boba - sorry to hear the HSG didn't go as planned, you build yourself up and then you don't get the answer. Don't worry though, they can do it again.

harry hope the scan went well, fingers crossed.

lychees I think you should go and see a counsellor and have a good old rant, I always feel better after one but ranting about such matters is hard to friends.

I'm on a bit of a downer, I've started to spot tonight. I usually spot 3 days before period so this is a bit early, plus I thought my cycle would be longer this month as the earliest I could have ovulated (first peak) was CD16, and I suspect I actually ovulated after that. Anyway if I do go straight into AF then at least we can have another go at it all before our holiday (sharing room with son, so no chance of nookie then), though now worried that my luteal phase is too short or I have a progesterone problem (I do like to analyse everything)

row78 · 02/09/2010 22:20

oh and I'm just about starting to have some cramps.

Morning all.

Sorry about spotting/possible arrival of AF Row78.

I got my first peak this morning [early one again] so getting my Pre-seed out ready for a week long of BDing ... this is going to be tiring, keeping going until 5DPO!!

I find that during this journey, your emotions are really up and down. At the moment, I'm feeling okay. I'm having a shopping day with my sister on Sunday and determined to come back with something for myself for once. And the lovely weather here is really helping the general good mood.

Hugs to everyone feeling low at the moment.

good luck lychees, I don't think I could keep going 5 DPO! Have a wonderful day on saturday and spoil yourself and do lots of things you can't do once you have a newborn screaming at you (positive thinking) :-)

emmy, each mopnth I spot I try to convince myself it's implantation bleeding (including when I was trying for my son) so I have to face facts that it isn't. The one time I have been pregnant I never spotted.

Harry2007 · 03/09/2010 14:12

Scan was fantastic - going private is well worth the money! The screen was 50 inches!

And the good news is that all is well with the baby. Heart was fluttering away and the crown to rump length was 16.2mm compared to 8.8mm a week ago. I know it's still tiny but the growth rate is amazing!

I actually slept last night, the first time for ages. I've slept for the majority of the day so far too! Doctor has also signed me off work and dp has booked us a 5 star hotel in menorca for a week - flying next Friday. I'm soooooooooo looking forward to it.

Thank you so much for all the positive thoughts xxx

Brilliant news Harry, so so pleased for you Grin x x

Keziahhopes · 03/09/2010 15:19

What wonderful news Harry! Will you stay private throughout all your care now? That holiday and time off work sounds just what you need!

Lychees - hug for you too. Ok, so this month am going to not start BDing so early so we can do 5dpo (as have always given up by then!)... worth a try and dh abroad with work so can't bd until cd14 at earliest anyway, so good excuse Smile

ljg72 · 03/09/2010 16:10

Fantastic news HarrySmile

Lychees since I read your 5 day past ov advice...I'm going to give it a go! got to be worth a shot Grin, good luck to you 2!

Hello to everybody else! hoping to see lots of BFP very soon Wink

Lychees · 03/09/2010 16:14

That's great news Smile, Harry.

essenceofSES · 03/09/2010 16:33

Harry - fantastic news! The odds are so much more in your favour having seen the hb and great growth :)

row - have a hug. Hope it's your month next.

Lychees - enjoy your shopping :)

Boba - so sorry you've come up against a delay. I'm sure once your Dr is back you'll get some answers and progress.

vnewmummy - yay for early scan! Have they given you a date yet?

I'm out for this month. To cut a long story short, DH and I have both been feeling under pressure with all sorts going on in RL and so no GOF but some good progressive chats. We have agreed that we still want to ttc now but this just wasn't our month. It probably didn't matter though as although CBFM gave me some highs and a couple of peaks, my temps suggest that I tried to ovulate but didn't :(

Hello ljg, Starlet, Storm, Keziah, emmylou and anyone else lurking :)

Hope you all have great weekends - I intend to as it's my brother's wedding tomorrow :) At least with no chance of this month, I'll be able to enjoy a few drinks :)

vnewmummy · 03/09/2010 16:56

Harry thats great news. You must be so relieved. A holiday is a great idea. I agree with you - paying always seems to be worth it when it puts your mind at rest. I might explore staying private if NHS dont give me what I need.

essence sometimes it helps to have a break. The CBFM seems to give you peaks so maybe wait until next time.

I have an early scan booked for next wednesday morning.

Have a good weekend everyone else and enjoy the weather xx

vnewmummy · 04/09/2010 07:34

Harry sorry to ask and maybe not a great idea on this thread but did they give an explaination for the bleeding?

I am 6 weeks today and started to spot last night, still light but gone from brown to red. I am so worried I cant think straight....

Harry2007 · 04/09/2010 09:59

Hi vnewmummy

The doctor said that it's probably my cervix that's bleeding. There's so much additional blood in the cervix that things like sex, carrying shopping in from the car or vacuming can cause trauma and pressure and it bleeds as a result.

However, on speaking to my midwife on Thursday, she advised that any bleeding is a reason to phone your doctor who should refer you to the early preg unit or advise you to go to a&e. I'd definitely ring your gp to get some advice. Let me know how you are xxx

chocciechip · 04/09/2010 13:49

vnewmummy I'm not sure where you are, but in my area we don't need to go via our GP first (at least, I didn't). Phone your EPU direct and ask them to see you. If they refuse or fob you off saying 'wait 24 hours', then phone your GP and ask your GP to demand that they see you. Let us know how you get on. x

StormBird · 04/09/2010 14:50

I'M BACK

Hello everyone.

Harry so glad you are feeling much happier about the care you will be receiving now you are going private, sounds to me like you need to give your local NHS a piece of your mind. That is utterly disgusting the way they treated you. Good luck with the rest of your PG hunny.

Boba I'm so sorry you are feeling so low at the minute and I really do not know what to say to lift your spirit but we are here for you to chat to and sound off at whenever you need to. You are not inadequate as a woman hun your just having to take a different path than the one you expected to achieving your goals in life. I have every hope that you will get there and once your doc gets back I'm sure things will start to move on again.

Boba & Lychees I only had to organise my first counselling session and imediately felt like a weight had been lifted. I've not even been to my first one yet. If you can do it (especially for free) it can't do any harm surely! I organised mine fr free through the Employee Assistance Programme they have set up.

Well its is CD30 for me, still no sign of AF. I'm far to scared to test now. I haven;t done one since I convinced myself the other day it was an evap line. Now I'm in turmoil - are we ready? can we cope? what about money? living arrangements? everything is going round and round and round in my head. I'm not testing again for another few days I could just have worried myself so much I've mucked my cycle up........ Sad I really am scared.

To anyone I've missed and did not mention forgive me. I hope you are well.

Babydust to all xxx

Lychees · 04/09/2010 16:41

vnewmummy, I hope you have managed to seek soe medical advice for peace of mind. Lots of women experience bleeding during pregnancy but go on to have perfectly fine rest of their pregnancy. Thinking of you and sending best wishes.

Essence have a good time at your brother's wedding tomorrow and loads of luck for next month.

Storm, keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Welcome, EllieBear. I hope the CBFM helps you to work out your cycles and hope you get your BFP soon. If you would like us to add your stats, please post them and someone will update them. If not, you are quite welcome to dip and and out for advice/support. The more the merrier.

Boba, hope you are ok.

Hi, thanks for your well wishes.

Well I have rested allday and the bleeding is now back to brown spotting. I guess its a waiting game. I called the EPU and left message asking if I could have my early P scan on Monday rather than Wednesday. I am going to see what tomorrow brings and if things take a turn for the worse I have been told Ashtead can do EPS privately and will go via them. (I live in Surrey) The worse part is the fear that I am no longer pregnant and AF will just turn up. I have to go to bed to go to sleep as its the only way my mind stops going into overdrive. Sad

Boba how are you hon?

Storm I know you must be afraid but maybe do another test to put your mind at rest. FX xx

StormBird · 05/09/2010 09:55

vnewmummy fingers crossed for you that all goes well at the EPU. I live in Surrey too, I was at St Helier EPU with my last PG and they were absolutely fantastic - if you are there I am sure you will receive good care. Hope your ok hun.

AF got me this morning! My DP is gutted but has announced that this month he wants to try much harder for our BFP. I'm obviously upset it wasn;t a BFP but I think I'm over thinking things and worrying myself about stuff that we will just have to overcome when we eventually do get our BFP. Really need to try and calm down.

Hi and welcome Elliebear.
Sorry for AF Storm - but dh's response sounds positive.

My dh abroad with work right now, and he will come back right at the middle of my cycle, so I hope he is not too jet lagged Grin ... trying to keep on ttc naturally, even though it is hard with 24 cycles of nothing.!

vnewmummy - hope you get a reassuring scan soon. hug for you.

row78 · 05/09/2010 19:30

welcome ellie

keziah - how annoying, if you miss the timing for a month you become convinced that was THE month :)

vnew, harry hope the bleeding completely stops for you both soon, it must be such a worry

So yesterday I was bored, not POAS for a while since the CBFM hadn't asked, so what is a girl to do? I POAS, and there was a feint line, but there definately was one! I tried again today (but FMU) with a different brand, and again feint but it's definately there. If it wasn't for my CBFM I would have stopped trying just at my peak. Fingers crossed that it sticks. So it seems that the other day was implantation bleeding, I'll have to start believing in it! I'm going to try a digital test on Tuesday (the day I should test) just to confirm as my hubby won't believe it until he sees the actual words.

row78 · 05/09/2010 19:31

oh and storm, sorry the witch got you, fingers crossed for next month

vnewmummy · 06/09/2010 09:36

Hi Row OMG that sounds so promising. That is how mine started, a very faint blue line! I have everything crossed for you. No matter how faint it only shows up if your pregnant. :)

How is everyone else doing today? xx

vnewmummy, hope you're okay and that your scan on Weds comes around quickly.

I'm shattered. It's been a busy weekend and the bd'ing marathon continues. It's my first low after the high after the peaks today so we're opting for rest tonight and then bd'ing every other day for a little while. Poor DH ... at least its keeping him fit Smile.

Hope everyone else is keeping their chins up Wink.
