anyone used pre-see and did it work for you ? Or is it just another con marvellously marketed product that doesn't work ?

watching this with interest as I just bought some Preseed and am planning to use it when we start TTC in December - am not producing much CM at all, I think due to being on the pill for a long time.

also had thoughts about how to insert it similar to earplugs - can you do it subtly or will I have to dash to loo mid-seduction and dash back with legs clamped?

amelied · 27/10/2009 10:49

Day 17 ...drumming my fingers still waiting on the postie!

Maybe just give up on this month!

MrsPigeon · 27/10/2009 17:34

not sure if this is too late for you now amelied, or too unpleasant a prospect, but I have read in a few places that a raw egg is a good substitute for EWCM/ Preseed - you're supposed to let it reach room temp before using and 'be careful of salmonella', although how you can do that without cooking it I'm not sure, and I guess cooking it would defeat the purpose!

InTheZenGarden · 27/10/2009 18:35

Sorry, but at the thought of cooking the egg white!

Awful image of foreplay involving a fried egg!

amelied · 27/10/2009 20:41

Thanks MrsPigeon for the tip - I'm not too sure about the egg white - after 4 years of trying I think my DH would think I have lost the plot ...

Tried for over a year for DS then conceived 1st month of using preseed. DS" was conceived 2nd month of preseed.

amelied · 08/12/2009 23:19

Just a follow up on this one.

We used the preseed this month (once it eventually arrived after the postal strike) and I got a BFP last Friday. We were 4 weeks from starting IVF.

Maybe a coincidence but I think it helped us - highly recommended!!!!

tiredfeet · 08/12/2009 23:53

that's lovely news , might have to go and purchase a pack then!

congratulations!

tiredfeet · 08/12/2009 23:54

oh can I ask a dim question? where do you buy it from? I did a google search but was finding it hard to figure out which sites were worth using

amelied · 09/12/2009 10:14

Hi Tiredfeet

Thank you - it is extremely early days for me and I have been here 3 times before and havent got past the ten mark stage.

I got the preseed from access diagnostics.
They are a bit slow to send over a week (it didnt help that mine got stuck in the postal strike either).

Good luck to you!

amelied · 09/12/2009 10:15

oh, Tiredfeet the one I was recommended on here was the pack that gives you the individual applicators - that seems to make a difference.

tiredfeet · 09/12/2009 19:58

oh I'm sorry you've been through that - fingers crossed it will all go well for you this time.

thanks for the info!

Loujalou · 09/12/2009 20:06

Maybe its worth getting if the dreaded period comes. I have tried Zestica but am still not pregnant.

Earplugs · 09/12/2009 22:33

Congrats amelied, what brilliant news! I hope all works out well for you.

I don't think I've quite got the hang of how much of the stuff I should be using but I'll keep trying. Did you use an entire applicator at a time?

The only downside for me was that I ended up getting thrush after using it . Don't know if it was caused by using this or would have ended up getting it anyway.

Still, trying to keep chin up and fingers crossed we all have a bit of luck soon.

amelied · 10/12/2009 09:17

Many thanks Earplug

I got the one that contains a tube (like toothpast tube) and 3 syringe type applicators.

They suggest you fill the applicator with 3ml of the preseed.

Bit fiddly but in my case definately worth it.

I wish all of you good luck xxx

amelied · 10/12/2009 09:19

mousemole · 20/12/2009 13:22

gosh I should of added to this that it worked for me as well ! Got a BFP first month after months of trying. I definitely recommend it !

Hello, this is my first post - trust me to choose one about lubrication as my first! We had been trying properly for one cycle and I fell pregnant - about 5 weeks now, so early days. We used Preseed - didn't use the applicators but just applied to ourselves. It really helped and meant we could keep up the constant BD'ing. Also I would recommend accupuncture - I had three sessions, one the day before I ovulated (I had been on the pill for years so was lucky that we guessed the right day). Good luck!
