So a slightly lighter and less scary thread for those who are chucking away the pills and the condoms and hoping for the best!

Hi folks & welcome to the new folks!

Well, went to see friends today with adorable 1 yr old. Thought I was ok with just 'let's see & if it happens, then great' but has just reasserted how much I want one. Now obsessing, been reading up on OV test kits-must stop obsessing...

Need to up the JSing... & pronto!

Grannyapple · 25/04/2010 23:02

Hey pipp same bloody thing happened to me this morning-not amused, tho DH does not know that!

Not sure now whether to tell him that OV kicks in this week, as now think it might put pressure on him?!

takethatlady · 26/04/2010 08:27

Hey GrannyAp, my vote is don't tell him - it'll probably make it worse. Instead, get on some kinky underwear, or whatever makes him tick, and get JSing! At the moment I'm treating my DH like he's permanently turning me on, which is working a treat I think he thinks he's a love god at the moment (which of course he is!) and so there's no chance of him bailing on me!

BrassicaBabe · 26/04/2010 09:03

Morning and welcome new folks.

Yep, we've had the non "event" shag once or twice too

My mid-cycle bleeding seems to be in the "light" category. More then spotting, but less than full on AF. No need for tampon, mild cramping and lasts a day or two. The same as last month. Being an old goat of 37 I think I might make an appt to see the Doc.

Off for a meeting, catch up later...

williamsmummy1986 · 26/04/2010 09:21

Hi all,
I think my husband is to observant for his own good - he's totally clocked what I'm up to when I make a move, last night he was "too tired" - I didn't know men used that excuse lol ;-) or maybe he's not observant and it's got more to do with the fact that in the last 11 months since William came along he can count on two hands the number of times we've just shagged! oops!

RedNinaBlue · 26/04/2010 16:58

When this thread gets the "most active" status, are they referring to the JSing action?

Back on topic: I think I'm putting my husband under undue pressure by gleefully mentionning ovulation signs and the like. I think I will (try and) keep my mouth shut now so we can both JS with gay abandon.

gormers · 26/04/2010 18:03

RedNina - I'm not sure that type of JSing ever results in conception!! ;-)

BrassicaBabe · 26/04/2010 18:09

at gormers

BrassicaBabe · 26/04/2010 18:13

...and I've got GP appt for Thursday. Will someone stop me googling "ovulation bleeding"?!

The reasons for mid-cycle bleeding are somewhere between normal and a sign that one's insides are about to drop out!

takethat I'm going to move from copious wine to moderate wine and cake!

frakkinnuts · 26/04/2010 19:06

Everyone stop stressing and have sex.

goes to take own advice

Actually I came on for a reason - I feel all puffy and weepy. This is not normal PMT for me but I don't feel nauseous and I'm due tomorrow. My boobs really hurt too... Yes? No? Maybe?

gormers · 26/04/2010 21:31

Ooh, hope so frakkin!!

Talking of weepy, I've just shed a few tears at the end of glee! For me it's not symptom spotting - think i'm just over emotional!

BrassicaBabe · 27/04/2010 09:41

I'm going to have to evict myself from the JSing thread at this rate of mentalness!

How long until you can test frakkin?

takethatlady · 27/04/2010 10:24

After we both sobbed at Up! the other day, I caught my DH crying at a John Lewis advert in which a woman's life is apparently shown - she goes to uni, gets married, has babies, grows old, or something, and this was enough to set him off. So the mentalness is catching!

Frakkin that is SO exciting - don't keep us in suspense!

frakkinnuts · 27/04/2010 11:43

Well this morning says no...BUT it was a cheapie test and I'm due on today so maybe tomorrow? Is that testing obsessively to do it daily?

gormers · 27/04/2010 11:44

Can't believe it - I shed a tear at that john lewis advert too! Was going to post it on here, but then was too embarressed - thought, no that's just too sad!! Now I see I'm in good company!

takethatlady · 27/04/2010 17:37

"frakkinnuts* I say go for it. I still haven't seen this advert myself - I can tell I'm going to have to steel myself when I do! At least the fact that my DH cries at these things is confirmation that it's not pregnancy hormones making us cry

pipistrello · 27/04/2010 19:06

I cried! And then found it on YouTube and cried again. Hmmm.

PinkFondantFancy · 27/04/2010 21:22

Hello ladies! Good luck for tomorrow frakkin! No news here but have been doing a lot of JS! DH was actually relieved when I worked late tonight I'm going to look for this advert on you tube now!

frakkinnuts · 28/04/2010 16:53

Still no

But no AF.

TBH after this month we haven't exactly been at it like bunnies and I was a moody, moody cow right when I think I ovulated so if we did then it would have been conceived on about day 8? (I know, we're not counting)

BrassicaBabe · 28/04/2010 20:07

There's time yet frakkin. Kepp us posted.

I'm off to the GP tomorrow. Hopefully they will have some soothing words and I'll be back to JSing.

takethatlady · 29/04/2010 08:20

Good luck today BB - I'm sure all will be fine.

I've been out every bloomin' night this week but have managed the odd S... back to more of a hectic JS routine from now, I think!

BrassicaBabe · 29/04/2010 16:12

Hiya

Well I'm back from the GP.

I've got to go back tomorrow for LH, FSH & oestradiol blood tests. Just tests to check for hormone levels. DP can go in for a deposit in a cup if he feels the need too apparently.

Strangely I feel better than I have done for a couple of days. Much calmer. At least they are looking into things.

Can I stay with you guys JSing even though tests are being done?!

BB

pipistrello · 29/04/2010 19:32

We would be miserable without you! What are the separate tests for exactly? I don't understand the initials.

Glad you're feeling happier, though.

BrassicaBabe · 29/04/2010 19:51

Lutenising hormone, follicle stimulation hormones, oestrogen and progesterone are the various test I think. They just want to work out if I'm ovulating or not.

I was googling like mad before GP appt, but now it's in hand I'm happy to get back to JSing. So while I have tests on-going I think I'm true to the ethos of the thread

takethatlady · 29/04/2010 19:52

Definitely stay BrassicaBabe! Not obsessing over charts and temperatures is one thing, ignoring our health would be another! Like you say, it's better to know and be able to deal with anything than stick your head in the sand. Even if there is something up it's probably totally fixable.
