I am so glad you posted this! I can't stop thinking about testing, it is like an urge - terrible. It doesn't help that I have a lovely Clearblue Digital sitting in the drawer just waiting.

I have PCOS so not sure where I am and I had a mc last month so I need to wait until at least Sunday. It seems like so long away and I have every imaginary symptom going

redandyellow, welcome! resist the urge!! are your periods really irregular then? whats your story? (am nosey old bint)

OP posts:
redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 04/03/2010 13:04

Thank you! I went a bit dizzy last night with the urge but have resisted so far.

I have PCOS, we have been trying for over 12 months but in a half-hearted way (ie not timing when we SWI at all and just doing it when we wanted, couldn't even call it SWI really ) and that didn't work so three months ago we started trying 'properly'. I was pregant last month but mc at 5 and a half weeks. Started trying again straight away and on cd27 now but no real idea what my cycle length is. I suppose they are regular in that they can be between 28-40 days, not bad with PCOS! Last few months have all been under 35 days.

I never believed I could get pregnant naturally so now I am very obsessed as I don't want to go through any treatment if I can help it. I have had all the tests as has OH and I need to lose weight if we progress further with Clomid or IVF so I am working on that too.

Fingers crossed

Maveta · 04/03/2010 20:29

i need this thread! only on cycle 2 ttc #2 but been a weird one - my cycles are mostly around 35 days but anything from 28-39, last month 28, knew by about 24 days nothing had happened as had my monthly spot and other symptoms of af started.

this month currently on day 34 and no sign of af not even ´the´ monthly spot. Been feeling a bit nauseous and ´off´ since last week but two tests (one at 26 days, one at 30) BFN. Now I´ve got a heavy cold so not sure if I´m just coming down with something. Holding off now til monday if I can (obv if af still not appeared!) when I´ll be 38 days. Have ordered some ebay cheapies and determined to at least wait for them, not spending any more money on CBD! at price!

with ds i think i tested when i was about 5 days late (very estimated given my cycle) and a very strong +ve first time - that was only 2nd cycle too so all this repeat testing and uncertainty is new ground!

Wholelottalove · 04/03/2010 20:35

Hi everyone. Well, I resisted the urge to test this morning (pats self on back). Still got v sore boobs and still don't know if due to impending AF or something happier.

Am also shattered today and spent all day at work yawning, but I think it might have had something to do with DD getting up at 4.00... Early night is in order.

queenoftheslatterns · 05/03/2010 06:45

morning all and welcome to newcomers, dont worry - we shall keep you on the straight and narrow

cant believe that im fecking symptom spotting already! was starving last night and felt sick whenever i wasnt eating. i know its too early to symptom spot, i know that... but a little hope's good right?

I crumbled .

I did a Tesco test, there was nothing, I stared, nothing, stared, NOTHING, stared, line, definitely a line. I held it up, I looked at it in different lights and I'm pretty sure it was a line but now I'm not sure it wasn't evaporation as I don't really know how long I stared for.

I have had to put it in the wheelie bin to stop myself getting it back. And I now know exactly nothing more than I did an hour ago before I tested.

Will I ever learn?

Bicnod · 05/03/2010 17:02

Can I please join this thread? I'm going slightly round the twist and need to NOT DO ANY MORE TESTS until sunday at the earliest.

DH and I are ttc number 2 but my periods have only just started back after stopping bf DS (10 months old). If they went back to being like clockwork straight away (they were like clockwork 28 day cycle before DS) then I would currently be 3 days late.

I've done a couple of million cheapy ebay test strips and all BFNs. Unebelievably even when held up to the light and twisted round slightly

I know I'm very unlikely to be pg. I'm being a prat. Someone talk me down please!!

Hi lucy

AF was due on 3 March. I had some cramping late last week which felt like AF was about to start early but it didn't. Also had lower back pain around the same time. Both have now gone. I'm absolutely knackered (but then, I have a 10 month old DS so what's new) and I have felt slightly nauseous over the past few days, but that could be wishful thinking.

With DS I didn't have any symptoms at all until about 7 weeks so think I'm probably making the nausea up.

Argggggghhhh!!

Don't know when I ovulated but cycle length pre-DS was 28 days bang on. Not sure if it has properly settled down post-DS though.

I tested yesterday (and the day before) so want to leave it until sunday if I can. I've been reading lots about people who got BFNs until 7, 8, 9 or 10 days after AF due and then a BFP so reckon it would be best to hold out if I can.

Anyone know if the ebay cheapies are as accurate/show up as early as other tests?

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 05/03/2010 17:27

I dunno really. I am anywhere between 28-34 days and no idea when I ov. Today is cd28 but I will test again in the morning.

I don't have any symptoms either way but I don't generally get period pain or anything anyway.

just wanted to say I'm real;ly pleased you've decided to give it another go queen There will be lots of Mn'ers rooting for you.

liahgen66 · 05/03/2010 18:11

and also to say i to have wasted a tenner om 2 fr this week. Am on day 36 of a normally 26 day cycle, this is following an erpc though so really have no idea when to expect bloody period.

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 05/03/2010 19:24

You're right Lucy. But can't I just do a teensy, cheapy, little test in the morning? Just a little one? Pllllllllease?

Wholelottalove · 05/03/2010 19:42

Hey all - still here I habe decided to do test tomorrow morning - think that's 14 DPO then. Still sore boobs - in fact v sore now and feeling a teensy bit sicky. I didn't get morning sickness until about 5 or 6 weeks with DD so maybe it's in my head?

Why are early pg symptoms almost identical to PMS? Our bodies are cruel and mysterious things...
