Hi Row78, of course you are welcome to join. If you would like us to track your stats, let us know what they or so someone can add them. Otherwise, you are quite welcome to dip in and out whenever you like.

Thanks for the thought, Starlet. I have been quite depressed of late ... crying on the tube, on the bus, in the toilets at work ... anywhere really. And you know what? I'm not even much of a crier normally!

I wallowed a bit but feel much better again now. I guess it happens to all of us; sometimes you feel really down about the whole ttc thing, sometimes really hopeful.

Hope you manage to have some fun this weekend.

Rosie, don't worry about having a bit of a vent. We all need to sometimes. It's frustrating to not know what's going on with your hormones. I get a peak every month and have had low progesterone on two 21 day blood tests so I have no idea if I even actually ovulate. So I guess the presence of a peak might not mean much. Also, there's been ladies on here who got their BFP's in a month when they never had a peak.

Btw, how are you doing Boba? Long time no speak.

essenceofSES · 10/08/2010 21:37

Hello all!

I had a long day with a training course in Leicester today. Over 4hrs on the road this morning and then 3hrs coming home. DH had managed to get DS to bed and cooked tea though :)

row - welcome! Is your name row as in row a boat or row as in I had a row with DH?! Sorry for asking but I wanted to know how to pronounce it in my head as I typed Grin

Rosie - how v v frustrating for you. I hope things settle down for you.

Starlet - good to hear from you. Hope you get your cinema trip!

Viv - I agree that if it still seems a problem, give the helpline a ring. Feel free to keep posting on this thread too if you want to!

PinkCustard - hope all goes well with GP

Missyraines - have fun looking after your nephew!

Lychees - I'm on 2ww too. AF due in about 4 days. When shall I test??! I managed to convince myself this morning I was pg as I woke up at 4am needing a wee but I think it was just a one off...

Jenni - have you tested yet?!

Jenni4 · 10/08/2010 22:07

Hey Ses!! I would like to be able to hold my head up high and say no, but I am hanging my head in shame as I tested yesterday...yes, yesterday. Not at all surprised at my bfn!! So, now that I have that out of my system I am trying to be a big brave girl and wait. I'm not really "feeling it" so the wait is getting easier. Af is due Sunday...maybe I can wait her out!!

Thanks for thinking of me!!

row78 · 11/08/2010 07:48

lychees - yes please can I join in with the monitoring, stats are:

TTC#2, Cycle 3, CBFM cycle 1, age 32, UCL ?, CD3

What does UCL stand for?

essence - arguing sounds a bit stressful as a username! :) It's like row row row your boat. I know what you mean about mind pronouncation :)

row78 · 11/08/2010 08:55

I think I've figured it out, UCL = usual cycle length?

if so updated stats:

TTC#2, Cycle 3, CBFM cycle 1, age 32, UCL 29, CD3

ljg72 · 11/08/2010 15:48

Hello!
Thanks Starlet and Essence, I have carried on testing just in caseHmm...temps show "OV" though, so will wait and see.

Good luck to all that are due to test! heres to lots of BFP for allGrin.

Trying not to symptom spot! ...when AF arrived last time I promised myself I wouldn't torture myself doing it! how hard is it not to though?Confused.

essenceofSES · 11/08/2010 16:59

Well I succumbed and tested this morning - BFN. No hint of a line :(
I've been in a foul mood all day too so I think that's me out this month. Just waiting the inevitable AF :(

ljg - it's impossible not to symptom spot! A bit like that Fruit pastille advert - "gotta chew, gotta chew"; we're "gotta symptom spot, gotta symptom spot"
As much as you try not to, you can't help it!

row - thanks! Glad you understand about the pronounciation in your head thing!

Hello everyone and to all the newbies. How are you all doing?

Hi Lychees . Not been on in a few days as been really busy @ work. Like you I've been really down recently, am soooo fed up of the TTC battle. Seems everywhere I look there are pregnant women or babies. I find I'm bursting into tears all the time. I swear I'll lose the head @ the next person who asks when we're going to have a baby! Are you feeling better yet? Work any better yet? Hope you took that sickie?! x

Hello also to starlet, essence, choccie, keziah and vnewmummy x x

Afternoon everyone. So I was pretty sure I had implantation at the start of last week, it wasn't to be and my period came 4 days early. I'm surprisingly chipper about the whole thing however this has really messed everything up! Normally my AF is only 2 days long, I'm into Day 4 right now. On the bright side, my wee sticks have turned up today, plus a stash of preggers tests (18p each from Amazon!), so I'm good to go.

A slight downer on the whole process is that DH is disapearing off to Canada on Saturday and won't be back until the following Thursday. I'm pretty sure that I'll be ovulating at that point but I've got a feeling that the poor dear is going to struggle to "rise to the occasion" with a combination of jet lag and stage fright. Yes he's already expressed anxiety about having to perform with the CBFM looming over his head! Men.Hmm

I hope everyone else is ok?

Jenni4 · 11/08/2010 20:43

Ses sorry about your bfn, I got one too...maybe we just need to wait a few more days?? Fx'd!!

Boba, just realised you missed Row78's name off the stats so updated them. Perhaps, just as you are waiting for your telegram, auntie flo visits instead. Sorry, you've been down too, hun. It is really hard. You have your ups and downs on this journey. I'm on my way back up again at the moment [there was only one way to go really as I felt like I had hit rock bottom for a while]. Hope you get your PMA back soon.

Sorry about the BFN, Jenni and SES. It could still be too early.

Tango hope you get your peaks just at the right time.

Hi everyone else .... hope you're all okay.

Beattiebow · 12/08/2010 12:51

hello everyone, can I ask a question?

I have been using CBFM this month. It showed a peak on Tuesday and Weds and a high today. But i felt very horny and had alot of EWCM on Monday. Temp rise on Thursday.

So am wondering if the CBFM can show a delayed ovulation so I ovulated on Monday or whether I ovd on the first or second peak day? What do you think?

(of course it's useless obessessing as I can't do anything more about this now except wait...)

StormBird · 12/08/2010 14:06

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to all the newbies, hope the this CBFM lark is successful for you all.

Sorry about the BFN Ses * Jenni - hope you are both ok.

TangoTime Hope you and DH can get to it and he doesn't feel under too much pressure. I learnt earlier on (and I'm sure some of the girls will back me up) that sometimes its better not to mention what the monitor is saying to you man. However, he then started to get curious and ask me whether I got a high or a peak that day to see if he was in for a bit of nookie or not LOL!!!

Lychees & Boba I do hope you can lift your spirits soon. I know its been a hard slog. But keep at it. I am rooting for you xxx

Starlet Hope you are ok my dear. I got your email by the way and have emailed you back. Thank you again.

Rosie we are all hear for you to sound off to. At the end of the day we all need that support and that is what this thread is good for. Vent til your hearts content! hope your ok hun.

Pink good luck at the docs hun.

Missyraines Enjoy your week off and enjoy looking after yuor Nephew. I'm sure it will be fun. (If not a little Tiring)

To anyone else I've missed HELLOOO and I hope your well!!

Well It was my Birthday yesterday so I shall update the stats at the end of this post. Had a lovely yet quiet Birthday. Got some lovely cards from friends and family near and far and DH managed to scrape enough together to buy me a doughnut! Bless him!!!

TMI ALERT: A funny thing is going on with my cycle this month. Like clockwork came on on friday (day 28) at 10am, as per usual. Whats not usual is that AF has been very very very light. Had one medium to heavy bleed on the Saturday morning but thats it. Then was unbelievalby light the rest of the weekend (you really had to look hard to even notice it sometime. AF seemed to disappear on sunday and then today I have quite darky brown discharge on my pad! Again this is still very light though. My AF normally last a good 7 days with maybe the 4th or 5th day where I have very little if not no bleeding at all. As i have said before I am very regular and I def no this is not normal. I feel very bloated. Any suggestion abuot whats going on???

Thanks everyone xx

Hi ladies,

Sorry I've not been on for a while but been away for a few days. Just wanted to say hi and send some hugs to those of you who have been feeling down recently.

Grin at Boba's telegram idea. If you don't get one, I think you should write and ask for one, but I will pay to see the letter you write!!!!! Grin

well I had a scan yesterday- I was 5 weeks exactly. I'm pleased to report that this baby is in the right place. It was so reassuring because I've been having pains for the last week and couldn't help but think it was another ectopic. I'll be having scans every week from now on just to make sure x

StormBird · 12/08/2010 19:07

Good luck Harry. I'm so pleased everything is ok.
Sendin big hugs

xxxx

essenceofSES · 12/08/2010 21:48

Harry - great to read your update :)

Storm - happy birthday for yesterday!
Not sure what is going on with your cycle - any other symptoms?

Beattiebow - hello! Is this your first cycle using CBFM? I'm not sure whether it will detect it late. Sorry , I'm not much help!

Hello Lychees, Boba, Jenni and anyone else lurking.

I've been feeling vaguely nauseous all day so did another test - still BFN :( Still no AF either though...

MummyAbroad · 13/08/2010 01:50

Hello,

Sorry to but in, I have a question for you all.

I am considering buying clearblue, just looked it up on amazon looks great. BUT, I live in Costa Rica and we have frequent power cuts. Does this thing need to be plugged in all the time/use batteries? Does it store valuable information, what would happen if it gets cut off.

Thanks to anyone who can answer

ljg72 · 13/08/2010 08:59

Hello Mummy it's powered by batteries so would be fine!It records all info of your cycle... have a look on Ebay to! I got one half price (used) but just re set it and it seems fine. Good luck Smile and welcome! X

Pink How did you get on at GPs?

OP posts:
Starlet22 · 13/08/2010 14:22

Hello everyone,

So lovely to see the list getting longer (and hello to all the newbies).....but I also want to see more graduates!!

Harry - it's so lovely to hear that things are going well for you.

Storm - happy belated birthday!! No idea what's up with your cycle I'm afraid... Also, I sent you back an email.

Beattie - in the bible that is TCOYF, I think it says you ovulate just before your temperature surge i.e. Weds for you (your second peak).

Fingers croosed for essence and Jenni that no AF yet = BFP this cycle.

Hi to Boba and Lychees - know what you mean about feeling low about all this. Feel free to share thoughts/anxieties etc here.

Keziah, Choccie - how are you both? Keziah, did you have a good holiday and manage to relax at all? Hope so.

Pink - let us know how you get on today at the GP.

Hope everyone else is well?

I've had a shocker of a week at work and been working very long hours but nearly the weekend!! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

MummyAbroad · 13/08/2010 14:37

Thanks ljg72!

essenceofSES · 13/08/2010 15:16

Hello! I'm just home from work but still got tomorrow morning to do before I finish properly for the week.

Starlet - sorry you've had a tough week at work. Hope you can relax and do something nice over the weekend to make up for it.

MummyAbroad - welcome!

Well I had another BFN this morning. I've decided that I've probably picked up a mild version of the sickness bug doing the rounds at DS's nursery and that's what's caused the nausea and delayed AF. I used a First Response test this morning and they are usually sensitive enough to pick up a BFP a few days before a missed period so I'm sure I'm not pg :(

PinkCustard · 13/08/2010 16:45

Hi everyone,

Sorry about your BFN essence

Docs went ok thanks for asking - she was very nice and took me seriously (had half expected to be sent away and told to keep trying for a few more months). She's sending me for a blood test next week to check hormone levels and said DH needs to go and get a semen sample checked Hmm I think he'll need some persuading on that one! Feel a bit strange about it all as it's sort of like admitting there might be a problem. But I suppose if something is wrong it's better to find out sooner rather than later.

I've been reading a good book called 'The Baby Making Bible' which helps you identify your body type according to Chinese medicine then tells you which foods to avoid and which ones could help. It's got me very interested in having a few sessions of acupuncture but I've no idea what sort of cost this might entail. Has anyone tried it? Is it any good and is it very expensive?

Got my first High on the monitor today so here we go again...! Grin
