I may not feel like this in the morning!

But after months of not sure-isms I've decided to go for it.

It's now or never.
(I should add that Dh is thrilled).

lavender, I think we may have parallel lives!!! I am 40 next year and we have just decided to go for number 4 my dp works away all week too so just conceiving should be difficult enough!! We have 3 dds, 9, 6 and 1. I know exactly what you mean about worrying about the impact on oldest, at the moment I drag the little one out at past her bedtime to collect from brownies, etc, the thought of doing this with 2 little ones is a bit worrying but she is so transportable and so used to it I guess we will cope (if I do fall). I love the relationship they all have at the moment but I do think one more little one will be even better (my eldest two have such a wonderful relationship that I want the little one to, in an ideal world, have a sibling that she can be really close to too).
Good luck!

So pleased to see this thread! I'm 40 next year and DH and I are dithering about going for number 3. Heart says yes yes yes but head says no for lots of reasons. (One of which is that DH has MS, the first six months with both DDs was nightmarish for everyone because I had appalling PND, I've just started a big new job (I'm the breadwinner), we haven't got the space, can't afford months of me on SMP...) BUT... I don't want to look back and regret not going for it. Aargh!

Btw my Mum had me at 42, and my aunt had her third at 42...
