anyone used pre-see and did it work for you ? Or is it just another con marvellously marketed product that doesn't work ?

Yes worked for me! I produce very little ewcm so I think this may have done the trick.

Preseed comes packaged in two different forms. Either one can buy a pack of 6 small tubes for individual application, or one can buy a large tube with 8 syringe-like applicators. I would definitely use the latter as the gel can be inserted more deeply and as close as possible to the cervix.

Best of luck

mousemole · 15/10/2009 18:26

thanks babybom - since dc2 I have definitely produced less ewcm. I don't notice much on my underwear compared to a few years ago. So, it has to be worth a try- thanks for the top on the applicators.

I ordered some pre-seed over the weekend and it just arrived today! I went for the tube with applicators, rather than separate tubes.

Not had a chance to use it yet, but I'm hoping it'll do the trick for me this month. [crosses fingers] I don't produce a whole lot of CM, probably because I seem to barely drink anything. So hopefully it'll give me the edge I need for that coveted BFP!

I'll report back...in a month.

JugularPiggy · 15/10/2009 18:50

I have ds snuggled up next to me after I used pressed and a clear blue monitor

we had even been referred for secondary infertility and were looking into IUI when i fell pg and it was the first month using the monitor and preseed.

we used the individual applicators as well for the reasons babyboom listed. Maybe worth a go if you are fairly sure of when you are ovulating in the month?

DailyFail · 15/10/2009 18:59

I reckon it did. I was on Clomid and still had no joy, until the cycle we used pre-seed. I never had EWCM either, so thought i would give it a shot. I found out i was pg at 9dpo.

My Daughter is 11 months old now!

I think its bloody good stuff!

babyboom1979 · 15/10/2009 19:13

Like JugularPiggy, I also used the clearblue monitor along with the preseed. Fell pregnant first month with early miscarriage, waited for a period and then fell pregnant again next cycle (also using monitor).

Best of luck!

lucybrad · 15/10/2009 19:56

ohhh preseed sounds like really good stuff then im ordering some!!!

FanjolinaJolie · 15/10/2009 20:00

Just ordered it this week.

We are TTC no3 and I think I have less EWCM than I did six years ago when I fell pg with DD1.

spirael try to drink more water as this will increase your EWCM.

Just ordered some there after reading this.

On my #6 (and final round) of Clomid this month and clasping at straws!

good luck everyone...

mousemole · 15/10/2009 21:48

oooh getting quite excited now.... Technically, I should have no problems - conceived ds's ( x 2) on cycle 1, have a 29 day cycle and always ovulate on day 14, except this time round, I am on cycle 6 and no joy ( I am 35 so hopefully not too old...). I do quite a lot of exercise and probably don't drink enough..eveno so, CM seems very scant except for AFTER ovulation when there is loads of the the darn stuff and its too bloomin late. I've ordered some off ebay (preseed, not CM !!)and it's the critical time next wed - fri so hopefully it will arrive by then ! Thanks for all the hints and tips and apologies for TMI in places !!

Am considering ordering some if no bfp next week, had a look in boots as well and they have one called Conceive Plus - I don't know if it's a boots brand or not but may give that a go and see. It's £14.99 I think?

mousemole · 16/10/2009 08:19

hi Kaylo . Amazon has loads of it and seems pretty cheap. Am sure the Boots one is v.similar though

OP posts:
earplugs · 16/10/2009 14:19

I've bought the conceive plus from boots as well after doing a bit of research online and going to give it a go this month.

TMI warning: I didn't actually consider 'inserting it up there' and was thinking more about 'applying it' to DH Think maybe I'll stop off at boots on the way home for a syringe now!

girlwithacurl · 16/10/2009 15:22

I used pre-seed once and got PG first time (after over a year of trying). Unfortunatly it ended up being ectopic. but still at least the blighters reached the finish line. Agree with "inserting"...

kkas · 16/10/2009 15:25

I have bought the conceive plus too and have been 'applying' it to DH. I think I produce enough CM but he always feels the need to lub up (Way TMI coming up) but could this because he has never been circumcised? He says he needs to be really slippery or it is not comfortable. Anyway, he seems happy with the conceive plus for now and since I'm only on cycle 3 so far (very early days), we will give it a few months before we change tactics.

earplugs · 16/10/2009 15:45

Just out of interest if someone was considering 'inserting' how much do you think you should use? Just tried to look up how much is in the pre seed applicators but it doesn't seem to say anywhere?

FanjolinaJolie · 16/10/2009 15:55

I have the pre-filled individual applicators and they look like they contain quite a bit, and that is for one single use. I think I'll use half or so, I know you can't re-use it for hygiene reasons.

Am slightly worried about using too much and having it 'gush' out and too much lube. (Another TMI altert here...) Sometimes DH loses the lead in his pencil if there is too much lube, something about not enough friction/grip etc.

Maybe I have bucket fanjo from DD's 1 and 2? [hmmm]

Earplugs actually, on closer inspection it doesn't look that much. Perhaps 1 - 1.5 teaspoons or so.

earplugs · 16/10/2009 16:19

Lol bucket fanjo Fangolina! Don't think mine is exactly what it used to be either!

Thanks for the info, am also slightly concerned about the consequences of using too much, least of all the state of the bedsheets! I suppose its a bit of trial and error.

Also still a bit puzzled about how I'm going to get it up there and make it back to the bed without it running down my legs! Pretty sure this is something that DH would not want to see just before my big seduction routine!

fifitot · 16/10/2009 16:37

At the end of the day it is only a lubricant that is sperm friendly. It can't really do much more than lubricate you. It just allows you to use a lubricant without damaging the sperm.

I have used it and got pg but I probably would have done without it. There are no magic potions! Unfortunately!

Loujalou · 16/10/2009 18:18

Or there is Zestica. We have to use lube as hubby finds it uncomfortable otherwise, so we were recommended Zestica. Seems to be a bit better value for money and similar to pre seed.

FanjolinaJolie · 17/10/2009 18:08

fifitot - exactly, it is only a lubricant, not 'get pregnant' in a tube.

And if you have sufficient CM/arousal fluid at the right time in the month you won't need to use a lubricant.

But if you're a bit 'dry' you might as well opt for a lube which is going to encourage those little spermies instead of putting a brick wall in front of them with KY or similar.

mousemole · 17/10/2009 19:55

I think I am a 'bit dry'

amelied · 25/10/2009 10:31

Day 15 for me and I think my pre-seed is in a pile of parcels, stuck in the postal strike ...

ScaryLoujalou · 25/10/2009 12:13

Along with my basal thermometer and I am on day 1!
