not started one of these threads for a while but have moved on from my enforced ttc break and we shall give it another go. however, I have one rule.

NO TESTING BEFORE 14DPO, its for your own good!

OP posts:
squishy · 28/04/2010 07:26

Thanks again Bicnod, think I get it all now! No idea if I'm ovulating, so just going with trying to have lots of sex around 2 weeks before when I think AF may arrive (see, am using the lingo already!) as this is what GP has suggested - does that seem correct?

Back has been really bad recently though, so may not have got in as much as was needed - will see in the next couple of weeks!

Bicnod · 28/04/2010 08:38

I'm an idiot and I need a slap. Just used last test (cheapie from ebay) on impulse. Didn't even use first morning urine. Not due AF for another 3 days. Unsurprisingly BFN. Tell me off and tell me there's still hope?!!!

Parker23 · 28/04/2010 17:30

Bad Bicnod! It's usless trying to resist isn't it! Even though you know that if you get a BFN you're still not going to be satisfied because it's completely possible that you just haven't got enough hCG to detect! Especially if it was a cheap PT! Of course there's hope Bicnod! Have you had many 'symptoms?' You've just got to wait till Saturday!

Having said that...I intend to POAS first thing in the morning! After being convinced that AF was imminent I got more and more bloated last night.

Anyway, this morning I went for a wee and there were a few dots of watery pink. I was gutted and decided that within the hour I'd probably come on. Been checking throughout the day and there were a couple of drops more but they were slightly brown so it's given me a bit more hope that this might not be what I thought.

I'm afraid I've just got to test tomorrow, seeing as it will be CD 28 and I've had this spotting!...is that allowed?

Fingers, legs and eyes well and truly crossed!

tiffs · 28/04/2010 17:58

Hi all,

I have managed to resist using the pg test in the bathroom today however .... its been a struggle

Bicnod - Dont worry to much about testing ... i think most of us have been there... its just to tempting!

Is anybody else symptom spotting like mad??? I keep thinking every thing is a symptom even tho i have thought every month since starting ttc.

Speak again soon

Bicnod · 28/04/2010 18:37

Telling offs gratefully received

I can't POAS on the spur of the moment as I haven't got any PTs. And I managed to resist buying some at the supermarket this morning - took some serious willpower though.

Yep, symptom spotting like mad. Had a teeny tiny bit of spotting this morning which is unusual. Either AF starting early (VERY unusual for me) or something else is going on. I'll know if AF is starting by tomorrow as once it starts it starts so fingers crossed it doesn't...

squishy · 28/04/2010 20:38

Parker23 - can you hold off 2 more days? I had one just like that 8 weeks after previous AF and it did become full AF after spotting/brown spotting - just to avoid the disappointment?

Parker23 · 28/04/2010 20:55

Eek! Too late I'm afraid squishy! I caved and did the test when I got home! I know I'm naughty, it wasn't even my first wee of the day, but it was a BFP!

Of course I'm absolutely terrified that it won't stick around now and that I'll have a repeat of January.

However last time I had a deep gut feeling that things weren't right and even when people told me to relax and enjoy it, I knew there was something wrong. This time I do feel a bit different. I feel a lot more positive. I just need to hope and pray that I don't suddenly come on in the next few days. Once I'm past Saturday I will relax a little bit. Maybe I should have kept that PT in the draw!

tiffs · 28/04/2010 21:05

Congratulations Parker23 thats fantastic news!

Has anyone ever heard of being hot as symptom??? I am hot and sweating more (sorry if tmi) . I did not know if this was a symptom or just time to get out all my summer clothes

xx

Bicnod · 28/04/2010 21:18

Parker that's wonderful news! Congratulations and will keep my fingers crossed for your sticky bean

AF still hasn't shown up despite spotting this morning so fingers and toes crossed it was implantation.

ARrggggggggggghhhhhh - the wait is agony!!

Parker23 · 28/04/2010 22:24

Thanks! I'm trying not to worry too much but also trying not to get too excited!

It is agony Bicnod!! Even if you get a BFP! There's nothing to do but wait and hope.

tiffs I had hot flushes and woke up very hot and sweaty two mornings ago. But I do tend to get hot just before AF anyway.

Good luck both of you! Keep us posted!

Bicnod · 30/04/2010 07:09

AF has arrived early really thought it might be my month

Oh well... onwards and upwards... see you all in a few weeks!

squishy · 30/04/2010 10:21

Fingers crossed for your Parker23

Sorry to hear that Bicnod, am expecting mine anytime in the next 10 days, don't think I've tried hard enough this month!

Parker23 · 30/04/2010 16:24

Oh sorry Bicnod that's rubbish! I really do sympathise.

Why don't you enjoy a massive glass of wine! (or two...or...)

I'm still sending you lots of good will and luck for next month!

ljg72 · 30/04/2010 18:28

I agree Parker, BICNOD...have a large wine!...it's all very pants this TTC lark!!!!.
I've booked to see doctor, as not even ovulating!!!WTF...38 and dried up?.

Bicnod · 02/05/2010 13:12

Tiffs congratulations!!! That's wonderful news

ljg72 - yep, big fat smelly pants. That's what it is. Oh well, onwards and upwards etc etc

On the upside DS didn't wake at 5am for the first time in ages, I got a lie in until 6.30am

squishy · 06/05/2010 06:26

Congrats Parker!

Ljg72, did AF arrive? Mine did this morning - even though I'd tried to con my mind into expecting it and being sure this month wouldn't be the one, how come I was still so disappointed?!

ljg72 · 06/05/2010 07:35

Hello ...no SQUISHY, AF still not arrived, but not preg...before we were ttc af was always bang on!!!! now it's all over the place!!!! does strange things to your head, filling you with hope, and syptom spotting like MAD!!!!.
Sorry your AF arrived, but on a positive note, at least you can plan for ttc later this month, not that makes you feel better right now .
Hope all is good with sticky bean PARKER? congrats once again...hopefully we will all be just behind you XX

squishy · 06/05/2010 20:46

Thanks Ljg72, only AFing every 6-8 weeks, so it's a long old wait in between; not sure if am ovulating and also have one poly cystic ovary, so lots of odds stacked against (or feels like it atm) but GP has suggested try again with weight loss - am going to try for half stone in next 4 weeks when I may (fingers crossed) ovulate!!

But TTC sure does suck (when it's not happening!!)

ljg72 · 11/05/2010 10:36

Hello Everybody! Hope all is well?...I was due AF saturday...started testing Thursday with early test...all BFN.
Tested again yesterday, and got a faint pink line...So treated myself to a clearblue digital, and got a BFP!!!!, early days but so pleased, hope it's a sticky one X

daisyj · 13/05/2010 13:32

Ooh, 2 BFPs! Congratulations Parker, and ljg72 (here's hope for us oldies - I'll be 38 next month, too!).

So CD 28 here. I tested with FR yesterday (I know, v. naughty) and it was a BFN. But I really don't hold much store by that, as I had a BFN on an FR test with my 13 mo dd on CD30 - can't think why I tested except it was there. I've now bought Boots cheapies, to stop me testing till at least Sunday.

Setting myself up for disappointment again, I know, but I do think this might be my month. Had what felt like an implantation cramp on Monday, kind of 5-second 'grippy' feeling just like I've had the other two times I've been pg. Also feeling a bit queasy and lightheaded, and sick if I don't eat as soon as I get peckish...

Right, I'll stop babbling and try not to obssess any more (ha ha).

Bicnod - sorry it didn't work out last month. Fingers crossed for you for this one - expect you're bd'ing like mad right about now!

Bicnod · 14/05/2010 07:19

Oooooh - ljg72 CONGRATULATIONS! That's fantastic news

Daisyj - keeping fingers crossed for you. Yep, you're right, we're bd'ing every other day without fail this month. This is our fifth month TTC - really hope I get lucky this time around.

ljg72 · 14/05/2010 08:43

thanks Bicnod!...thats what we did...JS every other day! as ovulation sticks showed no ovulation??? just shows they are not very accurate!...best of look

TheDiceGirl · 14/05/2010 10:06

why haven't i seen this thread before?! I must have wasted around £30 on tests this month. This month has been the most confusing ever though, just over a week ago i bled for 2 days and that was it. And a few days ago i had a pink discharge (sorry tmi) that lasted about a day. And yesterday i had hiccups about 4 times. I really have no idea what's going on or when to test
