Hey lovely people

I've just come off the October bus and because of my long cycles my spreadsheet says that I skip November and would be due in December.

So I thought I'd start the December bus.

Here's the start of the stats - looking forward to some friends hopping on board soon.

hello decaf and aries

bus seems a bit quiet last few days. all ok?

TeaFan · 05/03/2010 17:48

Hi mumatron I was thinking the same! I am on CD10 today and haven't SWI yet because i'm really stressed at work and have fallen asleep early the last couple of nights Wouldn't normally be a big deal as I don't OV until about day 14 but i've had EWCM last couple of days which seems to have gone and I normally only get it for 2-3 days I would be very surprised if I have OV already but if I have we may have missed the window.

Having said all that not going to worry about it too much, will be nice to feel like I am doing it for fun for once and EWCM could come back yet and make a surprise baby

mumatron · 05/03/2010 19:58

hi tea im sure you haven't ov'd yet. stress and tiredness does very funny things to our bodies.

cd 17 and still swi as much as poss. still feeling a bit drained after a stupidly long af last month. very tired and crampy.

this is going to be a very long 2ww me thinks.....

TTC#1 Cycle 10 UCL 35 CD37

Morning everyone

Well still no BFP or AF but confirmed this morning that I am now ovulating thanks to cool wee fertility microscope I purchased last week so will now be SWI for next week!

Don't know what has happened to me this month must have skipped a few weeks for some reason.

Now will have the dreaded TWW again, thought I had past that this month.

Hope everyone is doing ok and having nice wend? I am going to take full advantage of my situation and go out with DH tonight and get well and truly pissed!

PinkiePoo · 06/03/2010 12:40

Boba....love your style, me and the OH have decided to not despair tonight at the arrival of my AF last night, but go and celebrate still being able to have a few drinkie poos instead. Every cloud and all that....

*except for once in my life i would prefer to be of the pregnant, sober kind

nuttysquirrel · 06/03/2010 22:27

Thats the BIG advantage of AF arriving...........a glass of wine!

decafgirl · 06/03/2010 22:34

Hi ladies, pleased to see I'm not the only one partaking in a medicinal glass of wine!

How beneficial do you think it would be to totally cut out booze and caffeine once AF has gone? I know I'm only on cycle 3 but ttc my DS is starting to haunt me - I don't want to miss a trick! xxx

Ariesgirl · 06/03/2010 22:40

Speaking for myself the stress of cutting out completely would negate any benefit! I'm down to two cups of tea a day and a few glasses as opposed to bottles of wine a week. And the effect of lots of alcohol on sperm is apparently as significant so you could do a pact.

decafgirl · 06/03/2010 22:52

It'll not be easy that's for sure; when we were ttc#1 I drank coffee and the decaf stuff tasted much the same but after the pregnancy I'd turned into a tea monster and the decaf tea is vile!

Am now on the hunt for the best ov tests that MN recommends....! Oh the thrills of more sticks to pee on! x

lucygrif · 07/03/2010 09:17

hi guys, just thouht i'd pop in to ask your advice.
i am currently on CD 42 ish although i have had very light bleeding since thursday.
just got a very faint positive on a Boots test has anyone had their hopes dashed with these tests in the past? DP can clearly see a line even though its much fainter than the other one....

boba82 · 07/03/2010 10:24

hi lucygrif I have done a LOT of POAS in last 10 months and only ever got one positive on a clear blue test. DH could see it too but every other test was BFN and obv didn't end up pregnant.

Having said that I think that a false positive is quite rare so I would do another test today and maybe repeat in few days to see if stronger?

Hope you keep getting the BFNs!

boba82 · 07/03/2010 10:28

decafgirl I would really recommend this fertility microscope I got. You put sample of saliva and the pattern changes when you are ovulating. It's only size of a lipstick and t's much easier than trying to read the ov sticks.

This is first cycle I've been able to 100% confirm I'm ovulating which may not be a good thing as I am now silly excited and have turned into a sex pest!

mumatron · 07/03/2010 10:49

good morning all.

pinkie sorry af got you, hope you dont have too much of a hangover!

nutty sorry about your mc. it is a crap thing to happen but you find loads of support on here.

boba where did you get that microscope thing? very interesting. i know i ovulate on a regular basis but there are some months when i dont get any symptoms atall.

decaf im sure cutting out alchol will have very little effect on ttc. unless you are drinking way too much on a regular basis. i think being relaxed and happy is probably better for you. and i know a few bottles glasses of wine helps sometimes!

lucygrif best thing to do is test again in a few days so if line gets darker. or see you gp, try and get a blood test done? fingers crossed it is a defo bfp for you.

sorry if i have missed any one!

well, i have spent all morning researching ivf clinics. hopefully my next pg will stick and i wont need to go down that route, but at least i feel like im doing something.

not brave enough to update the list. no doubt i will mess it up!

boba82 · 07/03/2010 11:32

mumatron Got it from www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk was about £18. I'm very impressed with it.

lucybrad · 07/03/2010 17:18

i have used a saliva ov monitor last month and im not convinced it works properly.

You see I had one day ewcm on day 8-9 and i had af on day 24, however I had ferning on days 16, 17 and 18 - with no cervical mucous at all, and a neg ov stick. If i had ov'd on day 16 then i wouldnt have had af till day 30 ish because of the luteal phase. I am convinced that the ewcm was the correct predictor not the saliva, but I will continue it this month and see.

I wish that I could temp but im up most of the night as i dot sleep well, so thats pointless.

Im hoping that this is lucky 7 cycle and i get a december baby like me!

PinkiePoo · 07/03/2010 18:53

mumatron - no hangover for me....a couple of guiness' and bed time for me. Tired from all this SWI. At least AF gives me a bit of a break!!

Try and pop to hospital tomorrow to get my bloods done to see if my irregular AF's is due to hormonal imbalance or PCOS.....Fingers crossed its nothing!!!

Anyone seeing any signs of symptoms yet??

decafgirl · 07/03/2010 19:19

Thanks for the advice ladies, bought some clearblue digital opks today (they were on offer in Tesco!) so will see how that goes.

As for the booze/caffeine thing, I think I'm clutching at straws really. I average about 2 glasses of wine a week and have about 3 cups of tea a day max. I just want this to work so much (and I know I'm not alone on here) I'm prepared to do anything if it helps at all.

Can't believe it's sunday night already - where do our weekends go?! I work full time and have a 2.6 yr old DS. Maybe work/life balance is where I need to start...

xxx

CatherineEarnshaw · 07/03/2010 21:56
