this morning and still BFP. (smile)
