I was trying to think of something great and positive to put, but this TTC lark is getting us all down, i'm fed up of trying, but we will all succeed eventually, our times will come.

It will be much better for our little ones to have a good start when our bodies are truly ready to carry them.

Don't worry Diddle - the NICE (National Institute for Clinical Excellence Guidelines) re lifestyle things which might affect fertility say that there's not enough evidence re caffeine - so they don't actually recommend that you need to give it up!

No i havnt tested again. I did take it out of the pack as bleeding lighter now but the pain is still very bad, am on nurofen and codiene and its not helping. So i thought not much point really.

Am in mood from hell today but good news is we are booking the Manderin Hotel later thanks to Shellys recommemdation. Just trying to get some discount through the spa federation as we work for a well known Spa too. Anyway we are going for some quality time together and will prob not leave the bed unless there is a fire

hi maddyd - sorry you're not feeling good, hate stomach cramps, make you feel so rough. Very jealous of your weekend away. we're looking into booking one now, might go to Disneyland Paris in Sept.
I'm on cd12, ov this weekend coming, so plenty of bd for us this week, might not ov test and just get on with it, think it might just put more pressure on us if we know a certain date. lets see what hand fate deals us this month.

Does anyone know the effects stress can have on fertility etc, feeling veyr stressed at the moment, and DH keeps winding me up which i'm sure won't help me either. any ideas?

Ive heard stress and worrying about it do not help at all. But its easier said than done to be laid back about it isnt it?
Your sensible about the ov tests. My friend used them and bd'd all through ov time everynight and still didnt catch. Her dissapointment was immense. I felt so sorry for her, bless

Oh maddyd, are you OK? You sound as if you're in an awful lot of pain having to take 2 lots of painkillers. Sounds like you need a break away, and it would be something to look forward to.
Interesting what you're all saying about caffeine. When I had my first scan appointment through, the hospital sent me a letter asking if I would take part in a study on the effects of caffeine on the developing baby. It involved keeping a diary but one reason I really wanted to do it was because you got 2 extra scans (I think they were at 24 and 36 weeks) which I thought would be nice to have. Girls-I can't believe that I have started weeing on sticks already!!! Did it last night-WHY?????????????????? I'm not even fertile until Thursday but of course I have a metallic taste in my mouth, gums are bleeding and boobs hurt. What am I like? Told DH we have to send some more in tonight (we are on an every other night arrangement which ties in very nicely with the fact that we are away on Saturday night alone at Brands Hatch for the bike racing) Hip hip hooray!

We have bought a folding camper, with the intention of going away every weekend that the weather is fine, have booked a place in Horsham for the weekend £40 all in. IT will be the first time in 18mths we've been away!!

Not going till the 13th od August so i have plenty of time to get excited. My first ever weekend away without kids.

already marked up calender and told husband NO ALCOHOL during this time as he does have a few cans every night (this is since we lost philippa) and he used to have a few nights off before.

started today day 33 (last month ov on cd17 on 31 day cycle) so gonna bd every other from 14 to 21 and dh will abstain from beer same period
hoping to stay away from ov kits but cant promise.......

Just booked 4 days at Disneyland paris for 5 wks time, can't wait. I bet knowing our bloody luck, i'll be pg by then and not be able to go on the rides. Can't believe i'm wishing pg away now.
We had a holiday there booked when i was pg first and had to cancel it, then had a m/c, wish we'd kept the first booking now, would have saved us some pennies.

Nice to have something to look forward to.

Diddle - effect of stress is that ov can be delayed, so if you are stressed then I'd suggest that you carry on BDing every 2 or 3 days until AF arrives, as if ov is delayed and you're not testing then you won't know for sure that you have ov'ed. Quite possibly why AF was late for you this last month too.

tabs - thank you, i was wondering if stress had delayed AF, will try extra hard this month to stay calm and relaxed. got a massage booked for Thursday night, so that will help a lot towards it. Plus i shold be OV in the next few days after, so i have just realised what great timing that is. Right no more wine this month. I'm on a mission.

Morning Diddle, hope you enjoy your massage. I really got my hopes after my hot stone massage, thought it may have rebalanced my insides but i think it made it worse . Have fun at Disney land Paris, i would love to got to Paris but Dp's needs a new passpoet as just ran out or we would have had a weekend there. We went to Florida when i was Pg with Toby and it was so restricting as i couldnt go on anything and the heat and the amount of walking we did really shattererd me.

Shelly have you used that last tests yet?

Am off to Docs today as this pain is really bad front and back but has moved higher up now. Its a really tight pain now not cramping. I wouldnt normally go but ive had it over a week now so dp is pushing me to go. Think he will say its a kidney infection as that effects you back doesnt it?

maddyd - hope all is well at the doctors, sorry you're feeling so rough.
We were thinking of going to Florida next year, we went last year for our honeymoon and DH loved it. i've been loads when i was younger with my parents, but it was his first time. We have discussed the possibilty of being pregnant, or hopefully having a baby by then, and we're pretty certain that we wouldn't mind not going on the rides, we love the shows, and it would be nice to do the parks at a slower rate.
Let us kow how you get on Maddyd - hope all is ok and they sort you out.

maddyd-hope you get to see the Doctor today.

I rang my Drs at 8-15am this morning and there were no morning appointments left All they could offer was an 11-50am at another surgery with the Dr I hate so will have to try tomorrow.

Having a trim and edge (hair cut) later this morning and off shopping and lunch out with mum (usual Wednesday routine-ablsolutely love it).

Big Bro-Craig jealous of Eugene-what a laugh!
