Hello ladies, after a mammoth 47 day cycle hoping for a December baby, today is once again CD1 for me.

If all goes to plan this month my EDD would be Jan 30th so I thought I'd start the February bus as a positive step forward.

Am fully expecting to be on my own for a while but do come and sit beside me for the journey if you feel the need......

Decaf that sounds really postive - i really hope its an implantation bleed

Not looking good on the ov front here - day 15 and nothing, last two months i got ov on day 15. The weird thing is i started testing on day 12 and the very first test i did in the afternoon was really quite strong (almost as strong as the other line) but then i did another and it was much fainter and the last two days there has been no line at all. This morning the line was back again so i dont know if that means that i am coming up towards lh surge and ov again or i missed the surge on day 12 but given my cycle i dont really see how i could ov on day 12? I would be fed up if i didnt ov this month as it'll be my last month of being able to have a baby in my 38 year

decafgirl · 11/05/2010 14:19

Hi ladies, no more sign of any blood so definately not AF. Asked a friend this morning and she said she had an implantation bleed with both her pregnancies & went on to describe more or less exactly what I had yesterday....am trying not to get too excited... am off to google what else it could be! x

Hello Boba, sorry to hear of nightmare cycle. Glad that AF finally turned up - at least it means you can get on with the next attempt.

Decafgirl, keeping everything crossed for you (except legs - sorry, that was tasteless but I couldn't resist ). Really hope this is a lucky month.

rosieposey, I'm pushing 39 so hoping I manage to have our final baby before I'm 40. Trying to ignore all the stats about plummeting fertility. Don't know what to make of your ov results - could you just have ov'd really early this month?

Hope everyone's doing well. Am I the only one who uses the stats as an easy way of keeping up to date with where I am in my cycle? It's a very helpful reminder of when to start SWIing .

MercyMe · 11/05/2010 20:58

Hey hope you're all well! Well start of the 2ww, I will try my hardest to stay away from tests in Tesco but it's going to be hard!!

Decafgirl, I had an implantation bleed with DD1 which was exactly as you described, good luck!!

Rockbird · 11/05/2010 21:01

2ww for me too. 1 day in and I'm bored with it. I have no patience!

Are you practising those little cartwheels decafgirl?

Hi decafgirl what a difficult one! I would probably have good intentions of waiting but then cave in and POAS... I have my fingers crossed for you though that this is your month...

I think I may have ovulated this month, as temp went up yesterday and has stayed up. Only problem is I may have missed out this month cos have been at a conference in Harrogate since Sunday so no SWI at exactly the right time

At least if I've ovulated though the Metformin is doing it's thing, so it's all good, especially as I've gone down a dress size since starting it ...

milanomum · 11/05/2010 22:06

All very promising decafgirl

DEBKA I am not using ov sticks or temping... so just trying to SWI every couple of days as of...well, yesterday actually ;)..and will try to keep it up over the next week or so. according to the ov calc I should be fertile from the 13th till the 18th-ish so thought I might as well get started!

8rubberduckies · 11/05/2010 22:06

Oops sorry I flipped the thread and thought your post from Monday was the last one decafgirl, so my difficult comment probably didn't make any sense

rosieposey · 11/05/2010 22:33

Prinpo I had been using internet cheapies and got a slightly stronger line this morning after absolutely nothing last night although still not a strong enough line to be a positive. However my Clearblue digi's arrived in the post at lunchtime and i dont really trust those internet cheapies so did a clearblue digi and got a on it.

I did another one 4 hours later just to be sure and it was O so i think perhaps the clearblue digi just caught the end of my surge (maybe it started last night) as i havent gotten anymore positives now (tested a couple more times this evening. It would be about right in my cycle and im hoping that those digi's dont get it wrong - fingers crossed as have been SWI'ing the last couple of days and will continue to do some for the next couple. Its all a bit baffling though, ive either got quite a short LH surge or the two digi's i did from the same sample gave a false negative - hope not and i suppose i will see two weeks from now...

Orchid12 · 12/05/2010 08:52

8 - good news re the OV, but boo to being away at the right time!

Rosie and Milano good luck

I'm still bored waiting for things to happen here. Will prob start SWI next Wed so a whole week to wait yet - pants!!! I flit between feeling upbeat and positive about this month, to down in the dumps that I might have to face another BFN and wait longer still. I'm so impatient and frustrated by TTC. I wish I could focus on something else, but I find it sooooo difficult. Ah well, second yoga class tonight should help focus the mind elsewhere.

Thanks Prinpo , I recognise a lot of names from December bus on here, hopefully this one will be luckier!

Good luck to all those SWI!!

decafgirl · 12/05/2010 12:21

Grr! Really don't have any other signs or symptoms, no more blood but temp is lower again this morning (lower than the cover line) don't know if this is a good sign or not. Haven't seen anything to say an implantation dip can last for 3 days...

I suppose if I wasn't charting I wouldn't know so maybe I can hang on...

I kept a diary during ttc #1 so I looked back at when I started recording symptoms then & I wasn't really noticing anything till about 14dpo so will check in again on Sunday...

rosieposey · 12/05/2010 14:14

decaf if your embryo is only just implanting then it takes a few days for the body to produce enough hcg (which only gets produced AFTER implantation) hence why you probably wouldnt get a positive test for another 3/4 days - any hcg related symptom such as sickness, tenderness ect wont happen this early (unless you have some very strongly multiplying hcg levels) Hold on till the weekend and test on Sunday perhaps? It will have given implatation time to do its thing with hcg (or maybe you might even need a few more days) Really keeping everything crossed for you and hoping that the good signs means its your month.

Am on 2ww as of today - i might sneak in a test at 9dpo which means i can test as of next Thursday and will definately know the weekend after this - this part of the month really drags and is so boring. Will SWI one more time tomorrow just incase ov is really late but i have a feeling it was last night as had pains at 1am for a couple of hours.

ImpatientHove · 12/05/2010 14:23

Hi All,

I feel for you decaf - the waiting is so hard! But you seem like you are in with a chance this month so fingers crossed for you.

Rosie - I hope to join you on the 2ww sometime soon but am still waiting for a positive OPK. After all my confising results last month I have opted for the digital variety this time.

Had a minor argument last night with DH so have to swallow my irritation tonight as def want to SWI just as surely mustbe about to ov soon, CD 17 today..

Good luck everyone

Prinpo · 12/05/2010 16:21

You do all keep my spirits up - it's so good to know I'm not the only one going through this! Having to bite your lip because you know you're ovulating and you don't want an argument to ruin this month's chances is such a familiar feeling. Impatient, you have my sympathy .

boba82 · 12/05/2010 16:23

Yeah you have mine too Impatient, been there !

Purplefan · 12/05/2010 17:42

Hi everyone,
I am now entering the 2nd week of the 2ww!! I am trying so hard not to sympton spot like a crazy lady....but .. just can't help myself!!
I normally get tender boobs before AF, but I have very sore nips at the moment and they are (sorry if TMI) standing to attention more than normal!! Is it a sign or mind tricks??! Am not going to POAS too early as have been in this game too long!!!
How is everyone else doing with the 2WW? Must be time for some graduates???

Rockbird · 12/05/2010 20:07

I'm on day 2 and trying not to think about it. I have an iPhone app that counts down all this stuff and I'm glued to it, even though it says the same as yesterday!

8rubberduckies · 12/05/2010 20:22

Am coming up to 28 days now but it's been soooo long since I had a 28 day cycle (last year), that I know I should wait. According to my chart on Fertility Friend I should POAS 28th May, and just to confuse things I have EWCM at the mo, even though according to my temps I probably ovulated at the weekend

So confused, wish I could just start having normal cycles...

I'm getting excited now though about starting to hear people's news

banana87 · 13/05/2010 10:05

decaf things sounds promising!! When I was pregnant with DD I had a double dip before my temp went back up ;-)

I've got a + OPK this morning. We dtd last night and will again tonight and tomorrow night. Hope that means I am in with a chance!!

How do I pinpoint exactly when I ov'd using OPK's?babydust to all!!

OPKs indicate when ov is about to occur so I'd keep up with the SWI for another couple of days if I were you!

Temp higher this morning but only back to coverline...still keeping everything crossed! xxx

Hope you're all well, I really appreciate the happy thoughts x
