Zayja - I was doing a bit of reading too. Agree with Evening primrose oil till ov. I also read that nettle tea till ov then grapefruit juice. The other thing is raspberry leaf tea till ov.
Again this is lovely advice for the 'norm' who can pinpoint ovulation. The rest of us are stabbing in the dark. My DH is tons lighter than me!

I'm thinking that maybe I need to do feng sui in the bedroom so thats my google plans today. Taken it very slow so far as my sinuses are still swollen & blocked!

Clure got my fingers crossed hon. Writting this while you are sitting at the hosp. Hope they are running on time! Hope you ain't caught this horrible cold!

Jo hope those symptoms are leading to a bfp rather than af that I got!

gosh fairy your cold/flu is just going on and on, poor you. have you done the good old head and towel over a bowl of hot water with something menthol in? Staying off dairy might help too?

Well, I have 2 small follicles, hence the lack of twinging and cm. I have to go back on Wednesday to see how they've grown. I am now learning just how random it is being on clomid - no 2 months the same! Does anyone else find this? I think they will just put me on another 3 months clomid but I will ask if they would do IUI after that. Not that I'm panicking or anything!

ven I crashed big time this month, I think its alot to do with christmas as well, January is always a bit of a let down. I do think as well that with events like christmas you think 'how nice it would be to be pregnant at....'.

stac somehow i have lost 7lb in the last 2 weeks, but it must be water cos I haven't been that good. I'm sure then next two weeks won't be the same! I've decided when I go down a jeans size I'm giving my old clothes away. If I have nothing big to wear then hopefully I'll be good lol! Or naked!

clure thinking of you , hoping its going well.

zayja chicken soup is really good for your blood and by default your womb lining, according to my acupuncturist but she means the proper stuff you make from chicken stock not a tin

Hi Jo I don't have much dairy as my family has history of intolerance. Butter on my toast is the most I have. lol.
Lol. Also love your clothes statement!

I am on CD12 and like last month i have had some watery brown discharge.. what is it and does it mean i haven't ovulated? I'm so anxious as this was my third month on clomid (1st month nothing happened like this but i did think i had ovulated - last month when i also had brown discharge i had no sign of ovulation)... HELP... i only have 2 months worth at 50mg left or if i decide to go up 1 month at 100mg (self prescribing as left over from first time TTC).

hi all

just checking in. Had my appointment, initially felt very frustrated as saw yet another registrar. Constantly feel like there's no continuity, being told one thing by consultant then another by various registrars. Anyway we ended up having a chat with the fertility nurse/sister who was lovely and felt like we got some proper straight advice.
We stated this is what we want: not to use donor eggs but to go private for a proper set of tests and screening to see if my own eggs would be viable, if the percentage of success rate is too small we would have to try to accept this and be grateful for our lovely DD who is a gift.
So she has recommended Guys fertility unit, she said given my age and high FSH it would be my best bet. We are going to contact them and arrange to put the wheels in motion for investigations. Keep you posted ladies!!
I now have a stinking cold and the beginnings of a sore throat and swollen glands and feel rubbish.

Anyway thanks for all your lovely well wishes once again.
Fairy - we can be there for each other, hope you are feeling a bit better?
pinkali - could it be an implantation bleed? If you are concerned it might be worth mentioning it to your GP or fertility clinic, chances are its nothing to worry about.
zaya I'm a big fan of Marilyn Glennville and Zita West books. think you are right about drinking more water - that's one of my resolutions (not done as well as hoped yet) Also as fairy said, grapefruit (I hate the stuff!)
jobo well done on the weight loss, giving away your clothes is a big motivator

hi stac are you starting to show yet?

hi to the rest of you lovely ladies hope you are well. I'm debating whether a session at bodypump will make me feel better or worse

tonnes of muscly pumping babydust xx

stac14 · 18/01/2010 18:41

Hey clure how are you feeling? Are you happy to be referred on? I have actually lost weight due to morning sickness, its not being sick its the constant feeling sick, have to force myself to eat which is a nightmare. Have told dp if my appetite doesnt pick up soon then I will contact my gp

fairy is your flu any better*jo thats fab news about weightloss

zaya I used the evening primrose oil until cd12 but to be honest I was rubbish about remembering when to take it. As the ladies say there are loads of things you can use for cm, there is also a lubricant called pre-seed that you can use.

pink have you asked your doc about the discharge?

hey to everyone else, how are you all? xx

Hi there ladies.

I have only just found this new thread.......been wondering where everyone had gone too. I wrote on the other thread a few times but most of all I just read what your all talkinging about( because im poo at all this writing thingy lol) and I find it all so helpful and I dont feel so alone...........its took me days to read all 74 pages and see there is a couple of BFP on here. WELL DONE x

Ive been on clomid for 6 mth now( last 2mth 100mg) but just had one month off....it was knocking me off my feet.....was just what I needed too because I thought I was going crazzzzzzzzy hehehehe.
At the moment im cd 23 but really do feel like my af is very near.Whilst been on the clomid ive been having a 32/33 day cyc. Had really really sore boobs now for almost 2 weeks now (driving me mad)just wondering if this is because I didnt take tabs in December? has anyone else felt like their boobs are going to drop off for this long?
Got my appointment with the con on Monday and im so worried that he is going to say 'sorry cant do anything else to help' and I jsut dont know what I want to ask him..............feel so brain dead these days lol
Anyway hope your all well, take care.

Hi clure i know how you feel about seeing registrar after registrar and conflicting opinions,it drives me mad!!As you said some continuity would be lovely. How you feeling about your appointment? now you've had time to think about it all. I had that cold most of last week, only just feeling ok today!
Its great that you and fairy have each other to talk to. A great support for each other
zaya i drank the grapefruit juice for a couple of months-it gave me horrendous heartburn
Well done jo thats fab! I need to get my backside into gear.
Hi Deb everyone is lovely here. Im on my 6th month of clomid and when they increased my dose to 100mg (month 2)my boobs were so uncomfortable. I was convinced i was pg, unfortunately i wasn't Hopefully its a good sign for you though

Hi to everyone else

Fairygodmother1 · 18/01/2010 20:35

Welcome Deb, I'm with popsy on the boob thing. Mine felt very bruised this month & thought I'd get my bfp but af arrived instead!!! Hope it's a good sign for you

Stac better than I was but now feel like I have the lungs of a 90 year old. Still all in my nose & throat. Voice is going.

Aww Clure think you caught my cold/flu. I've been lucky that 2/3 visits to cons I've seen the head man! I hoipe Guys is the place for you & you know where I am for a chat. Plus we're gonna have to come up with some sort of code at school! lol.

Pink if it's not implantation bleed then maybe talk to GP or fert cons to just check it out & give piece of mind.

How's everyone else? There's sooooooo many people on here now!

I've been learning to crochet today...

Chinese baby dusy (had Kung pow chicken hoping it'd blast the cold)

jobobpip08 · 18/01/2010 20:50

clure
glad you got some sensible info, even if it wasn't from who you expected! Guys does sound like a good place to start.

fairy good on you learning to crochet -its not so hard once you get into it. I was crocheting a hat over the weekend, I followed the pattern, right sized hook, I'm half way through and the bl**dy thing is never going to fit on my head (and my head is small!). So going away to mutter in a corner and then find a new pattern! Never heard of kung pow chicken - sounds a bit lethal!

pink the only other thing I can think of, and by the sounds of it there is not enough blood, is polyps which can bleed mid-cycle. Defo get it checked out just to be sure.

tons of babydust as there is so many of us now!

Hi Ladies,

"feng sui" eh? Is THAT what they call it now fairy I think it's a lovely idea serene=sexy

jobo, I've just started clomid this month and they want to do IUI straightaway. Not sure my schedule will permit, but I suppose the sooner the better if it will be successful. Just ready to be PREGO!

pink, I'd say call to check if everything's ok unless you'll be "busted" for self prescribing?

clure that sounds like good news that you can move forward on. How soon will you be able to have an appt.?

stac, have tried preseed but may go out n get me another tube.

Take care all
Hot fudge sundae (sounds good while dieting) baby dust to you all (dust certainly can NOT be fattening)!!!

Clure · 18/01/2010 22:32

just calling into say hi

stac, popsy, jobo, zayja - I am feeling a little more positive in that I have a bit of a plan whereas I seemed to be suspended in limbo-land (or la-la land more like!) Going to have another look at the website and maybe try to contact the fertility nurse at my local hosp and see if she can suggest any other tests they could do on nhs (bloods/hormones etc) that I haven't already had done which would be useful for when I get an appointment. Then got to find a number to ring and hopefully an appoinment will follow soon.

stac - a colleage last year had morning sickness so bad she had to take sick leave till her maternity leave started (not that I'm saying you are THAT bad) but she did say acupuncture helped plus wearing the seabands that you have been doing. Tried ginger?

welcone Deb everyone is very supportive here. Whatever stage you are at with fertility treatment, however pants you're feeling someone on here can offer support, help advice or just a cyber ear to rant at!

Fairy - will you be off tomorrow? sounds like you got a fair old dose of som'at nasty. I'm planning to go in but not sure if my throat/voice will stand up to a whole day of singing! you take care

made it to bodypump and actually felt better after pumping some iron, though feel very snotty now and am retiring to bed

Fairygodmother1 · 19/01/2010 10:06

Morning Ladies,

Clure I'll be back Thurs but you wont be in. This morning I have a sore throat & still a bit breathless. ust feel like I want it to be spring & a clear fresh start.

Can anyone help. The Cons said to get swabs done at GP as I had af at my appointment. It dawned on me at midnight (couldn't sleep) that I'm not sure what to say to GP as to what the Cons wants. I was just gonna go to GP & say i need swabs done for IVF but they wouldn't have a clue what I need...

I wanna get the swabs done soon so I can get back to BDing!

How is everyone?

Feng Shui or sui or however you spell it was interesting. We need to unblock the front door (check the only down side is my front door leads out onto the pavement & thats bad apparently...nothing I can do about it except move), put an elephant with trunk down in bedroom (?), a dragon on DH side of the bed (I have a dragon candle, will that do?), 2 fish picture (?), clear everything out from under the bed & hoover then don't hoover again till you've given birth (ooh what an excuse!!! I shall get DH to hoover under there today).

Ice cream & hot chocolate fudge sauce baby dust (I'm going with if it's dust it's only fattening in the baby sense)

Fairygodmother1 · 19/01/2010 10:22

Ok booked my swab for Monday afternoon...now how long before to I need to abstain from BDing???

xxx

jobobpip08 · 19/01/2010 11:38

fairy thats just what I'm doing - knitting little squares which I'll crochet together. Much easier than trying to do one big blanket! No idea on the swab, sorry.

zayja if they are offering IUI I would make your schedule fit!! Don't miss any chances!

clure glad you're feeling a bit more in control. It makes a big difference.

stac yes, ginger is supposed to be good, but real ginger as ginger biscuits don't count! Unless you just fancy a ginger biscuit.....

I've had a midwife friend come round today and she does hynotherapy - so very positive vibes and saying to myself I WILL get pregnant. She is a great believer in positive thought.

So, positively absolutely we'll all get pregnant babydust xxx

stac14 · 19/01/2010 13:11

jo i did hypnotherapy, dp thinks i should go do it again try to destress. As i must admit my anxiety levels have been quite high, gp thinks its because of hormones and the fact its a long awaited baby, no kidding sherlock lol do they do ginger tea or something? Not sure how to eat ginger unless its a biscuit

clure still using the seabands, must be honest i was concerned that not eating much would affect baby but gp says just to eat as much as i can when i can. Glad your a bit more settled hun. Do you have flu to?

fairy hope your feeling better soon, nothing worse than being loaded. Like the feng shui idea.

How are the rest of you ladies today?

OP posts:
Fairygodmother1 · 19/01/2010 14:21

Stac yes there is ginger tea (good for pcos & low GI diet). It's usually got lemon with it & ok if having 1 cup a day. I understand about anxiety. I'm sure I'll be the same. Those 9 months aint gonna come quick enough, I'm impatient at the best of times.

Jo Hypnotherapy also sounds like a fantastic idea. Thats the thing about not being at work - your mind wanders & your stress levels go up.

Hi everyone else
xxx

stac14 · 19/01/2010 16:07

fairy thanks for info bout tea, will pop out to get it tomorrow. I suffered from anxiety on and off since DS was born but have been fine for the past 2 years, so it was a bit of a shock when it came back during pregnancy. I'm sure it will calm down soon. Take it your looking forward to getting back to work?

OP posts:
Fairygodmother1 · 19/01/2010 17:07

I don't know Stac, I love my job but with everything else going on I'm enjoying chilling out at home.

I started having panic attacks when I was about 21 (little did I know that it was prob the start of PCOS). I went to a neurologist & everything cos I was also having major migranes. They never diagnosed what it was. The panic attacks came back a few years ago but seemed to calm down till the first month of clomid. I've been fine with the clomid since.

The tea is made by twinnings. So should be easily available, but sometimes the supermarket do their own brand.

Venetia2 · 19/01/2010 17:27

Hi all,

So many messages since I was last on here.

Hope everyone is doing OK. Starting Clomid again tonight, feeling more positive again today, despite the fact they aren't supposed to do any more monitoring after the first month of Clomid they have decided to get me to have another scan next week, so here we go again.

I can't remember who asked me, but my IUI is probably going to be March (might be earlier) the meeting about it is mid fec and then you get called back to have it.

Stac-ginger comes in bottles in syrup in supermarkets or crystallised in sugar (probably also in supermarkets)-both are quire strong so you'd probably only want to eat a tiny bit! I have had the tea before too, thatfairy mentioned, if you like ginger its quite nice (I liked it anyway).

Hello to everyone else, there are so many of us mow I can't write all the names, for fear of leaving someone out!

Chocolate ice cream flavour baby dust.......

Clure · 19/01/2010 18:15

hi,

stac - try not to worry too much, I was told baby gets all it needs from the mother, you;ll probably feel like crap but the baby will be ok as it leeches all the goodness it need to grow and develop.

fairy - swabs I had done were chlamydia. The practise nurse was useless and had 3 attempts before they were sent a satisfactory sample. Its nothing to worry about, in fact I was given the kit and did it myself - like swizzling round a tampon, put it in a pot and pop it in the post. Glad you feeling bit better.

jobo - good that you being positive

ven - brilliant that you are being monitored, I feel frustrated at the lack of monitoring I have been offered ( that is - NONE) Good also you have chance at IUI.

I have been feeling pretty lousy today, really full of cold. Been taking echinacea, I also should be BDing but last night felt so rubbish that we didn't. DH home later - see it he's up for it (they never turn it down though do they )

hot toast n marmite babydust xxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 19/01/2010 18:35

Hi Clure Thanks, after much googling I managed to narrow it down to this. I had the swabs done on my first app with cons. It was all clear then so no reason for it to be different now!!! I'm going for no BDing from Sat-Mon! Hope I don't ov early then!

xxx

jobobpip08 · 20/01/2010 15:46

stac if you're worrying then its definitely worth give some kind of relaxation therapy a go. you can get CD's these days with relaxation stuff on. Also saw fresh big lumps of ginger straight from the ground in our supermarket. You could grate it on your food or I suppose steep it to make a tea?

clure hope you're feeling better today.

My follicles were big enough today to get a jab, I did ask about IUI but they are reluctant to do it before 6 months, possibly because I haven't had a problem before and now they've got me ovulating they want to see what happens without interfering too much.

'i will get pregnant' babydust xxx

stac14 · 20/01/2010 19:08

go jo fingers crossed for bfp, whats the jab? I have some relaxation stuff, just being silly.

Hows everyone today? Xx
