Hello ladies, after a mammoth 47 day cycle hoping for a December baby, today is once again CD1 for me.

If all goes to plan this month my EDD would be Jan 30th so I thought I'd start the February bus as a positive step forward.

Am fully expecting to be on my own for a while but do come and sit beside me for the journey if you feel the need......

Hi everyone,
Sounds like you are having a right old party at the back of the bus!!
I'm still hanging in there...but have had some lower back pain, which is quite normal for me prior to AF
The days seem to drag when you are counting down to AF or POAS!!!

rosieposey · 17/05/2010 23:18

8rubberduckies and ImpatientHove thanks for your kind words and advice - we shall see what this Friday brings for her, perhaps it wont be as bad as all that anyway. Still she is only 17 and i am worried that she never (and i mean hardly ever) sees AF, its good it is being looked at now i suppose though.

Only a few days to go till the testing madness begins, i know there is no need to test more than once WHEN your AF is late but i have 15 hpt's and im going to use at least six of them (one a day!) Im telling myself that POAS'ness is half the fun of TTC!

rosie I tested every day for a fortnight after my BFP with DD. Blame Access Diagnostics and their packs of ten tests

rosieposey · 18/05/2010 10:46

Rockbird i did that too with DS i knew i was pg but i just wanted to see the line that i had waited so long to see come up within 20 secs

debka · 18/05/2010 12:05

So frustrating- EWCM and DH 'too busy' for anything in the day, and 'too tired' in the evening. HE DOESN'T HAVE A JOB!!!!!!!! Grrrrrr............................

PDR · 18/05/2010 12:49

Hello everyone! Can I join?

After an early MC in December, we are ready to try again this month.

Stats: TTC#2 UCL? Cycle 1, CD9

Prinpo · 18/05/2010 13:55

Debka, grrr on your behalf. I think that the male of the species is a delicate being. My DH has always been 'ready', if you catch my drift, but if he gets any inkling of tonight being a key night then he has a tendency to get all funny about it. Perhaps they think we only want them out of pure lust and it hurts their feelings to think otherwise.

Prinpo · 18/05/2010 13:56

Crap, meant to add a big welcome to PDR (can I ask what the name stands for?).

So sorry to hear about your mc. Glad you're feeling ready to try again and I hope this is a lucky bus for you.

delilahbelle · 18/05/2010 17:54

Hi all

After a early MC back in Feb we are trying again. Am feeling hopeful this month as I had some pinching/cramps yesterday, although it's prob just indigestion

Will be testing this Sunday if AF stays away

Stats:

Delilahbelle TTC#1 cycle 2 UCL 28 CD23

PDR · 18/05/2010 18:45

PDR = PolkaDotRachel which was my original name but noone (including me) could be arsed to type it

Welcome delilahbelle

8rubberduckies · 18/05/2010 21:21

Welcome newbies and hope this bus is good for you...

Advice please... I had AF-type cramps Sunday and Monday, which have now disappeared and no sign of AF. According to my chart, before my temps went all yo-yo-ish on me, this would have been spot-on good timing for implantation cramping. I also had EWCM during the same time, which would point to it being ovulation, so have been SWI too!!

Basically, the cramps have gone and my boobs have suddenly gone pneumatic on me today and I'm exhausted, really want to POAS... REALLY REALLY want to POAS. What with being on CD31 (even though my cycles are all over the place) I keep telling myself to just go for it, but another part of me wants to hang on a week and test then.

What would you do? POAS every few days until AF arrives or hold out?

debka · 18/05/2010 21:35

POAS!! It can only say no! Or maybe YES!!

Orchid12 · 18/05/2010 21:41

Hi 8, difficult one. I admire your self restraint! I don't want to encourage you if you're not ready, but if it were me I would test. I do also know how awful it is to get a BFN so it's your call

Welcome to the bus to the newbies! Hope you don't get to stay too long - I'm also hoping not to stick around but who knows what the old body will do...It's not played ball so far!

We're finally coming up to SWI time. Am on CD14 now, am hoping to OV around normal - CD18 ish which will be Sat, which is also the first full day of our holiday . I've packed my OPK's so that should get the holiday off to a good start and will keep me occupied instead of obsessing about 'am I, aren't I'? Had another reflexology session on Mon evening and still taking Agnus Castus so I'm hoping my body is going to play ball this month and do things properly. Please let this be our month, please.......

Rockbird · 19/05/2010 07:34

Go for it. I've been POAS for the last three days and I'm only on cd27 (of roughly 31). But it's only cycle1, I'll calm down!

ImpatientHove · 19/05/2010 10:00

Morning

welcome newbies

I would go for it rubberduckies if I were you - but then I have no patience whatsoever!

I am still using the OPKs - costing me a fortune and making me feel fed up

boba82 · 19/05/2010 10:19

Sorry AF got you aideesmum.

Prinpo · 19/05/2010 10:58

Sorry aideesmum, but nice to see you squeezing on to the back of the bus. Any of that booze left after yesterday? Thanks for the choc. Ferrero Rocher? Why, you are really spoiling us.

Well, after last month's reluctance on my part to do much SWIing, we've been far more vigilant this month and I feel as though we're doing the best we can . I have horrible ov pain today so imagine I'm ovulating either today or tomorrow. Imagine we'll continue the SWIing until the end of the weekend and then begins the dreaded 2ww.

This process is just ridiculous! I JUST WANT A BABY. Feeling veeeeeeeeery broody at the moment. Found myself silently blubbing in Toys R Us at the weekend when I walked past the section with cots in it. My dds are going through a stage of wanting to hear stories of when they were babies and it keeps bringing back to me just how amazing that time with a newborn is (as well as being utterly exhausting and fraught with worry, of course!). Sorry to rant and sorry to sound selfish as I know we have 2 dds already. I really try to stay patient and positive about this but there are some days when it all gets a bit much. We've been trying for number 3 for over two years now (I had 2 mcs along the way) and sometimes it feels as though we'll never get there.

Somebody pass me the Ferrero Rocher again .

Rockbird · 19/05/2010 11:15

Sorry to hear that aideesmum. Fingers crossed for next time

I nearly had to pull the car over earlier to be sick. Random nausea I can cope with but that's silly. Do you think it's a sign? Won't get any reliable result till Sunday/Monday at the earliest and it's so hard. I know I'm probably not but have had tingling on right hand side and now these waves of sickness. ARGH! I hate this hanging around

debka · 19/05/2010 12:51

Being sick, rockbird? That is SO a symptom!!

You don't sound selfish at all prinpo, I think we all feel like that, that's why we are on this thread! If you're feeling broody, probably worth getting a bit more SWIing in, it's your body telling you to do it!

My DH obliged last night (yay!!), have good feelings today- might try once more then it's the 2WW for me. Is it worth SWIing after you ovulate? (I mean a day or 2 after)?

Rockbird · 19/05/2010 13:10

debka I think once you've ovulated that's more or less it. I would have a go the day after but I think you've got 24 hours from ovulation IIRC to get a last attempt in

Prinpo I don't think it matters how many dc you already have. If you want a baby you want a baby and your head might be saying 'think yourself lucky' but the rest of you doesn't, I know. I get teary in the baby aisle at Tesco! DD is nearly out of nappies and once she is, then I have no need to go to that part of the store As well as that, I was idly flicking through the Argos catalogue and it occurred to me that I don't need to buy anything for another baby. I have prams galore, cots/travel cot/moses basket/clothes (unless boy)/sterilisers/bath/towels/slings the whole shebang! That exciting first baby shopping is done and won't come back

Anyway, I wasn't actually sick this morning but I never am, I'm completely phobic and hold it back by sheer willpower. But I was cupping my hand over my mouth just in case, it was a close thing. Oh God, I've talked myself into a BFP and I know I'm going to be disappointed. Two dcs first time out is too much to hope for. Hurry bloody up Sunday!

Prinpo · 19/05/2010 13:22

Rockbird, very excited for you (in a not getting my hopes up kind of way). Roll on Sunday. In the meantime, hope you don't feel too yucky.

Debka, I too was under the impression that once you've ovulated you only have 24 hours or so. That said, I read something in which someone eminent in the field said that women who are trying tttc often stop having sex too early in their cycle. I'd get one in within 24 hours, leave it a day or so and then have one for luck . After that, you can sit back and take some time off!

Purplefan · 19/05/2010 15:48

Hi all,
No AF for me yet.... was due today, but no sign!!
However....I did a cheeky POAS yesterday afternoon and it was a BFN , so I am not holding out much hope!

Rockbird sounds like a big sign for you!

MercyMe · 19/05/2010 16:59

Hey how is everyone? I haven't been on in ages, just thought I would check my stats and notice that af due today and no sign! Hopefully will be good news! I'm in hosp with dd at the min so not had a chance to keep track. Think I will till end of wk to POAS will have find a shop round here.

Fingers crossed for everyone xx
