Late period, cramping and slight pain on right side - help please

Hello

For about 7 months my periods were all over the place but they have been regular (33 day cycles) since June this year. This month though I am 3 days late. I took a test a couple of days ago but it was negative. I doubt I am pregnant as I do not have sore boobs or nausea but I do have period like cramps every now and again. I wonder if I might have a cyst on my right ovary though as I have felt a dull pain like sensation when dh and I have bd'd the last couple of times. I have had the blood tests, hsg and vaginal scan to check for pcos. That was a couple of months ago.

I was wondering if anyone had experienced a similar thing and had any advice please?

If it is a dermoid cyst rather than a fluid-filled one it could be growing rapidly and that may be a bit painful. But one of the reasons for rapid growth is a surge of hormones like you get in pregnancy... have you tried testing again?

keep testing!

I had no symptoms other than cramping - i actually thought my period was starting. Give it another week and if still neg see a doc if you are worried. Some people don't get positive tests till well after missed period.

Thank you very much Bessie123 and CurlyCasper. Ah.....if only I could get a positive. I have not tested again. I shall retest after the week has gone, so maybe on Boxing Day. I do feel as if I have period cramping but I had that anyway when my periods were out of sync and did not get a period so I do not have high hopes. Plus, as I say I do not have the boob pain really or nausea. Anyway, I shall hold out until Boxing Day and we shall see.

good morning my name is jo am 28 and mother to 3 daughters 7,5,2 i was steralised after my youngest daughter my periods have been really heavy since being steralised with alot of blood clots sorry to be crude but i am now 9 days late my tummy is all bloated and swollen also am constantly tired all the time at the moment i was meant to start my cycle on the 25th sep i am having spotting but only after ive been for a wee this has been for over a week now no other cramping pains like i normally have when am about to start am so confused and advice i would appreciate cant get an app with my gp til next week

Welcome to MN. You have resurrected an old thread from last year, whereas I think it might be a better idea for you to start a new thread for your post as it will probably get lost in here. Maybe post it in general health too??
I have no experience of sterilisation but by the sounds of it I think the GP is the best person to advise you, as isn't it very unlikely to be pregnancy if you were sterilised so long ago?

Hi there girlies I wonder if you could answer my question..since my teens I have had an irregular cycle had check-ups doctors said it was just the way I was. My mum said she had the same thing before she had my sisters and I. I came off the pill end of June, got one period CD 55 and now I'm still waiting for another period..I'm suffering really bad cramps and no period.

On CD 56 which was a couple of days ago I could have sworn I came on sorry for the TMI but I saw bright red blood on a tissue then nothing...that day I had really bad cramps. The other day I couldn't sleep because I felt so sick all night. Now I'm suffering lower back pain and excruciating cramps. I'm sleeping A LOT during the day and I don't usually but somehow I don't think I'm pregnant because I tested after I saw the blood. I'm so confused. Any advice would be greatly appreciated xxx

Hi girls, this is my first day on this so don't really know how it works... please someone help me. Just came off microgen 30 in Dec and have been ttc from then. My last period came on the 28th day but only lasted one day, my next period is now 7 days late I have took a test every day and all negative. This morning I have a wee bit off Brown spotting not enough for a tampon r pad. Have just started taking bad pain in my left ovary. Is there a chance I could still be pregnant?? I really hope so 🙏🏻🙏🏻
