He is easy to spoil as is a total cutie [totally not biased emoticon].

Maveta · 06/03/2010 17:42

evening all - had to resist overwhelming urge to go buy a test this afternoon haven´t been sharing my obsessing with dh at all so this pm finally told him i´ve been thinking about it and he told me to ´chill out´ grrrrrrrrrrr....

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 06/03/2010 19:10

Okay Maveta, cover your eyes for this bit as I don't want to get the blame for leading you astray but I just tested with a digital and got a positive!

Feel very shocked and cautious but hope this one wants to stay around.

I guess I need to start looking after myself a bit then

Red - congrautlations! Hope all goes well for you.

Lou - sorry to hear AF arrived, and hope you can enjoy the rest of the weekend with DS amd DH.

Maveta - exactly why I am trying not to share the obsession too much with DH - didn't actually tell him I tested and got BFN this morning.

Still no AF although not sure when it is due! Red - am v tempted to try the digital one too now, but I'm at least going to wait until the morning, and preferably Monday.

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 06/03/2010 19:29

Thank you, I'm amazed! Always just asumed I would have problems conceiving but maybe not. We have been SWI every other day from cd 10 to cd 20 and that's it! I have been taking pregnancy multivits and OH has had a multivit too. I haven't been charting and have randomly used ov tests in the past but never had a positive so I quickly gave up on those.

We thought we had problems before and had all the tests but I just think we weren't SWI often enough as since we have done it every other day I have fallen pregnant twice in 4 cycles.

morning all!

Red, thats great news! congrats lovey

lou, i know its tough, have you seen cons about things you can do to lengthen cycle? i had a hysteroscope, during which they removed some excess tissue, this helped with my leutal phase quite a bit.

hope everyone else is well. (and good luck to any testers) should we have a roll cal dya think?

queenoftheslatterns: ttc no2 cycle no54 - CD21/7dpo

i suffer from something called teitzes which is inflammation of the rib cartlidge and when i have a flare up it pushes ribs out. bloody painful, i had a bad flare up last night and was sick with pain, today cant raise arms at all, shoulders and neck are v stiff indeed. ouchy.

OP posts:
Loujalou · 07/03/2010 08:22

Queen am going to the doctors tomorrow so they can start doing some tests. Am going to tell them I get pre-witch spotting as apparently that is one thing that will need investigating. The Teitzes sounds painful ouch!

Hypno seems to think that stress is an important factor (well she would) as conceived so quickly last time as just came back from honeymoon.

queenoftheslatterns · 07/03/2010 08:37

sounds like a plan (god, how i hate the "stress" card) ask about progesterone supplements (your gp can prescribe them) it should help to lengthen your lp) there is also a herb/homeopathic remedy you can take, angus castus, but you should see a specialist before buying it. its pretty powerful.

thank you, its awful this am, my whole chest is throbbing and still hurts, might have an A&E visit after all. bleddy marvellous!

Bicnod · 07/03/2010 18:18

Red - massive congratulations you must be over the moon

Queen you poor thing did you go to A&E in the end? hope you're ok

We're off on hols to Cornwall on Wed so hoping to conceive a Christmas baby while we're there

queenoftheslatterns · 07/03/2010 18:29

nah, i decided to just take my painkillers and rest (couldnt face cortisone injection) still fecking hurts though how are you?

OP posts:
Wholelottalove · 07/03/2010 19:29

Queen - hope you're feeling a bit better? Sounds horrible, poor you.

Good luck with the xmas baby SWI-ing and have a lovely holiday Bic!

Lou - hope docs goes ok for you.

Well, AF is not here yet. Am still getting eigther pms or early pg symptoms - who konws which? boobs sore - v sore again, feeling sicky and extremely emotional, and could swear sense of smel is getting more acute. Cracked and did the expensive clearblue digi this am and BFN - am so dumb! (Lucy I know you will say I told you so lol!) Must be wishful thinking with the random symptoms. I guess just got to keep on waiting and hope AF arrives. Do seem to remember getting a BFN with DD when AF due then a BFP a couple of days later.

Now repeating like a mantra, I will not test anymore, I will not test anymore. Gah!

Wholelottalove · 07/03/2010 19:30

Oh, and I've just searched all the old threads about who got BFPs after AF due, just to fuel the paranoia! I'm pretty sure I'm 14 or 15 DPO now, so surely it would show on test? Argh, I really did promise myself not to get obsessed and now look at me!

Bicnod · 07/03/2010 20:52

Queen you poor thing hope you have a restful night tonight and feel better in the morning.

Ooooo WLL, keeping fingers crossed for you. So you're going to hold off testing for a few days? Maybe get some ebay cheapies in for the next test so you don't end up spending too much? They send them out really quickly - these are the ones I got.

By the way, I'm new to all this ttc malarky (DS was a happy accident), what does SWI-ing stand for? Can't find it in acronyms...

Loujalou · 07/03/2010 21:22

Witch still not properly here yet. Its my body playing tricks. Usually after spotting it would be here....

Goodluckbear · 08/03/2010 10:29

I just wanted to drop in and say thanks to Queen for those stats - I caved and tested today (BFN) - so annoyed with myself, AF is not due until Wednesday and I promised I wouldn't test until then AT THE VERY EARLIEST, but then had to organise meeting with a friend who is as pregnant as I would've been if I hadn't mc'd, and I was so pissed off I just thought I'd test and maybe have something to cheer me up and it MADE IT WORSE!!

Gah, such a fool!!

Stinky pee sticks and their stinky BFNs - as if Monday morning wasn't bad enough!!

Rant OVER.

xxxxxxxxx

Wholelottalove · 08/03/2010 15:19

Hiya Bic - thanks for the link, I'll have to have a look at those, although I already bought some clearblue today, having remembered thsoe were what I got my BFP with with DD . I am going to wait until Thursday as have two stressful days at work coming up, then retest.

Weeell, I think SWI stands for 'shagging with intent' which made me

Hey Lou - sorry AF not arrived, horrible being in limbo isn't it? Hope it settles down soon for you.

Hi Goodluckbear - sorry you're having a pants Monday, and sorry for your loss. It really is the pits getting BFN isn't it?

Wholelottalove · 08/03/2010 15:26

Queen - sorry, meant to ask how are you feeling today? Hope you are feeling better.

FourOfFour · 08/03/2010 22:44

Ok, I'm with you; just POAS'd at 8DPO - BFN, of course. Meh.

Can somebody please give me a good slap and stop me using the other one before the 16th when I'm actually due?

Thanks in advance

PS. Queen, hope you're feeling better?

Loujalou · 09/03/2010 08:11

The witch has arrived but as am having some tests done not feeling too negative today. Though that could all change.

queenoftheslatterns · 09/03/2010 15:11

OP posts:
Goodluckbear · 09/03/2010 15:38

Hey Queen - glad you are feeling better today. You have willpower - maybe it'll rub off on me. I still keep checking out what bargains are on the pee sticks in Superdrug and Boots, even though, if I stuck to my rules, I would only be testing after AF is due and would therefore only need ONE of them.

So why would I look to buy one get one free on the boxes of two - four pee sticks? Why would I need four? Because I'm a LOON.

AF is due tomorrow, I have PMT, am trying to pretend it's indigestion and that I'm still in with a chance.

xxxxxxxx

LittleSilver · 09/03/2010 19:52

GLB, if it makes you feel any better I have got a twin pack of digis and a normal CB, but am already planning to purchase a twin pack of Tesco own brand on Friday. Like you, I am a Loon.
