Hi lovely ladies. Hope everyone is having a good weekend
lbm Good luck with the handstands tomorrow Another c-section advice (though hopefully babybelle moves and you dont need the advice!) that a midwife told me is to always try to keep the scar dry, as if it becomes moist, the stitches could open up. So to try to lie on the bed with that area exposed (like I had time to do that at my mums after I gave birth! ) But a good tip was after having a bath or shower, to use a hairdryer to dry the scar area. My mum also made me sit in a bath of salt water every day. Not sure if that is a Indian thing to do or not! Just before my emergency c-section, I asked if they would give me a tummy tuck at the same time, they all laughed at me thinking I was joking!
monkey Will be thinking of you next week when you go back to work. Here's my hand to hold. at your friend for not doing as you asked
mls Absolutely loving your recent pic Did you manage to get hold of more mangoes???
vjay at having to take Ajay to A&E. Hope he's feeling better. at your story at the coffee shop.
cupcake eek, 4 days to go till your EDD! Hows wriggler been today? If you still havent bought any blackout blind, I would recommend the ones that the Gro company do. We bought it for our room and it does the business
neeko Hows the marking going?
4ever I feel very as I dont think I posted in acknowledgement of you getting a date to be induded - so sorry. I was meaning to text you too, but keep on forgetting But maybe this time next week you might be holding your precious lo What a journey you've had! Hope the induction works for you (as it didnt for me ) and you dont have to have an EMCS like me. I have to say though, having an epidural felt so good after all the labour pains. My mum said I wouldnt stop talking once I had it, even though I'd been awake with contractions since the morning the day before! The worst part of the epidural is when they put the needle in. When they tried the first time, they couldnt get the needle in, but a few hours later, a different anaethatist (sp?) tried a different technique, with me lying down on my side instead of sitting with my shoulders slumped, and it worked straight away. Sorry if I'm providing tmi Writing this is bringing back all the drama of my long labour!
blue You're right to feel proud for breastfeeding for 20 weeks, well done When are you going to start weaning Ben?
buddha I also have many, many more nappies to change and they're so smelly as well! Hope your return to work goes well. I'll be coming to you to ask for survival tips. I found out yesterday that my request to use my leave to have a day off each week from October to March has been approved which is fantastic news. I now wont be going back to work until the first week of October But I may not have a job to go back to as they're doing a major restructure at work, of which we'll find out the outcome in the next few weeks.

Thanks again to everyone for your kind words after my rant last weekend. I definately do need to lose weight though. I put on a dress size after my mmc and then another dress size after giving birth. I'm still doing buggyfit once a week but havent managed to go back to pilates it takes place an hour after our mother and baby yoga class and S goes straight to sleep after that class and the creche wont take her unless she's been fed and had a nappy change. So this week I'm hoping to leave her wih my sister instead. Will see how it goes. I'm also doing a DVD from Erin O'Brien called postnatal rescue that a friend recommended. It has 3 progressions/stages and each progression is just 15 minutes each. The workout consists of a series of stretches and workouts. But I've been naughty and not doing it every day
S has done so many things for the first time this week (which I always note in my phone so I can add it to her book - when I get a chance!) She claps when you say clap to her, she's learnt to semi-wave, and on the bed, she crawled forward instead of just shuffling like she normally does She's also started doing the downward dog yoga move and yesterday she grabbed onto her play gym and tried to stand up! OK, I think I should stop now She's due a 8 month development review on Monday (even though she wont be 8 months until the end of the month). Has anyone else taken their lo's for one of these checks. What do they do?
Did anyone else watch junior apprentice? I got so excited watching it as the college they showed in the beginning is literally round the corner from my parents house, my brother studies there now and the market where the boys team were selling the cheese is round the corner from my workplace, I go to the market once a week to get my lunch! As you can see, I'm easily pleased
Glad everyone likes my new name. mermaid you're so good at pointing things out to me. I didnt realise about the three S's
Right, this has taken well over an hour. Night all
