Anyone else fancy two weeks of crazed symptom spotting?

Come obssess with me. . . . .evey twinge might be a step closer BFP!!!

So far I am 2 DPO - ready to allow my imagination to run wild and persuande myself that evey new sensation may be a sign. . . .

Hi all, hope you're all well and having lots of lovely symptoms! No change here, continue to have spotting. Did feel very tired and had bit of nausea and dizzyness last few days, but should put this down to being on nights! Quite keen to test but pretty sure it would be a waste, so will impatiently wait to see what happens this week.

Momdeguerre · 07/06/2009 15:12

Not too long for you now - the 12th? How exciting - nights often make me feel rough but it could just as easily be a far more exciting symptom! What do you do?

I really feel like time is just crawling by at the moment! I feel pretty awful today - giddy and sick - this may easily be because I am now on a 12 hr shift and I got less than 5hrs sleep last night after eating a HUGE meal at a dinner party . s always I remain hopeful that it is actually because I am pg - I had terrible morning sickness with DS and, like the way I feel today, it was only alleviated by eating lots of very small snacks/meals.

Still got a while to wait though. . . .am resisting the urge to poas - early pg tests are evil!!!

MaisieBoo · 07/06/2009 16:58

RGN, work mainly nights so should be used to them. Nausea kicked in when I got up this pm too, better after I ate but then I couldn't finish my meal - felt sick again. But there is a bug going round where I live apparently. One good sign, boobs have been sore for over two weeks now and DH agrees they look a bit bigger - even if I'm not pg would love them to stay that way!! But still spotting, 7 days now, only once a day or so when go to loo, not sure if this is a good or bad sign either way.

12hr shifts are nasty when you haven't slept well. Hope it goes quick for you and that your sickness is because you are pg!

Momdeguerre · 07/06/2009 17:09

Again, I am all with the positive - spotting could be a great sign - implantation bleed???

Must admit that I do not love 12 hr shifts - particularly Sundays when everyone seems to have gone out and hit each other with various items or drunk too much or crashed into something etc

Big pg boobs are great - mine were massive last time but at least they balanced out the bump!! Back to normal now but I am certain DH can't wait for the return of huge boobs!

Just wanted to say good luck everyone!

I found out I was pg last bank holiday Monday and a weird thing I noticed in the run up to when my period was due was that my gums bled when I brushed my teeth. They never do normally. Hope that may help some of you

Momdeguerre · 07/06/2009 17:28

Thanks Stumble and best of luck with your pg.

Have not had bleeding gums yet but I will now be paying serious attention to my teeth brushing. . . . .

Momdeguerre do you work in a hospital too, as my night shift pretty much consisted of what you describe!

Asked DH earlier if he thought I should test and he said no. However should add that had MMC in Feb and only started TTC again in April, we said at that time that perhaps before getting our hopes up again I should miss around 3 AF's before testing! Now don't know if I could be that patient!

Stumblebum Congratulations! Love to hear good news

Momdeguerre · 08/06/2009 06:06

I think we work the two halves of a weekend out - I am a police officer! Off to do it all again today.

I struggle to wait 2 weeks let alone 3 months!!! I would go mad!!

I know your DH is right to be cautious and I think it is good that he is there to add a dose of common sense but perhaps 3 months is a tad too far?? Test one day and ultrasound the next?

Sorry to hear youhad a MMC, got to be tough. Understand why that would make you feel more restrained - but - think positive!!!!!!

Today feel sick - this may be the prospect of 12 hours of work but as always, I hope it is baby-to-be!

MaisieBoo · 08/06/2009 08:13

And I'm back on nights tonight! Felt sick this am too, before and after breakfast. Am convinced AF is about to start, but really I'm not even due for a few more days. Hope the 12 hours goes well for you.

shyla01 · 08/06/2009 15:56

can i join you please?
af is due on 16th or there abouts (first af after mc in march so not sure of cycle length)
have convinced myself that have morning sickness already!
good luck to us all this month! x

Momdeguerre · 08/06/2009 16:15

Hi Shyla,
Looks like we are cycle buddies .

I am also feeling bloody awful today - very sick and very tired so I am in total agreement - we defo have morning sickness!!! Mine might also be related to the entire bag of toffee crisp bits that I have munched my way through but I much prefer the thought of MS.

This wait is killing me! Can't believe that in this day and age there is not an even earlier test!!!

Ah well, just a week or so to go (won't stop me testing this weekend )!!

shyla01 · 08/06/2009 16:21

hello! feeling very queasy for last 2 days, although this has not stopped me eating huge amounts of food! very tired slighty dizzy.
i know im not goin to be able to resist testing early.
problem is i've always had positives quite early (at least 6 days before af due) and knowing that makes it so tempting!

Momdeguerre · 08/06/2009 17:02

Lucky you getting early BFPs - I am very !

My last BFP for DS was not till late.

Do you have DC already?

I am soooooo hopeful because I really feel preggo today - giddy and sick which is exactly how my MS was with DS. If not MS then I am definately ill !!

I have those evil early test strips from the internet - got about 40 for £5 and so I am super tempted to start testing already. Terrible!

OP posts:
shyla01 · 08/06/2009 17:26

not lucky me! when you find out so early it makes for a very long pregnancy!
I have 1 ds and 1 dd and have had 3 mc's so have done my fair share of tests over the years! I know I will end up testing before the end of the week. will use the excuse that have a nite out planned on friday (although I will end up using the old 'im on antibiotics' line to avoid drinking even if its a bfn, just in case!)
I have been tempted to get those cheapy tests but i know i will end up doing them on every trip to the loo! not good shyla! must learn to be more patient! x

hoops997 · 08/06/2009 18:47

NewMember · 08/06/2009 19:48

Hi Ladies ...

Can I join please? I am TTC#1 Cycle 3 (CBFM) UCL (24-25) CD 18!

This 2 WW is driving me MAD already - I was hoping to test around the 16th! Totally praying it is my lucky month as its DP birthday on the 18th - what better birthday present could I give him!! Fingers Crossed !!

MaisieBoo · 09/06/2009 09:05

Hi all and welcome to the new people. Just off to bed after night shift. Just as I thought symptoms had all gone they've come back! Right now I'd be amazed if AF doesn't turn up but equally amazed if it does. Boobs are so sore, especially later in day, don't drink coffee but when a colleague waved a cup in front of me this am it caught in my throat. And so itchy, but I haven't got fleas, honest! Funniest though, was rubbing my eyes this am then caught myself falling over, I'd fallen asleep! But this could still be body and mind playing tricks but it is nice to hope. Hope everyone else is well. xxx

Doctorskidaddle · 09/06/2009 09:47

hi everyone, very of all these symptoms! My one symptom (massively tired) seems to ahve been a virus which the rest of the family now have and I feel completely normal and fine. I am SURE I am not preg now but you never know...

maisieboo - don;t want to tempt fate but that does sounds very promising - fingers crossed!

newmember - that would be an amzing bday present for your dp - here's hoping (ashamed to say I don;t know what all your acronyms mean though - UCL is a uni in London in my head!)

momdeguerre - sounds good, hope it is not just the same virus I had. Mine only lasted 24 hours though so hopefully this is it!

So exciting - come on bfps!

Momdeguerre · 09/06/2009 10:32

Hi to Hoops, NewM, DrS [waves] lovely to have some new members to join in the fun!!

So, I had to have a smear today. Gross as they are I knew I had to try and squeeze one in before I got pg again or I would be over 4 years between them and I would worry. Nurse said it would be fine. . . .fingers crossed it should not cause any probs.

Other than that I am still sick as a sick and tired. I have wondered if I might just be ill but I like to hope for the best and it certainly feels like my morning sickness did last time.

Hoops - good symptoms hopefully a great sign!

Maisie - sounds all good!!!!!!!!

NewMember - how have you been feeling?

DrS - might be a virus but nothing to say it could be early pg too???? Keep us updated!!

bluesmartie · 09/06/2009 12:49

Hi girls, wishing to join you all on the quest to be a mummy. I am also going to be testing on the 16th. I have a dull ache on the right hand side of my tummy and hoping this is not just early period pains. Went to the Dr this morning and had blood taken to make sure all is OK as we have been trying for the past 11 months with no luck. Fingers crossed to you all and I hope come the 16th we all have smiles.

Will keep you updated with pains and feelings.

Momdeguerre - i hope you had a quiet shift at work and managed to stay awake,

shyla01 · 09/06/2009 15:46

MaisieBoo · 09/06/2009 20:16
