thanks ladies
Truth to tell caija I'me finding myself incredibly nervous suddenly. I guess because we're so settled with one DC there's the worry of how we'll find a new balance with two. Also hoping this pregnancy a)sticks b) is not as hideous as when pg with ds!

bossyboop · 24/04/2010 10:29

Fingers crossed and positive hopes for everyone! Im on cd 16 and have cramping and lower back pain on right side, too early for af, fingers crossed its implantation!

bossyboop · 24/04/2010 10:30

cd17 actually, double checked, how i dont know that off by heart i dont know!

yumosh · 24/04/2010 23:34

hi..

been ttc for about a year..

cycle all over the place..

anyone know of any foods that is supposed to help? i heard pineapple!?

and if anyone else tells me 'not to think about it too much' ill have to stick an ovulation stick up their noses!!!
I do exist in my body and it's very difficult to 'switch off'... especially when AF is due and the tww..too emotional to ignore it..is it possible?

hope all you ladies best of luck

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 25/04/2010 12:15

yumosh Pineapple is supposed to help - although I heard it's actually pineapple juice (something about when its juiced certain chemicals are broken down). Also brazil nuts, both of these are high in selenium which are supposed to help with implantation.
You are only supposed to have one small glass of pineapple juice and one small handful of brazil nuts a day.

Would be keen to hear from others if there is anything else we should be troughing on

QueenofDreams · 26/04/2010 12:30

Hi ladies, how are you all doing?

yumosh I just ignored the fact that we were ttc. I know it sounds strange. The downside to that approach is that I was really shocked when I got my BFP, and I've been panicking a bit about it all.

Lib76 · 26/04/2010 12:41

hi girls thought i would join this thread. Been ttc for 5 months, baby number two. Cycles had been pretty much 30 days but last cycle 35 and currently on day 36 bfn yesterday and sure af is on her way!

itsjustclaire · 26/04/2010 20:53

QueenofDreams - Congratulations on your fantastic news!! I am so pleased for you.

Yumosh - I know exactly what you mean, I can't help thinking about TTC all the time. I too have been told by friends not to think about it too much and it will happen...but it is so much more difficult than it sounds.

BootyMum · 27/04/2010 10:40

Hello everyone, can I join too! Have been reading about QueenofDream's fantastic news and hope this may be a lucky thread
Am ttc baby number 2, have DS of one year old. 36 years old, nearly 37, and still BF...
First period following birth of DS started on 11th April - so now in fertile period...
Sorry for not using more abbreviation as not sure what some of them mean - AF, BFP for example??? Sorry for being so ignorant but am relatively new to Mumsnet!
Best of luck to everyone else ttc!!!

babylove2 · 27/04/2010 10:44

Hi ladies, congrats to you queenofdreams

I have started the ovulation process, me and hubby are going for the "try" everyday approach. not sure if that will work and he will run out of sperm? lol

Anywhoo keeping my fingers crossed for everyone

xx

QueenofDreams · 27/04/2010 14:52

Hey booty alll the best to you
AF = Auntie Flo (period)
BFP = Big fat positive (pregnancy test)

acronym list

xkatyx · 27/04/2010 15:39

Hey ladies has anyone else just tried the "having sex everyday" approach? im also ovulating this week not really sure when, but peed on an ovulation stick this morning and got a positive, does that mean today or should we be at it for the next couple of days

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 28/04/2010 20:41

xkatyx, i'm jumping on the have sex everyday approach.
It worked for me a few months ago before M/C. Yesterday was the first of a very active week

I know it's a bit late as you posted your message yesterday, but I would have gone for it straight away!!

xkatyx · 28/04/2010 21:15

We are still going at it, have been since sunday i tested posiyive on my ovulation stick yesterday so i have been told the next 3 days are a must .. must admit my insides are a tad tender lol .. hope we can carry on for the next important days.

We sound like we have roughly the same dates

Laces · 30/04/2010 17:38

Hi!
Wow, so this is my first post on here! Just wondering if it's too late for me to join you all? 1st day of this months cycle was 16th April, so cd 14 today, think I ov'd today or yesterday, usually have 27-28 day cycles, so due to test around 14th May, so around the same dates as some of you, I am also trying for #3, dd is 5 and ds is 3, we have waited a long time to be able to start ttc, due to various reasons, it just wasn't the right time, never joined a forum when ttc or pregnant with my first 2, so looking forward to getting to know a few of you!

xkatyx · 30/04/2010 18:05

Hi Laces, same as me baby no 3, and im a 27-28 cycle, due on 15th of may.

I think i have already ovulated, i peed on a stick and got a positive Tuesday so been at it everyday since

good luck to you.

Laces · 30/04/2010 20:37

Thanks xkatyx don't know if we have much of a chance this month, 1st month trying and hubby is having to work away quite a bit, so just having to keep at it when we can but coz its only our first month I'm not stressing about it too much at the moment, it'll happen when it happens!

xkatyx · 30/04/2010 20:41

Yeah my hubby is working night's at the moment and with 2 other kiddies it hard to "try" in the day.

Did you fall prgnant with you 2dc easily?

Laces · 30/04/2010 22:52

fairly easily, dd was 3rd month of trying after coming off the pill, ds was second month of trying. Not planning on it happening as quickly this time, had a few problems after having ds and not convinced it will all run smoothly, or maybe even happen at all this time, hence trying to remain fairly laid back about it all! We'll see if i'm still saying that in a couple of months time, shall we???

xkatyx · 01/05/2010 16:45

Good luck to you, i'm sure everything will be fine.

I feel the same i fell pregnnt with my 2 first time, i was so lucky, cant see how i would be as lucky 3rd time round, hope so.

x

xkatyx · 02/05/2010 14:11
