TTC after a Miscarriage - Keep Trying!!!!

Diddle · 27/07/2005 15:15

Well ladies, its about time we had a new thread, the old one is getting very long. Plus I think we need another fresh start, with lots of positive babydust:

.,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'- .,'-.,'-.,'-',. .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',..,'-.,'-.,' .,'-.,'-.,'-',.

Get a big handful girls, i think we all need it.
I was trying to think of something great and positive to put, but this TTC lark is getting us all down, i'm fed up of trying, but we will all succeed eventually, our times will come.

It will be much better for our little ones to have a good start when our bodies are truly ready to carry them.

auntynon - its horrible going back to work isn't it. I work with kids, Childminder - and after my first m/c in Jan i had a week off, then after the 2nd in April I had no time off, and it is so hard to stay focused and smiling. I was so drained. The crying will get less gradually, although i still have a good cry now and then, and now.
Its horrible what we have all been through, so unfair, we don't deserve this do we. Will come to you for all my bog and whirlpool advice from now on.

sorry will pull myself together now

Shelly24 - I think we can all understand why you are struggling to accept that you are pregnant. But honestly if you have had a line on that many tests, then it can't be wrong. The digi tests are great, easy to use and i think i'm turning into a walking advert for them. It is horrible having your hopes dashed, and if i wasn't so addicted to testing i would be trying to do as you are. stay strong hunny, and test as much or little as you want. Congrats again. we're all thinking of you.

Hellkat - you're doing a great job of avoiding mumsnet, i'm missing my early morning chat buddy Hope you're doing ok.

Maddyd - Hope thats a compliment about being like your mom, she must be lovely

Shelly
I know if and when I get pregnant I will feel exactly the same way as you do now. It is terrifying really, there is nothing you can do but take one day at a time. Look after yourself.
It is so hard to feel positive when you know so well what can wrong, but being postive wont hurt the baby. Stress, worry and negativity might.
And when no one else understands, Mumsnet does.

Ok Everyone, i had a crap night and going to phone Doc in a mo, but before i do that i have some exciting news for all of us.

Royal jelly will get us pregnant according to Dr Gillien McKieth the 'You are what you eat' woman. She swears by it! So dont know about you but as soon as shopa are open im there!!!!!

Diddle · 05/08/2005 08:40

maddyd - Morning girly, hope the doc can sort you out, royal jelly, will have to investiagte that one. thought the greent tea was going to be good, then it turns out its not.
so many things we can try.

cori - well said, what a lovely message.

Well i felt like a weight had been lifted after my massage last night, it was lovely, trying to stay stress free today, not too many kids so souldn't be too hard, plus we're out tonight, as its dh's b'day tomorrow. So hopefully will get plenty of relaxing, chilled out bd. Must do it tonight, as its OV weekend and we're at the in laws tomorrow night, and theres no way i'm doing it there.

I keep getting little twinges in my abdomen, does anyone else get this around OV, only been able to feel it since the m/c's, very strange. Could i be feeling my eggs on thir way??? or have i gone mad?

petunia · 05/08/2005 09:14

Morning all,
Maddyd- poor you, you're really going through it at the moment. Hope the dr can help.

Diddle- I was due to OV earlier this week, my twinges were more like cramps and sometimes they were quite painful. At times I felt positively pre-menstrual! Fairly sure I didn't have them before the mc.

Diddle · 05/08/2005 09:19

petunia - oh good, at leats i'm not the only one, not nice that yours are so painful though. mine are just like little twinges nothing mega painful, thank goodness.

OP posts:
petunia · 05/08/2005 09:26

Diddle- they weren't very painful, seemed to be mostly on my left-hand side but I was in a foul mood on Monday and snapped at DH (I've said it before, bloody hormones!)

Xena · 05/08/2005 09:29

Auntynon I don't think that the digitals are any better other than you don't have to decide whether there is a 2nd line or not it just say not pregnant or pregnant. But if you take them apart then they still have the one or two blue lines. I'm sorry about you m/c, have you got any other children or is this your first (have you filled in the stat thread?)

Xena · 05/08/2005 09:32

My sister has always had a ov pain.

Diddle · 05/08/2005 10:38

morning xena - how you doing? quite common this ov pain then. i'm normal after all.

OP posts:
LunarSea · 05/08/2005 12:31

AF is back this morning. Which means this cycle was only 17.5 days. And I've had nothing but negatives from OPKs starting on day 8/Saliva Test thingy all month, so looks like to go with the ever shorter cycles I've stopped OVing too. Aargh!

And have just found out that I can't even change GP because they have catchment areas and won't take you on if you are out of their area, so the useless one we've got (who despite all the evidence thinks nothing's wrong so won't do tests, won't refer us....) is our only option, short of moving.

I really must try to talk more to you guys on the days when I'm not getting hit by yet more bad news - it must sound to you like I spend my whole life being miserable.

Diddle · 05/08/2005 14:49

oh lunarsea - so sorry you're having a rough time of it. Your doctor, sounds useless, is there no other doctor at your surgery you could try?? I would insist on a referral, how annoying. Or pretend you've moved house and register at a friends address who is in the right area? I moved out of my local docs area when i left home but wanted to keep my doctor so i used my nans address, as she was still in the area.

Hi guys, how are you all? Not been around for a few days, been feeling really lousy, all the left hand side of my face is really painful, it's very odd. Went to the doctors today could only get in to see the nurse, but she said it might be shingles, or if I'm lucky (!) just a viral thing that's affecting the nerves in my face. Great! Just hope it goes away soon whatever it is as I'm starting to get ewcm, so must be coming up to ov time. I'm not amused!

Shelly, really rooting for you here, think you know you are pregnant, but can really understand your disbeleif at the moment. Hang on in there.

Maddyd how did it go at the doctors? Not a good time for all this to be happening. Don't know very much about gallstones except they are painful. Hope it all gets treated quickly.

Diddle, I get ov pains, sort of twinges in the few days leading up to, and then I'm really really sore on the actual day of ov, which is a bit inconvenient, as can make bd a bit tricky, but needs must!

Tabs, I can't open the pdf to read that article, not sure why, our computer's going a bit doolally at the moment, but thanks for sending it. Can anyone give me a brief synopsis? Will def be getting some royal jelly though.

Well, better go and do bath and bedtime, going to spend the evening wrapping presents as DS1 is 5 tomorrow. Catch up with you all later, xx.

nicmum2boys · 05/08/2005 18:14

Lunarsea, I'm getting that too at the moment, my cycles are getting shorter and shorter, not really sure what can be done about if anything. I was going to see how it goes this month and then see the doctor. I'm pretty sure I'm oving though, just seem to have a lf of about 7 days, well last month was anyway, which I don't think is long enough for implantation. Sorry your doctor isn't helping you .

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 05/08/2005 19:26

shelly24 are you around? How has your day been?

AF seems to be tailing off.Have a heavy day at start then goes after 3 so quite lucky.Ov tests arrived in post so all geared up for this month. Its a merry-go-round isnt it?

HumphreysCorner · 05/08/2005 20:13

auntynon · 05/08/2005 22:17

zena, I have a dd almost 2 yrs, have also added stats to thread. Really want her to have sibling. I know I'm lucky to have one but I'd prefer her not to be only child, I'm one of three, dh one of four. Would love to have three but must not get greedy, as we all know too well nothing can be taken for granted.

HellKat · 06/08/2005 09:41

Morning all!
Diddle- Missed ya too hun!!! Yep get bad ov pain here too. According to that programme "The Human Body", we get the pain because the ovary splits roughly 5mm when it it releases the egg hence it hurts! fascinating to watch though.
Humphreys- Lol at sending you men!!!! Have a great time watching the brum brums (oh god, my brain has absorbed too much of ds2! )

shelly24 · 06/08/2005 09:47

Morning girls, hope all of you are well
This is a very nerve racking message for me to write,as i haven't quite got my head around it yet,but i did a clearblue test this morning and its def a BFP!!!i'm pregnant!!

This will happen for all you ladies in the very near future too!i guarentee it!!Believe in yourself as a strong and derermined woman, and you will bring home that baby you all are aching for
I'll go to the docs on mon,and i'll get in touch soon, love to you all.x.x

HellKat · 06/08/2005 10:28

Shelly- congratulations hun, you deserve it!! Wow what fabulous news!!! Here's to a blissfully happy 8/9 mths ahead!! Well done girl!

HellKat · 06/08/2005 10:38

think af will be back soon here. Boobs hurt, craving choc, extra tired! Will test today and Monday to rule out pg (pretty sure I'm not because I've been on/off testing) but best to be safe than sorry eh? Had bad af type pains all week and won't be happy to see her again at all (only been on a week!).

HumphreysCorner · 06/08/2005 11:30
