Hi everyone,

Storm - sorry AF got you. You sound a bit more upbeat than recently though which is good. When is your first counselling session?

Row78 - oh wow, that's so exciting!! Keep us posted - it's looking promising!

Lychees - good luck with the marathon. Ours is just kicking off as got a high yesterday and a peak today. Wish I was a bit better at doing my temps though as not convinced I actually ovulated last month due to a lack of temp shift....

Elliebear - welcome!

Vnewmummy - did you manage to get a scan today or are you going on Wednesday? Either way hope it goes well and keep us posted.

Keziah - stay positive!! And not long till your next appointment as well which is good.

Hi to everyone else - hope you all had a good weekend (Essence, did you have a good time at your brother's wedding??!).

StormBird · 06/09/2010 13:05

Hi Girls,

Congrats to Row woohoo!!

Lychees Good luck BDing - think we'll definately be doing a BD marathon too this month.

Welcome Elliebear

Starlet my first counselling session is on Tuesday, really hoping it helps.

Hope everyone is well.

XXX

Keziahhopes · 06/09/2010 21:33

row - that sounds encouraging, do update us when you can.

Storm hope that session is helpful for you. I get 3 free sessions if have enough egg reserve adn can have treatment, am thinking it will be good to take them up!

Lychees you are doing well. I am quite pleased dh away from the "rest" point of view, as long as he back in time, but only cd8 here, so he should be!

Headbanger · 07/09/2010 07:59

Good morning! Would you mind terribly if I gate-crashed to ask a question?

Having been TTC for 9 months now, I am on my second month of CBFM, which was given to my by a pal (who got pregnant first time using it, so we believe it to be magickal).

The first month of using it I had no 'high' readings and went directly to two days of 'peak'.

I then thought my period had started and pressed the 'm' button, but it was just spotting, so 2 days later I re-set it for when my period very definitely DID start.

I have now been getting 'high' readings every day since day 8 - it's now day 12, when I would normally be ovulating, and it's still on high.

My question is: does this mean I'm not ovulating? we are still shagging with intent, if you will pardon the phrase, when we can on those days, but I'm depressingly wondering whether it ain't worth it...

thanks everyone and good luck all round!

ljg72 · 07/09/2010 08:36

Hello Headbanger (love the name Smile), I think the first few cycles of using the monitor can be a bit hit and miss as it its trying to get to know your cycle?...I'm on month 4 and only had one "text book" cycle and that was this one! last month I had something like 15 highs, no peaks!!! DP was totally shagged out!!!.
I'm sure somebody with the knowledge will be along to answer your questions better than me!.
Just wanted to say hello, and stick with it!Grin (I think the amount of BD'ing we are all doing we are covering all bases!!, doesn't stop us stressing tho...) x

Lychees · 07/09/2010 10:19

Hi Headbanger. I have been using the CBFM for my past six cycles. I normally have 32 - 34 days cycles and don't peak until CD18/19. But I have had two months when I went straight from low to peak and a month when I peaked on CD12 and a couple when I've peaked CD15 but my cycle has been between 32 and 34 days for a while.

So my feeling is that you can never really second guess your ov day even though your cycle length is about the same each month.

Also, if you have a very short LH surge, some ladies have not got a peak on the CBFM even though ovulation has happened.

Saying that, I hope you get your peak soon.

See you all in our new home.

Thanks so much for the advice and reassurance everyone. Lord, do our bodies have to be so complicated?! I guess all I can do is wearily shag away whenever there's anything but one bar. Oh the joys! I will keep an eye out and see if I get a peak, but rather later. My cycles can veer between 22 and 28, so it might just be that this is a longer cycle.

Thanks all! Tons of luck all round!

Hello Everyone,

Thought I'd post the stats today. I'm sick of this period already I can't wait til it goes away......

Welcome Headbanger I had lots of highs my first month of using the CBFM - seem to always get my peak around CD14/15 but last month did an OPK on CD12 and there were 2 solid blue lines. So I agree with Lychees its not an exact science I'm afraid. Good Luck with it all.

ljg how are you doing? any news?

Theres a few people on this thread nearing what would be the end of their cycle unless they are up duff - any news girlies?????

Smile
emmylou30 · 07/09/2010 15:34

headbanger had to giggle at 'wearily shag away'!!

Lychees · 07/09/2010 15:40

Come and post on our new thread ... Volume 4.

Headbanger · 07/09/2010 16:07

Tell you what lou, it's a bind so it is. And my poor OM - arrived home from working after working a 12 hour night shift to find deranged wife, hair and make-up ready for a day at the office, stark naked demanding her wifely rights! Man deserves a medal...

Thanks for the welcome Stormy! I would love to hang out here now and then if that is OK? I have another MN home but have been reading your stories with interest and it would be so nice to have someone else to freak out at ask about the baby-computer!

I am TTC #1, Cycle #9, CBFM cycle #2, Aged 30.

However I don't want to gatecrash so you can tell me to shove it: I won't mind at all!

Lychees · 09/09/2010 12:06

Headbanger, I have added your stats. Come on over to our new home.
