I may not feel like this in the morning!

But after months of not sure-isms I've decided to go for it.

It's now or never.
(I should add that Dh is thrilled).

I had one at 40 and 1 at 43 (almost 44). It's great.

If you are both happy about it - go for it.

Dh has fallen asleep on the sofa !
Not a good start.

I was first pg at 25, I think it will be very different if I manage it this time.

I had no 5 at 40, was fab. We are ttc#6 and I am now 43.

Good luck to you all, it will be great for all sorts of different reasons to your first.

No, only worry is it's taking much longer, tis a year now, had early mc at xmas last year but nothing since

dd almost 15
ds 12
ds 6
dd 4
dd terrible 2

They are great, watching my eldest dd play with the youngest today was lovely.

What era your concerns? Preg? Coping?

Lovely gaps with yours Liahgen.
mine are 12,11 and 3.
had 2 MCs after dc3.

Have kidney infections and prem labour with last. But Dr told me that next time I would be on prophylactic antibiotics. thats fine by me.

I worry about not having enough time for my gorgeous elder 2 dds. You know; to take them out into town, spoil them a little and gossip about boys etc. The moments I have with them are so precious.
Also, although they are always nagging us to have a 4th as they enjoy ds so much,DDs are very kind and help so much with the 3yr old. I worry that they'll be consumed with babies in the house.

Does that make any sense?

Absolutely makes sense.

About now, I am really enjoying my older ones. They have a crap absent father, I have remarried and the 3 youngest are his so I try to make an effort with the big uns.

SOmetimes it is a juggling act but it's doable. 2 for 1's at ciname and things like that are great, sometime s we get a sitter and go out for a pizza just with big kids. And of course they do things without us too, which is nice for them, and also nice for us to spend time with the littlies doing little stuff.

Cinema! Exactly. I find that really hard. and enormous guilt about inability to take them to late finishing clubs like Guides/ athletics as Ds should be in bed, or I drag him out in his PJs to collect them from a school disco etc.

Or ice skating. Impossible with 3 yr old let alone baby.
DH works away most weeks so I struggle on. They are amazingly helpful though as I said.Not quite as absent as yours though.

However, I try really hard to find ways for us all to have fun together despite the age gap, and sometimes we have the most fantastic of simple family outings.
Watching eldest dd (soon13) playing on the swings and chasing her littlest sibling thru the park filled me with happy tears last saturday.I knew most of her mates were n town buying earrings!
My sister and Mother think I should not have more.

Don't tempt me to try for dc5 i'm 42 now and would love another toddler but not sure about the pregnancy or baby, the birth is no hassle, last one was at home in 55mins but the pregnancy is awful with hyperemisis. I have dds 14 and 13 and dss 7 and 4 and had a msc nearly 2 years ago.I'm also a cm so spend my days looking after other peoples toddlers wishing they were mine and I didn't have to work.

Hi Lavenderkate, I am 41 and trying for dc4 too. I have ds1 6, dd nearly 5, and ds2 is 18 months.

If you want you would be very welcome on the ttc#4 thread, where admittedly several are already pregnant with number 4 (or had number4 or 5) but there are a couple of us still aiming for number 4.
this is the thread for ttc#4-ers There are some there with larger age gaps and dealing with teens and younger children too.

Hope that it happens quickly for you.

My friend is a Mwife and I asked her the same the other day.
She said absolutely not and she has lots like us on her books. Good to hear.

I have a friend with 3 but no one I know has 4! I am one of three so would like more than one child.
