UCL is your usual cycle length and CD is cycle day u are on today. Your first day of ur period is day 1

digitalgirl · 02/03/2010 19:17

cazzr it takes men 3 months to produce sperm, so his lifestyle and food intake now will affect his sperm quality in 3 months time. However, eating superfoods like Brazil Nuts (high in selenium) and walnuts (high in omega three) is very good for being happy. And happy men like having sex. And that is really what it boils down to.

A good zinc source is cashew nuts. Which is important for sperm quality. There are zinc food lists you can find on the web but I find it easier to persuade my dh to snack on nuts. It's pub food. They don't feel like they're eating anything weird on purpose.

Anyway. I believe I am on the 2.5ww. No more ewcm. And cervix is definitely firm and pointy. I'll be glad when I don't have to search for that every morning.

Period due sometime in the week after next. I will not test until the weekend after it's late. Might be the only one left on the bus by then!

PurpleHeffalump · 02/03/2010 19:19

Wonder whether DH will be home sometime this evening??? And even if he is, will he just want to go to sleep???

This would have been so much easier in the good old days of twice-a-day-just-for-fun!

Was due today or yesterday and AF not here yet. But am no way optimistic - Did a pg test on Sat and got a BFN - it was a first response which are meant to be quite good, so I don't hold up much hope. And have cramps today. Do people get increased CM the day their AF is due? Shame because (a) I REALLY want to get pregnant and (b) DP said if we conceived on Valentines day he (who is in charge of naming number 2 - aaagh) would have a Valentine themed middle name. Any ideas on that one, if in the remote chance I might be preg... Romeo ? Good luck to all others waiting x

mumofzac · 02/03/2010 19:56

Just to add - the baby, not the partner (with the Valentine themed name)

luckyseven · 02/03/2010 20:03

Does anyone else go into an unexplained and often unstoppable bad mood around ov time? I usually have a sunny disposition but have had to have a serious word with myself to go to my happy place for my two peak days on the CBFM. Since stopping the pill I have become a right moody cow!

floweringcurrant · 02/03/2010 21:01

Just checking in... haven't read back through posts yet. Hope everyone is holding up.
Lucky seven -yes me! awful mood swings. I get very weepy just before ovulation and then afterwards the mood lifts and I feel great. My GP said it was probably oestrogen related and that going back on the pill would probably regulate it. Not the most helpful advice when you are TTC!
Can be very distressing, I try to recognise it is a pattern. Exercise might help.

LadyBee · 02/03/2010 21:37

hello mumofzac we're in the same situation, I was due yesterday or today too but thought I felt the first stirrings of cramps just as I sat down to dinner tonight so am also not feeling optimistic.
This is no doubt because I sent DH off to buy some tests on his way home, so law of sod means AF will arrive in another hour or so.

By the way, I've seen some people on here refer to AF as the droid - huh? can someone explain that one?

Have announced my feelings of imminent AF to DH and he's bringing me tea and biscuits. He said some lovely things the other when I mentioned me dreading another babyfail month - made me promise not to use the words 'fail' and said it's not a race nor a test. He's v sane, my DH.

LadyBee · 02/03/2010 21:38

that would be 'the other day'

bunnygirl80 · 02/03/2010 22:15

luckyseven I always get really snappy around ov time. I'm worse then than with PMT! Poor DH gets very confused as one minute I'm shouting at him and then 10 minutes later I'm trying to seduce him!

I also spots like when I was a teenager. It's a shame they can't invent a pill that will regualte mood, keep my skin clear, ensure AF arrives like clockwork but also allow TTC

decafgirl · 03/03/2010 08:40

temperature took a nosedive this morning; from 36.55 yesterday (making me rather hopeful) to 36.27 this morning. Just a waiting game for AF now...

DH being a total arse as well xx

Cazzr · 03/03/2010 09:12

Digitalgirl: Thanks for info. Good news is we both like nuts anyway especially cashews so fingers crossed this has had the desired effect on his swimmers!
So far DH's mood for swi has been very positive despite the fact we are getting our house ready to sell!
Nothing like doing it all at the same time. We actually completed on our house 2 days before my DS was born, heh!
Seems house buying and baby making are linked for us!

Having not seriously ttc since before Christmas I can already feel my hysteria rising and thoughts of 'failing to concieve' are haunting me!
DS was a one time shot (not planned but very appreciated) so it seems wierd to now be having to make a concious effort!

Anyway babydust and chocolate for all, sadly no chocolate for me tho as I gave it up for lent! Insane, moi?!

Nanny01 · 03/03/2010 11:35

Have to agree, I tend to start to get very anxious 24-48 hours just before af arrieves. How ever we are having a better baby making month apart from mil who added she didn't want any more grand children; opps better not tell her we are ttc for no.5

bunnygirl80 yes being snappy and seductive do not go hand in hand - dh said to me last night "you do realise we have to stop huffing with each other if we are going to do it" my moods and his work stress are not the most condusive to babymaking

LadyBee · 03/03/2010 20:02

erm, ok, for all my whinging on about no symptoms and not great timing, this morning I decided that after no AF turning up last night I may as well test with one of the Sainsbury's tests that DH picked up. And I got a clear BFP!

Now have a weird sense of being in limbo. It's so early, I have no symptoms and I don't "feel" pregnant, so am not feeling hugely optimistic about it all. Still have put myself into grads as it was a definite +ve and I may as well think good thoughts until something happens.

Decafgirl, sorry to hear about temp dip...Mumofzac, any news from you?

Huge congrats LadyBee, I was just thinking how lovely your dh's comment on it not being a race and not allowing "Fail" in the vocabulary was and you only go and WIN!!! Well done.

Congrats ladyBee , if it's any consulation my last 4 pregancies I had no symptoms other than af not appearing for a month they they crept up on me slowly. Each pregnancy is differnt try not to worry. Ass for me I am starting my 2ww as my monitor says my peaks have been now.

MmmCoffee · 04/03/2010 11:35

Congrats ladybee

AF arrived so I'm off to the December bus.

LadyBee · 04/03/2010 12:11

Thanks ladies, I'm trying to remember what happened with DS and I seem to recall not having much in the way of MS, I did get very nauseous but only threw up once, I think that was from about week 7, so I'll just sit tight and keep everything crossed.

Sorry to hear about AF MmmCoffee.

I'll probably still hang out here for while - too scared to venture into the pregnancy board just yet.
