Fingers crossed Jo for you!!!! What CD are you?

I'm back to work tomorrow but I'm not ready. I'm better in myself (except for not eating properly so my blood sugar level dropped & I had a panic attack). So now shattered & still full of cold. Just can't afford to take time off. Only a couple more weeks till half term...

How's everyone? how you feeling Clure?

popsy1 · 20/01/2010 20:39

Hi all hope you are all well.
Ooh i'm liking cadburys bady dust.

How big and how many follicles did you have JO Fairy just make sure you take care. Could you not take the rest of the week off?

Thankfully my cold seems to have finally shifted
CD36 for me. Not sure whats going on really. I almost feel like i'm ov, altho from my scans that was 2 wks ago

love to all

xx

jobobpip08 · 20/01/2010 21:02

stac the jab is to make me ovulate in 36 hours - is it a hCG? Rather stingy whatever! We seem to get it as standard over here. Luckily DH is getting over his chest infection and should be fit for tomorrow!

fairy cd 14 today. A couple more weeks till half term - have you been in at all this year? (so naughty I know!). And the kids will be full of germs...could you wear a mask?

popsy glad your cold has gone, how you doing? My follicles were 15mm, 20mm and a little 11mm which he hadn't spotted on Monday. The biggest 2 should ovulate, the cons said they look very good (so kind) so I am keeping positive. Its time I did, I have been getting into the habit of thinking it will never happen and you get what you wish for, don't you? So, wishing for a baby to take home.... just one will be fine! Don't want to go mad. Have you tested? As things come in threes and we're still waiting for a third one....

How is everyone else - so many of us these days, what it is to be popular

popsy1 · 20/01/2010 21:12

Hi jo
2 good size follicles, that sounds promising
I haven't tested yet. May do at weekend is AF still hasn't arrived. Its just so close to the 'anniversary' i'm a little scared!

xx

jobobpip08 · 20/01/2010 21:28

popsy totally understand ((( ))) xxxx

Venetia2 · 21/01/2010 12:06

Hi!
Haven't really had a chance to sit and properly read through the last few days, but feel caught up now.

Clure, I'm sorry they aren't offering you monitoring-is it a "policy" they have? Is there any way to challenge it? (After all it would be better for them if you got pg whilst under their clinic, helps their success rates surely? (Not to mention fantastic for you obviously!!!)

Jobo three follicles sounds good, fingers crossed I have some next week.

Stac how is the nausea now? How did the ginger work out?
Fairy hope your first day back at work is OK today.
Popsy glad your cold is gone. We are here to give you support, either way, with the POAS etc. I understand why you are nervous.
Hi everyone else, hope you're all feeling positive.....

Went to a course I am doing yesterday and a friend told me she is pg, after 3 months of trying. Tiny tantrum in the toilet and then carried on as if nothing had happened. She doesn't know what is going on for me, and really I'm pleased for her but apparently the Clomid mood swings combined with the news someone is pg (which makes me a little crazy anyway) isn't great.

Did an hour of cardio today so now feeling on top of the world....at least the mood swings work both ways!

Cadbury's cream egg flavoured baby dust.....

stac14 · 21/01/2010 12:48

{{hugs}} ven i hated hearing how easy it was for everyone else, a friend thought she was pg by accident and i was so mad i cried. Havent managed to get ginger yet. I totally forgot when i went shopping, must be nappy brain lol.

popsy {{hugs}} for you too. Thinking of you and hope your ok

fairy think you and i are in the same gang regarding panic attacks. Hope you haven't had anymore hun. Must be the control freak in us that brings them on, did you go back to school?

clure hows your flu? Hope your feeling better too hun.

jo fantastic, 3 big follicles. Will they monitor your bloods for ovulation? Just as well your hubby is feeling better for the bding ahead lol

Hey to everyone else? How are you all getting on?

Hi all,

Still not well but glad I did go back. Had some news that I'd rather not of heard (and no not Ofsted). Fill you in more when I have more to tell. Lets just say that the stress levels will be rising if it goes tits up & I'm certainly not saying anything about IVF till thats definite!!!!

AAAAARRRRGGGG!!!! Is all I can say!

Clure I hope you are ok.

Stac we are def alike soooo much. lol.

Pops Thinking of you. My little goddaughter will be 1 in a few weeks & her angel brother would have been 2 a few weeks after. Where is the time going?

Jo thats great about the follicles. get BDing hon. I've prob actually only taught about 4 days this term lol. I've been suffereing with this cold for bloody months. Hopefully i finally kick it!

It's DH b'day today so shall be BDing tonight (although am shattered). never know, I might ovulate super early lol.

cadbury's baby dust

Fairygodmother1 · 21/01/2010 19:40

Ven my neighbour is preg after 4 years of trying. Without any help. her DH refused to have any tests done cos he said it wasn't him who had the problem (same as my friends DH said to her) and a couple of months later low & behold she's pg!

Maybe we should get our DHs to say rather rudely to us that it's not their problem & we'll all be preg!!!!!!

It makes me angry when some men are like that & our DHs are at appointments with us & supportive.

Clure · 21/01/2010 22:35

hi all

jobo and popsy - it looks promising for you both!!

ven - i had asked about monitoring but it was a no-no. Shocking really. Its tough hearing pg news isn't it. Heard last week of someone else getting pg - another smack in the face. Good for you doing the exercise it certainly is a mood booster. I did an hour of body combat today (had a twingy back in bed last night so not sure it it was the most sensible exercise to do) anyway back is not hurting anymore than it was last night. Going for my run tomorrow and hoping to do minimum of 12k so I should feel on top of the world!!

hi stac, still have my cold, sneezing whilst typing (mmm must wipe the down the monitor) also woke up with a stiff neck. Am falling to bits

fairy - it was a shock to receive the news at school wasn't it? Like you said not the best time, we are looking at funding ivf investigations. Guess we'll find out for sure next week whats happening. I'm ok, still getting my head around stuff. Going to try to get in touch with Guys and try to get the ball rolling soon.

sorry for being cryptic guys, things up in the air at school at the mo. Well now I had a restless night with a sore back and didn't get an awful lot of sleep so I'm off to bed just now.
quick query - do any of you take your temperature? I can't find my fertility thermometer i used last time and was wondering if my DD's ear thermometer would do?
babydust xxxxxxxxxx

Venetia2 · 22/01/2010 09:51

Thanks for the hug Stac!

Sorry about the stuff at school Clure and Fairy, hope it gets sorted out OK.

Fairy I'm not sure my DH can start being mean now! Poor woman, well at least she got a BFP out of it in the end, must have been stressful before that though....

Clure I briefly tried taking my temp, but discovered I can't remember to do something every morning just after I wake up, and work odd patterns so ended up taking it at lots of different times, figured it wasn't helping me much! I did buy a thermometre from Boots, it was a really accurate one, not sure if you really need it or if I was conned .

I still think we should be having cream egg flavoured baby dust

stac14 · 22/01/2010 14:10

Hope everythings ok at school clure and fairy and it doesnt stress you both out too much. Can't wait till you can tell my natural noseyness has come out lol

clure I never done temps at all as I have an underactive thyroid and my body temp is all over the place at the best of time lol

Hey popsy jo pink millymolly and anyone else I have missed hope your all well, whats the plans for the weekend? xxx

OP posts:
stac14 · 22/01/2010 14:11

ven are you feeling any better today? sometimes just hits us quite hard xx

OP posts:
jobobpip08 · 22/01/2010 14:11

Hi all

Ven definitely hugs for you.

fairy clure hope you're both feeling abit better. clure you need a thermometer that goes to 2 digital places, I don't think an ordinary one does. The temp shift is definitely there but only slight. Mine tends to go up by max .4 of a centigrade after ovulation.

Hope everyone else is ok,

Fairygodmother1 · 22/01/2010 19:28

Hi all,

Yeah I'm like you Stac - hate not quite knowing stuff. A week till we find out...lots of speculating.

Clure I'm thinking about taking my temperature too. Another thing that might be less stabbing in the dark.

Jo the flu/cold is def easing now, just snotty & sore throat.

Hi everyone else. How are you?

popsy1 · 22/01/2010 20:44

Hi Ladies hope you are all well.

Thankfully its the weekend, what a long week!
Fairy and Clure hope all is well at school. I work in a school and its a little unsettled at ours as well. Hope you will both be ok.
ven its always a bit of a blow when i hear people are pg. It doesn't seem to get any easier. Hope you are ok hun

Hows the healthy eating going ladies, i just can't get my head around it!! All kick my ass words gratefully recieved

Mum went into hospital yesterday for a week and haven't been able to visit her as these a bug at the hospital managed to speak to her on the phone though
CD 38 for me, longest cycle i've had since clomid was 39, that was the first month. Not sure what to think really! Do i test? Shall i wait til next weekend?

Fairygodmother1 · 22/01/2010 21:23

Hi Pops - how do you feel about testing? Do you feel you should?

I'm livid! I had 4 bars of cadbury's choc on my chest of draws that I've been keeping till I really need it (crunchy, caramel, dairy bar, and flake). Just got home from mums as I had tea there as DH is going out for b'day drinks with mates (not that we can afford that!!!).
Anyway, just went to put my pjs on & so called DH has only bloody eaten them! All today!
He's left me a bottle of wine (not that I can really drink that) and a boring old big bar of dairy milk (I want my crunchy & caramel) to make up for it but didn't even tell me. Just text him to tell him I'm well annoyed (thats the polite version!)
Can you tell I'm territorial over chocolate & was showing myself how much will power I have!

Do I sound irrational? lol.

xxx

stac14 · 22/01/2010 21:49

no clure you are so right I would have gave dp it in the neck if he had eaten my chocolate lol

popsy can understand why you dont want to test hun, have you thought when you will?

glad the flu is clearing up fairy

i have a fair bit of lower back pain today not sure if its the way i was lying or if i am getting ligament pain, have had pains on and off all the way through but its amazing how you forget it was sore lol watching celebrity big brother, yes I am that sad then its into bed. Quiet weekend for me, thank goodness

What you all up to? xx

OP posts:
Clure · 22/01/2010 21:54

hi,

fairy - thats really naughty of DH (think my DH would do the same though!) still he did leave you with a little something. Just think now you haven't had the extra calories and you can feel virtuous! (she said having scoffed 4 after 8's one after the other cos they are so wafty) Hope you had a better day at school, how's the atmosphere there?

popsy - Think I would have broken any resolve and tested by now but thats just me. Do you have any af/pg symptoms? You should test only when you are ready, keeping everything crossed for you.

how are you stac? Ven? how you doing

jobo - thanks for thermometer advice, will go and check the one in the medicine drawer. Otherwise will have to forage down the basement through piles of crap useful things in boxes and suitcases

Did a 13k run it was a howling wind down on the estuary and raining and it was bloody freezing. Sat in a bath for 15 mins to warm up when I got back. My back is still bit sore but doesn't affect my running. Anyway its cleared out the sniffles
Tomorrow is DD's birthday party. We are having a joint one with a friend's DD who is also 5. We are opting for one of these indoor playcentre. DD is thrilled, so am I as its less preparation/cooking/hiding breakables and your house doesn't look like a tornado has hit it afterwards (just remembering last year with chocolate smeared on beige carpet and beige walls....mmm what was I thinking

haven't got round to calling Guys. Just been looking at website. Bit scared about it to be honest. Head is mashed, I turned up to GP today for a blood pressure check and the appointment is for next friday. Doh!

sorry for waffle
after8 babydust xxxxxxxxxxxx

Fairygodmother1 · 22/01/2010 22:26

Clure the atmopshere was much the same as Thursday but people starting to joke.
Wish DD birthday wishes!
He left me boring choc & wine I'm not supposed to drink (although they do say that babies don't share their mothers blood stream for 6 weeks - plus being really positive that this is my month again).

Kinda putting IVF to back of my mind untill all the scans, swabs & bloods are done. Bloods done, Swab Mon & Scans in the pipeline I guess.

Did some exercise too today - 40 min walk to work & 15 min walk to meet my sister!

Gonna share my dairy milk & Rose wine baby dust

Hi All

Hope you dont mind me joining in, My partner and i have been trying to conceive for 17 months now and still nothing, we have both been tested and everything is ok, ive been on clomid for the last 3 months but was thinking about not taking anymore as dont see the point as the doctor told me that i do ovulate but gave me the clomid to see if it helps.
We go back to the hospital next month but dont know what they will suggest next.

Its been really helpful reading your stories and its nice to know im not on my own.

Fairygodmother1 · 22/01/2010 22:29

Welcome Ladybird. You sound like you'll fit in well here.
Your not alone at all.
