Morning all

God Keziah what a COW!!! No-one ignoring us or sending inappropriate books just the never ending 'pity' looks from everyone

Good news on your weight loss though hun

Welcome chocciechip

Glad you enjoyed your acupuncture baby I'm the opposite, hands fine, feet much soreness!

Any sign of AF yet Lychees? Don't think I'll be far behind you

Gonna sound sooo soppy now but I'm really, really glad I have you guys for support. I have really good friends in RL but no-one in similar situation to me. It's just a relief to be able to share experiences and to off load to lovely ladies who understand. Big hugs and kisses to you all x x

Back to CD1 for me, too. Sorry, AF got you too, Chocciechip.

I always feel really down when AF first arrives then things look different in the morning after a sleep. Feeling optimistic that it will be my turn soon.

Would love to have more BFPs on here though as it gives me hope so good luck to everyone.

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 23/06/2010 15:46

Hi Everyone

Its TTCbabyNo1 - I've added in my RL nickname so you can refer to me as Storm from now on. I cant get used to the TTCbaby name I gave myself plus its not really a name is it, seeing as we are all TTCing!!!!!

Anyhoo.....

Sorry bout the AF Lychees & chocciechip - time to start all over again. Its good that your feeling optimistic though Lychees. Keep up with the PMA.

Keziah - your a better woman than me.... I'd have made my MIL eat that book!!

Boba i have to second your comment regarding how supportive you find everyone on here. I too, have some really good friends in RL, but its totally different being able to offload all your thoughts on here. People can symathise with you until they are blue in the face but empathy is hard to come by and in my experience I generally feel like people get fed up listening to me in RL. I've only been on here a few days but I already feel like a weight has been lifted knowing I can talk to you guys and get advice from you. For that I thank you all.

Has anyone got a sick Bucket?? LOL! (JOKE)

I've got a good feeling someone will get a BFP soon.

FlyingCat · 23/06/2010 18:35

Helloo all

about time I sent a positive post - looking back it seems I've only posted on here when a bit miserable. Ho hum, not so today. Onto better and brighter times!

Keziah you are clearly stronger than I am. I would have been so cross with MIL (Despite probably well meant)

If you (like me) are working on weight for fertility treatment criteria I can thoroughly recommend the boot camp I went on back in April - I've just rebooked for another go in August before I see consultant again.

Had first fertility appointment today and very impressed with consultant who was nice and explained everything to us in words of one syllable necessary given I've been so nervous I can't think straight!

DH has a simple semen analysis test again, mine is rather more in depth it seems (seems truly unfair that I get all the work!) I'm booked in for pelvic ultrasound, Hysterosalpingogram and more bloods - turns out GP didn't do mine on the right day in first tests so might be ovulating OK all along. All that and then back to see him (same doctor again!!!) in 10 weeks.

Well it's left me all hopeful and bouncy about this finally happening for us. Something about a nice sunny day off work and England finally winning a world cup match has left me optimistic I think!

A final word though, consultant mentioned as we were chatting that an old fashioned treatment for men suspected of poor fertility was to give them a sick note from work for a week or two and send them home for SWIing accompanied by long lie ins sounds like a plan to me when DH complains he just hasn't got the energy for the millionth time!

BabyHoping · 24/06/2010 08:33

Flyingcat that old fashioned treatment seems quite nice! I would love a few weeks off right now as I´m completely exhausted... But I will have vacations in August so less that 6 weeks to go!

A colleague announced her pregnancy today. It's like having my first day of AF all over again. I've forgotten my mobile so I can't call DH and he doesn't really know how I'm feeling anyway. Only you lovely ladies know. I'm trying not to let it get me down but it's hard.

FlyingCat, glad your appointment went well and the consultant was nice and you have some new found optimism.

boba82 · 24/06/2010 15:10

That sounds really positive Flyingcat, good to hear about a good NHS experience too. Making me excited to see a consultant now!!

Where are you off to Baby?

I really feel for you Lychees and isn't it? DH actually admitted to me that he's wary to tell me of people's pregnancies now as I get so upset. My BF in RL is trying for her second & I'm actually dreading she falls pregnant before me (which lets face it is likely) as I don't know if I'll handle it. Organise after work drinks and revel in your wine!!

giraffemummy · 24/06/2010 17:41

Hello ladies,

Frequent lurker but newbie at posting.

Anyone have any ideas what is going on?

We have been TTC no.2 for 6 cycles now. Always v. regular cycles lasting between 25-26 days with consistent 14 day LP.
Use CBFM last 4 months and always get high, peak, peak then high on days 10-13 without fail.

Last month had bad cramps at 9dpo, like period coming a week early and exhausted. AF still then came at normal time. Thought nothing of it as have had hopes high before.

Then this month day 13 and still lows on CBFM. Temping and temp still not risen. Normally rises on Day 13/14.

Any ideas what is causing this??

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 24/06/2010 19:59

Hello Girls,

Its good to see a bit of positivity flying about. I hope it stays that way for a wee while.

Welcome Giraffemummy I hope you find posting on here helpful. Unfortunately I can't answer your questions as I am v. new to all this CBFM lark but I'm sure one of the girls will be able to help you out in some way.

Flyingcat - forgive me for being such a dumb blonde but what is a Hysterosalpingogram . When I say it I sound like I've had a skin full LOL. I'm so glad your feeling positive and that it all went well with the consultant. Fingers crossed you get that Sick Note for the SWIing. Sounds like a wicked idea.

I'm so jealous baby & vnewmummy that your off on your jolly's. Mine have been and gone. Went far too quickly if you ask me so enjoy every minute and let your hair down.

Hi Lychees - its a SHITE feeling isn't it! BIG HUG babe. I hope your ok. When I came out of hospital I couldn't look at another Pregnant woman, it used to make me feel sick to my stomach that they could have what I had taken away from me! I haven't had a colleague announce a PG yet but I'm dreading it cos I know it will happen at some point. But i did go through a very trying time emotionally when the day after I came out of hospital I was back there, on the Maternity Ward visiting my new Nephew and SIL. But I had to make myself do it cos I knew I had to get over it. You'll be ok honey!

X

Keziahhopes · 24/06/2010 22:20

You all made me smile about the book and MIL tale - thanks for that! I think Flyingcat you are right, well meant - but not understanding. We not told anyone other than one friend and parents - parents knew we wanted kids, so it saved them asking!

Enjoy hols baby and vnewmummy ...

Hugs for those struggling x

Starlet22 · 25/06/2010 00:11

Hi everyone,

I've been a bit busy with work so haven't had time to write, but hope everyone is okay.

Keziah I agree with Flyingcat - your MIL probably thinks that with a bit of help you will be PG in no time (although, she obviously has a thing or two to learn about tact!). So here's to you getting a BFP soon!

Welcome Giraffemummy. I'm no expert on symptoms or charting but I do think cycles change slightly from month to month. This month I went from low to peak on CBFM (yay for peak!) but no high in between which was a first. Hopefully someone else can be a bit more helpful than me re your situation.

Lychees and Chocciechip, sorry to hear about AF.

Flyingcat can I ask on what day your GP originally did your bloods? I had my first bloods taken the other week - they said that the first lot had to be between day 2 - 4 of the cycle; with the second set of bloods taken 7 days prior to the end of my cycle. Not what I had heard before, but I saw it on his screen (the tests the fertility clinic require to be carried out before they take referrals).

We've not yet told anyone in RL that we are TTC so thanks to you all for being here. My sister-in-law is PG (20 weeks) and it's very difficult as I am so happy for them; yet very disppointed for us. I'm glad they don't know we are TTC though because otherwise they would feel bad, and I wouldn't want that.

Better go, have a great weekend everyone!

Well this morning I have found myself in same boat as Lychees, colleague announced they are expecting no 2, another accident ha ha!!! I said congratulations when what I wanted to yell was FUK OFF why is life so fu$ing unfair!!!! Now feeling guilty for being such an envious old witch

OP posts:
chocciechip · 25/06/2010 13:06

Welcome giraffe. I have a CBFM and I chart. The great thing about the CBFM and charting is it correlates everything really nicely - so I think I can help with your question. Like you, I usally ovulate regularly around CD14 or 15. A couple of months ago, however, I ovulated at CD18. The monitor did eventually peak and the chart confirmed ovulation at exactly the time the monitor peaked. But I became very stressed in the run up to CD18 not knowing and waiting for it which probably delayed things even more!

The hardest part is not knowing when to SWI, so I suggest you BD from NOW every second day (or every day depending on your DH's sperm count) until you get your CBFM peak and a day after that too. If this is an annovulatory cycle for you, you probably won't get a peak and may only see highs (which has happened to some ladies on this thread). That won't mean you didn't ovulate - just that the CBFM missed the LH surge window. But your chart should confirm whether its annovulatory or ovulatory for you for sure. If you're using Fertility Friend to chart, feel free to post your chart on the charters anonymous thread for us all to pour over and examine for you (you can do so anonymously).

As for the pains you had last month - I'm afraid I had that too at 8DPO. I think it's only meaningful if it results in a BFP at the end, otherwise it may just have been wind or something . Let's face it, when your TTC and you're in the 2ww, any twinges seem fraught with possiblity. Hope that helps.

Boba and lychees I know what you both mean. What's weird though is I feel a lot less about people announcing their BFPs here on MN than I do about people I know around me. I get so down about it that I live in virtual isolation now, and have even cut myself off from Facebook, because I cannot stand the pain of other people's scan pictures etc.

starlet I had bloods done yesterday on instruction from fertility clinic. I was told to do them within first five days of my cycle and yesterday was CD2. I seriously hope this is OK because I've seen the FSH test being usually done on CD3. I will be so annoyed if I have to re-do them in another month.

flyingcat Good to hear you had a positive appointment,. Totally know what you mean about it seeming unfair that you have the battery of tests. I remeber feeling seriously infuriated with the world that I had to endure my MCs and couldn't give at least half of it to DH. Mind you, I think he is broken up that he can't take some of it off me.

Have fun on your holiday vnewmummy. I wish I was going somewhere too.

giraffemummy · 25/06/2010 14:16

Thankyou very much for your helpful reply chocciechip. Still low on monitor today but just trying to relax and hope it chnages soon. Been SWI every other day since day 8 anyway just in case.

Babydust to all

StormTTCbabyNo1 · 25/06/2010 16:16

Hello All,

Had 4 days of highs and no Peak yet. I have kept in mind however what Missyraines said to me a few days ago about it being my first cycle on the CBFM so I may not get a Peak this time round. However, experiencing some rather strange dull aches - some are quite uncomfortable and I have no idea what they are!! Anyway probably just me concentrating on my nether regions too much

Well I hope you are all keeping well. And apparently its going to be a hot one this weekend so I suggest getting lots of sun and raising those seratonin levels.

XX

Lychees · 25/06/2010 17:39

Afternoon Everybody,

Roll on the weekend! I have another half an hour at work then I'm calling it a day.

I felt exactly the same way as you Boba. It's really hit me hard for some reason and I have been wallowing in self pity a bit but I figured that it was self-indulgent and only made me feel worse so today, I'm on the up again.

Welcome Giraffe.

Hope you all have good weekends.

boba82 · 25/06/2010 18:45

Sounds like ov pains to me storm.

Yes you're right lychees, I am drowning my sorrows cheering myself up with a box of wine!

Have a great weekend everyone, let's enjoy the summer while it's here!! x x

OP posts:
vnewmummy · 25/06/2010 21:21

Boba, I have a glass of wine in my hand so here's to us!

Thanks girls cant wait to go away, I have put on weight in last few months since I started taking clomid so the bikini will not be a pretty sight!

I think when we see a BFP on MN we are really pleased as we know that we are all going through the same thing.

Its when someone else tells us they are pregnant that it hurts. My mate who told my 3 weeks ago has avoided me big time. She had been trying and although I had told her we were TTC she didnt let me know. I guess we just have to wait our turn.

I feel like I am going to get AF early this month.

Enjoy your weekend, see you in 2 weeks and i want to here about a BFP!

xxx

ps sorry about spelling - its the wine!

Have taken the plunge and added myself onto the stats list if that's OK.

vnewmummy i know what you mean....whilst hearing about pregnancies in RL should make me more positive i.e. pregnancy is achievable and all these people seem to be able to manage it - however it just hits you like a ton of bricks. It's so much harder when it's a close friend/colleague. Happened to me last month.
I don't think it's unkind, cos you want them to have a happy and healthy pregnancy......you just want the same thing for yourself soooooo badly.

Anyway, good news is that my body has not deserted me!! Got a high on CBFM today. Hoping to get a peak tomorrow as DH has SA on Thursday pm and have to abstain for 3-5 days prior.
