hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday, it started off lovely here, but the sun went on holiday me thinks, cos its dull and threatening to rain now!

Tabs · 30/05/2005 16:02

Hi all - just popping in with a quick hello before popping off to inlaws to share our news.

Weather here hasn't been able to make up its mind all day - nice one minute then a bit overcast the next. Still, not complaining!

Hope all are well. Twiga - no sickness (or other symptoms really!) yet!

Xena · 30/05/2005 17:39

Hi all, I was wondering if what I was experiencing is "normal" I had an ERPC on the 19/5 bled abit lightly for a couple of days but I have started bleeding again today, doens't look like a normal AF? Is it a carry on from the ERPC?? Or have I got an infection??

maddyd · 30/05/2005 18:19

xena i had my eprc on the 15/5 i beled for a few days then a watery bleed a week later for about 3 days and nothing at all since. Is that any help?

Im worried now that im not ovualting at all seen as i have no af.

Xena · 30/05/2005 18:35

Thats what I'm worried about too MaddyD that my cycle is all messed up, I think that I am going to go back to my origianl plan and go on the pill for a month. I know that it doesn't work for all but 3/4 of my pgs were concieved the month after coming of the pill the 4th was the one that took over a year to conceive.

maddyd · 30/05/2005 18:39

I didnt go back on the pill, i feel very messed up at the moment. My body is lying to me

Twiga · 31/05/2005 07:44

Hi all, noticed there have been a few of you wandering about cycles after a mc. My mc all happened naturally without any need for intervention etc but I had three unusual cycles, with the fourth finally being on time and back to what I would expect - it was during the fourth that this wee one was concieved. Anyway it was something which made me anxious and was very frustrating given that we wanted to keep trying etc, so here's a thread I started at the time, hope that the answers I got from various folk are of some use and the it helps with know ing that really after a mc anything can happen/be normal until things settle down, lol x periods after mc

maddyd · 31/05/2005 08:09

Thanks Twiga, yours are similar to mine in the way the bleeding clears up after mc quite quickly then bleeding a about a week later for about 4 days. Thing is ive really had no af since the mc which was assisted with a D&C. Im literally counting the days now, its 47 days. I just want to get back to normal so we can try again. I dont know wether to bother the doctor or not or wether he will say it just takes time.

Xena · 31/05/2005 08:17

Thanks Twiga. I think MaddyD that I feel that until I'm pg again I won't get over the m/c. I'm not saying that one baby can replace another but I want another baby.

Xena · 31/05/2005 08:17

DYKWIM?

Diddle · 31/05/2005 08:45

xena - i know what you mean, i am desperate to be pregnant, not to replace my babies but because i want another one so much.

Won't be on here much going to the sealife centr ein 30 minutes, just getting contacts details for the kids ready and first aid kit, drinks etc.
far too much to take with me.

maddyd · 31/05/2005 08:46

I do xena. I think i will pop to the docs just to see what he says, he may even give me something that could kick start my periods. I cant stand my life being on hold like this

maddyd · 31/05/2005 10:59

Im working but got time to post a joke

An elderly woman from Brooklyn decided to prepare her will and make her
final requests. She told her rabbi she had two final requests.
First, she wanted to be cremated, and second, she wanted her ashes scattered over Bloomingdales. "Bloomingdales?" the rabbi exclaimed. "Why
Bloomingdales?"
"Then I'll be sure my daughters visit me twice a week."

Lottielou · 31/05/2005 11:02

LOL Maddyd - Good one!

maddyd · 31/05/2005 11:15

The nice thing about being senile is you can hide your own Easter eggs.

Just before the funeral services, the undertaker came up to the very elderly widow and asked,
How old was your husband? 98, she replied.
Two years older than me.
So you're 96, the undertaker commented.
She responded, "Hardly worth going home is it?"

Xena · 31/05/2005 11:28

MaddyD

Why is it cold at christmas?

Because is Decemberrrrrrrrrr

Why did the traffic light go red?

You would too if you had to change in the middle of the street!!

As told by DS (7)

Xena · 31/05/2005 11:39

Lottielou I'm OK today Got really upset and angry last night though. I have 2 sisters and a brother my older sister was the person I called after my DH when I had the scan that showed the baby had died, My Mum and Dad called my brother and other sister. My brother and sister in law called and said how sorry they were etc (they live up north we don't see much of them)
My younger sister however hasn't called at all (she lives closet out of everyone to my house and calls about once a week) & last night at about 8.30pm she and her DH and DD were on my doorstep (had just put DC's to bed) Its mine and DH's anniversary today so she was dropping of a card, DH opened the door and I went as well and they just stood there laughing and joking and didn't mention the m/c didn't say they were sorry for what had happened. DH and I weren't saying much they were just laughing and going on about their DD. She is about 28 wks pg so I thought at first maybe she just felt arkward but to say nothing FFS.
I phoned my other sister I was saying that I don't expect everyone to go on about it or feel sorry for me or anything BUT TO NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE IT???

maddyd · 31/05/2005 11:50

Bless him Xena. Give him a from me.

Sorry about your family, some people eh??? I find it the hardest when people dont acknowledge my ms when they clearley know what has happened. My sil had her baby the day of my D&C and she is still to ask me if im ok

Xena · 31/05/2005 12:35

Sorry about rant I'm so cross with her though

Lottielou · 31/05/2005 12:39

Xena - Arghh! How annoying! It is awful when people dont acknowlege it hun. It doesn't make it right but some people dont know how to handle it and what to say for the best. Her way of not saying anything is very distressing for you but try talking to her and ask her why she hasn't mentioned it. It may take one push from you to open the subject up and you may find she will tell you exactly why she hasn't mentioned it. Some people just dont have a clue. It happened to me when i had my m/c so i aksed people not to tread on eggshells and if they had questions to ask me about it not just ignore the hell i had gone through!
x i hope that helps huni x
