Hi girlies! hope all is well?...well AF arrived today only a week late!!! how much did I spend POAS!!!.
Oh well kinda glad it finally came, at least I can enjoy trying again next month .
How did you get on WLL? best of luck to you and all.
Enjoy the sunshine

loopylou2 · 11/04/2010 19:21

Waiting is the worst part of this ttc malarkey. I'm only 3 days into my 2ww and just dying to test already! I have magically convinced myself that any baby I conceive will be sooooo special that they will immediately make their presence known by whatever means possible, including hpt. I'm nuts

This is our first month back on the ttc bandwagon after a missed mc. and for some reason this month everywhere I turn has been a pregnant lady, a baby food advert or a magazine advert for Clearblue.

But it's been very nice to read this whole thread and get some tips on how to survive the waiting game. so thanks everyone!

wish me luck xx

Wholelottalove · 11/04/2010 19:36

ljg sorry AF showed up hon, how frustrating after it being late. It's horrible when it feels like our bodies are playing tricks on us. Hope you're enjoying the lovely weekend and kicking back with a glass of wine.

Well I tested Friday which was the day AF due and it was a BFP! Did another one that evening and line still there. Really happy and excited, think it is just about sinking in now. Really glad I waited this month, was great to see a positive test.

loopylou2 good luck for yur cycle, hope the 2ww doesn't drag too much for you.

ljg72 · 11/04/2010 19:46

Congrats WLL!!!!!! thats fantastic news! well done you...please keep in touch!!! XX.
Loopylou...lovely to meet you, so sorry for your loss...heres to a BFT very soon! The very best of luck.
Went to visit my 3 day old nephew today...OMG how lovely!.

Bicnod · 12/04/2010 07:28

Woweeeeeee - congratulations WLL that's wonderful news - yes, definitely let us know how you get one.

ljg, sorry for your AF showing up and loopy nice to meet you - fingers crossed it's our month this month...

Wholelottalove · 12/04/2010 13:23

Thanks ljg and Bicnod. Fingers crossed next month is your month both of you. It's been really nice to be able to chat to people on here especially during 2ww drag.

I'm fine, still such early days but I'm rubbish at keeping things to myself so some of close family know. Feeling more tired than usual, but no sickness as such yet. I did buy another set of test and POAS again this morning just for reassurance really but I think I need to believe it and stop wasting my money now.

ljg72 · 12/04/2010 14:38

Thanks WLL...I'm sure we will all give it our best shot this month!!!(note to self-less wine more nookie)and hopefully catch you up...lovely news about your BFP...and re doing tests is what we all do isn't it LOL, I did 6 with my first DD.
Good luck and keep us posted X

LittleSilver · 13/04/2010 08:04

OK, can someone tell me if I just poas way too early? AF due Thurs but have reasonably short lp (11 days), so I peed 10DPO with FMU. BFN, but am I still in do you think? Temps still above coverline.

daisyj · 13/04/2010 13:20

Ooh, I need this thread! Can I join you please? I'm am in the midst of testing hell. I need to have some sense knocked into me! Just skimmed parts of the thread and I see Bicnod is here .

I need to step away from the tests because... CD27: First Response, negative. CD31: First Response, very faint positive, then mid-morning, Clearblue digital, 'Not Pregnant'. This morning (CD32), Boots test, negative; then 11 am in the loos at work, First Response, very faint positive. I know, I know. Stop it. Now. Arrghhh. I am the world's most impatient person, so I just can't leave it alone.

LittleSilver · 13/04/2010 20:15

daisyj sounds very positive when did you ov? You know that CB digis are less sensitive (I think!)?

Bicnod · 13/04/2010 22:04

daisy!!! haven't seen you in ages - how are you? can you believe our babies are growing up is that why we're both on this thread

does sound remarkably like you're pregnant lovely - a line is a line and all that. maybe wait until thursday (haha - as if i'd be able to) then test again with first morning wee? will be keeping fingers crossed for you.

LS - keeping fingers crossed for you too.

daisyj · 14/04/2010 13:55

Hi LittleSilver - Well, if it helps I tested CD30 with dd and it was negative, CD34 was a nice strong positive. I don't really know when I ov, though, so don't know how many days po that was, but I reckon you should wait till the end of the week and test again.

I am starting to think I might ov late, though. I don't really do temping and I've never been very consistent using ov sticks, but I seem to remember it being around day 16 that I got a smiley face (or it may even have been day 18) with a Clearblue ov test before I fell pg with dd.

I'm really suspecting a chemical pg, though. I had a negative Boots test this morning, so basically the only tests that have shown positive have been the FR ones. I think they are the most sensitive, though, like you say, LS. But they should be getting darker, shouldn't they? And the one I did yesterday was just as faint as the one on Monday.

So, I have one FR test left, which I'm going to use on Sunday (CD37), if I can hold out that long and if AF hasn't arrived.

Bicnod - I know, I can't believe I'm so broody when dd is only a year old. I think it's because she's been such a good sleeper since six months that I've forgotten the no-sleep hell of the first few months . What's your excuse?

Bicnod · 16/04/2010 17:55

Well DaisyJ? Any news? Still holding out until Sunday?

O not a great sleeper (improving slowly) but I'm still desperately wanting number 2. Glutton for punishment clearly

daisyj · 18/04/2010 21:22

hi Bicnod - sadly big fat AF arrived on Friday night - 6 days late, so I'm pretty sure it was a chemical pg after those two faint positives I got with the First Response tests.

I don't know about being a glutton for punishment, but there's got to be some sense in getting the sleepless nights, nappies, etc., out of the way in as short a space of time as possible, I reckon .

What cd are you on now?

Any news from LittleSilver?

Bicnod · 19/04/2010 15:00

Oh boo poor you - fingers crossed for this month. You must have been so hopeful after the FR positives

I'm now on CD17 - I reckon I ovulated either saturday or sunday so just starting 2WW. I hate this part.

Definitely agree with getting all the sleepless nights/nappy stuff done in one go. Also, we think we want 3 so got to get cracking!

Awwww, it's lovely to be chatting with a Spring Mum again

Parker23 · 25/04/2010 22:50

Hi all, can I join in too? I need the support!

I'm on CD24 of a 26-31 day cycle. So I'm well into the dreaded 2ww. I'm 34, been TTC for 14 months now for baby no. 1 and had one early mc in January.

Driving myself round the bend spotting possible symptoms. I flip between being totally convinced I'm pregnant to being sure my AF is about to start. Sometimes changing my mind several times an hour!

I've spend months and lots of money testing too early. It's torture because if you get a negative it still doesn't dispel the hope so you're no better off and about £7 down!

I'm going to try to wait till at least Wednesday before I cave. Hopefully my DH will manage to help me wait till Saturday if it hasn't already arrived before then. Thing is he gets as impatient as I do sometimes!

Well, nice to meet you all. I look forward to jibbering like a mad woman about phantom dizzy spells and late night PT urges!

squishy · 26/04/2010 08:20

Hi, can I join, too please? Don't know the lingo - no idea about CD and AF, think I've worked out CM , have been TTC since October properly but August before then - had a number of 6 week cycles, a 3, 5 and 8 week cycle - GP says that I have OK LH and FSH in blood and recent ultrasound looked like I may have one poly-cystic ovary.

I have NO idea about temperature taking - what's that about?

I've been quite good, only bought one test since we started and then the disappointment was so huge, have decided to leave it longer - each time I've got excited and thought 'this is it', I've made myself wait another 4-5 days and got my period in between

Last week was 4th week in cycle (the one that GP told me to have regular sex in!) managed about 3 times and then my back went and can't face it since - not good, especially on such a long cycle!

I have a 3.5 yo who is desperate for a sibling.

Will read more of the thread when I get home from work; hope to pick up some tips!!

bossyboop · 27/04/2010 10:01

Hello, can i join in? Got one test left so hold me down ladies so i dont use it! After reading lots of stories on threads i totally get that I should wait until at least the day af is due if not a few days later, I do find af arriving easier to deal with than bfn. I feel quite calm so far as only 8 dpo cd20, so another week to go minimum. Still think about it all the time, check the calendar several times a day, count my days and chart my 'symptoms'!

ttc #2 cd20 8dpo C1

Bicnod · 27/04/2010 12:52

Hi Parker - we're both CD25 today. I'm holding off testing until Saturday (when AF is due) if I can. ARghhhhhhhh. I hate 2ww.

Squishy - CD is cycle date (so number of days since first day of your last period) and AF stands for Aunt Flo - MN speak for period. This should help with the acronyms.

Bossyboop - I've only got one test left as well. Was very tempted this morning but would be stooooopid as only 11(ish)dpo.

I don't think I'm pg this month though just indulged in far too much chocolate to console myself in advance.

Parker23 · 27/04/2010 16:43

Me too Bicnod! I have to admit, although I hadn't admitted it because I felt like I was tempting fate or something, but I really did think I was pg this month.

However in the last 24hrs I've really gone the other way and fully expect AF to arrive very soon!

Just don't feel the same as before and woke up this morning feeling really hot and sweaty which is a common sign with me that I'm due on any day.

Still getting a few twinges but not convinced they're anything but AF cramps. Also getting my appetite back so I suspect the nausea and weird taste in mouth was down to the 24hr bug I had last Thursday.

Trying to prepare myself for the imminent arrival but I just know I'll be devastated again. Think of the positives! Think of the positives!...sigh

bossyboop · 27/04/2010 18:04

arrrggggggghhhhhhhhh! Just got the test out the box...tho was just to see what colour the dye was tho was quite tempted to use it when i read that it could detect as early as 7dpo in some cases, but ladies I thought about this thread the entire time and resisted knowing even if i was pregnant then it probs wouldnt show up yet so big thank you to this thread! Im going to attempt to wait for af, failing that wait till cd35, but not feeling any real vibes tbh

tiffs · 27/04/2010 18:12

Hi all

Can I join please? I have been ttc for the last 9 mnths, i have spent lots of money on tests. I was never like this with my dd - did not even test until went to dr with what i thought was a uti!

I am one full week away from my af and having to hold myself back from the pg tests sitting in my bathroom.

xxx

Bicnod · 27/04/2010 19:04

Well done bossyboop. It's so hard not to test isn't it? The only reason I haven't yet is because I've only got one left! Also, arrival of AF is much less depressing than a BFN.

Parker - I'm devastated every month as well I've been using ovulation sticks and I think I know when I ovulate but I don't seem to get EWCM ( at TMI) so don't even know if I'm functioning correctly. Boo hiss to 2ww.

Tiffs welcome. We can all hold eachother back from the tests. I wasn't like this with DS either, mainly because he was a surprise - definitely a less stressful way of conceiving!

squishy · 27/04/2010 21:58

Thanks Bicnod, that makes sense now - what's dpo?!

Am now one (ish) week from AF if 'normal' 6 week cycle - having spent months taking folic acid, seem to be unable to remember daily now - is this bad?!?!

Bicnod · 28/04/2010 06:54

dpo = days post ovulation

I am sporadic in my folic acid consumption as well. I try not to leave it out in too public a place as it says 'pregnancy folic acid' all over the box (thanks boots) and don't want anyone to see it... but this means I often forget to take it.
