C'mon girls, this is the year. We will form a circle and concentrate hard on diffment.

Meanwhile, David and Jenson have popped the corks and are pouring out the Bellinis. Truckle of stilton anyone?

OP posts:
Ocarina · 19/01/2010 19:08

Hmmmm, don't want to give too much away (that paranoid thing again, why on earth anyone who knows me would be reading this I've no idea). Is there a way for me to tell you without telling the rest of the world if you see what I mean?

And hello MrsGazebo

That pregnancy by withdrawal thing is worrying.... As is the "my boyfriend's a Catholic so we shouldn't be having sex but we can't restrain ourselves so we're having unprotected sex, but he's not allowed to use certain kinds of contraception, but pregnant outside marriage would be a disaster".

Ocarina · 19/01/2010 19:09

Sorry, first bit of that was to Curly (not that I mind telling the rest of you where I am either, just not all the lurkers!)

Medee · 19/01/2010 19:19

hello! Properly caught up with the new thread. Hurrah for
Bessie's updiffment, and welcome to eadyweady

CurlyCasper · 19/01/2010 19:29

oc so that means you're not in one of the big cities then. hmmmm I'm a proper west coaster (as in not Glasgow, the actual coast, wiv islands an' all that shiz). It's quite a big area, so I don't think you'd give anything away if you said you were there. But you're prolly not there anyhoo.

Good answers gazza! welcome. After dinner drinks anyone?

ChoChoSan · 19/01/2010 20:19

I think it might be helpful if we post the BESH questionnaire on the 'withdrawal method' thread...might get to the bottom of where that laydee's understanding of babymaking comes from...perhaps we could start with some winky/foofoo advice?

Bessie123 · 19/01/2010 20:36

JESUS CHRIST, WILL YOU ALL PLEASE LOOK AT THE FUCKING MUMSNET FILM?

PLEASE

rollerbaby · 19/01/2010 20:43

Hurrah to |Bessie. You clever ole thing. Now what are you ranting hormonally about??

Just met our new cleaner and showed her round my nooks and crannies. Have you ever tried negotiating with a pole with a very loose grasp of English language? She was impressive actually and got an extra quid an hour out of me.

Hello gazza. Alex Reid? Explain yourself.

Scorpette · 19/01/2010 21:11

Hey, VAG and Cassie, was rereading the fred and noticed you mentioned 'trickly discharge' as a sign of your updiff. Is this a common thing and is it another thing for those of us still TTC to give ourselves more crazy about?

rollerbaby · 19/01/2010 21:18

muser soz about droidage by the way. Do you need a fat lip?

MrsGazebo · 19/01/2010 21:24

Alex Reid, who or why or both!
He's famous now don't cha know.
That's not the reason though.
Who: Orange skinned, Rocky-esqe, Jordan loving, cross dressing, cage fighting, fame seeking, fick as pig shit hunk of muscles what is on "Celebrity" Big Brother.
Why: He looks easily led and full of stamina.
Anywho's I tried to cross him out and put Derren Brown.

Can't look at mumsnet film > Mr.G has commandeered the lap top and my iPod fingy won't let me.
What am I missing?
What do you call your respective other halves?
DP, DH, makes me want to chew off my own fist.

CurlyCasper · 19/01/2010 21:28

scorps it wasn't a sign at the start for me, but increased discharge is normal in pregnancy, and apparently gets heavier as the weeks go by as your body works hard to keep your vag and cervix clean for birth or summat. I'm certainly noticing it. Feels like FFJ in my pants all the time!

Mumsnet film is dire. Nuff said. (FFS - How to give yourself a ponytail haircut!?!)

Medee · 19/01/2010 22:10

where does one find said film.

My husband is usually MrM or MrMedee on here.

Ocarina · 19/01/2010 22:42

Curly I'm plenty further east. Have lived in the two big cities and am now in neither. Don't really know the west coast all that well although have done the trip over to Dunoon and beyond a few times. tis a gorgeous part of the world once you get out of the really dull bits.

Bessie which Mumsnet film? I seem to have found lots here and here and can't bear to watch them all to find out all the problems I'm going to have to solve in years to come!

skihorse · 19/01/2010 22:48

Ocarina I was born in Perth but my family is Moray - we've lived furthermore in rural Perthsire, Dundee, Aberdeen (obv.), Peterheid (glamma) and Shetland. I wins the most furtherly north speaking Norse dialect prize!

Oh there really are some cunts on AIBU. Thick as mince cunts at that.

Muser · 19/01/2010 22:52

I went to uni in Aberdeen, great city.

skihorse · 19/01/2010 22:54

I was the first member of my family not to go there - I wanted to break away... So I enrolled far, far away (like 400 miles away). One year later my sister started my uni. Six months after that my parents bought a house 40 minutes away.

Muser · 19/01/2010 23:03

I ran 400 miles to Aberdeen! Nobody came to join me, although my dad now lives near Inverness.

Also, ski is very naughty for making that thread. Love it.

Ocarina · 19/01/2010 23:31

Wow ski, Peterhead, what excitement! Shetland sounds pretty cool though - it's on my list of places to visit, preferably for Up Helly Aa cos I'm a pyromaniac type.

Aberdeen's too close to the in-laws for my liking! And too far from all my family. Muser did you stay up that way?

skihorse · 20/01/2010 05:48

Ocarina Up Helly Ah - well, you'll either love it or you'll hate it. If you're deciding to stay sober it might not be for you. If you want to drink for 24 hours straight and eat "reested mutton"(salted fatty lamb) get in. I must admit I hated living there at the time - imagine a 13 year old girl dragged away from London and sent to the islands... but recently I've wanted to go back to experience the scenery again which is these incredible glacier carved valleys. I used to bunk off school and go and look for seals at the beach. I have some land up in Morayshire should I ever need plan b).

ocarina I know how to live I do... (Peterhead) - although tbf I was just a baby. Mum said it was so cold there would be frost around the edge of the moses basket from my breath. Awesome haha.

Please to send me butteries?

skihorse · 20/01/2010 05:58

... and mealy pudding in batter?

Muser · 20/01/2010 08:14

Ocarina I didn't stay up. Another Sarf East Londoner now.

Ocarina · 20/01/2010 08:19

I can see why being uprooted to a far flung island at 13 might not be great.... Great skiving activity though!

Never seen butteries round here I don't think, you'll have to wait till we're next off to the in-laws. Mealy pudding I have no idea about.....

TwinkleToes76 · 20/01/2010 09:43

Received my booking-in and 12 week scan appointment this morning. FUCKING CUNTING CUNTS!

Ski what is this butteries of which you speak?

Welcome Gazzer

ginhag · 20/01/2010 09:53

Aw twinks. you know my opinion on that from a couple of pages back. Is fucking shit. Backslaps from me. And tequila,as it's a Wednesday.

gaz i knew derren at uni. I am speshul.

Am back home from That London. Had to dismantle n load stand into van...got home 10pm last night,am fucking knackered. Was proper ace seeing lacunty and camelicious (though they may not feel the same, specially cunty who couldn't really drink more than 2 bottles of gin cos of,you know, the baybee n that)

skihorse · 20/01/2010 09:54

twinkletoes Butteries are a north-east Scottish delicacy. The last time I was sent a packet the ingredients were listed as lard, flour and salt. They're kind of like squashed salty croissants and they're a piece of heaven.

Ocarina Funny, it was from Sarf East Lahndun to Shetland I went. Mealy pudding - hmm, what might you call it? White pudding? But vegetarian, with oatmeal, onion and spices? I've had it as far north as Shetland but not further west than about Huntley I don't think.
