I'm out... AF has paid me a visit on CD 23, wwhich I think is a bit much - perhaps another early loss or else she just really has it in for me this month. My cycle is usually on the short side, but regular as clockwork.

V disappointed, but have added myself to bottom of the list - have to pull myself together for Cycle 3. Onwards!

Hello everyone - what a stunning day!

Ok ... I am looking for a bit of advice! We are now going into our 7th month of TTC - almost our 4th month using the CBFM!

Over the last few months I have BD every night covering the before/druring/after OV - last month I think we BD 8 nights in a row!

Hmmmmmm - still nothing!

So, should I change it this month and do night on, night off? Running out of ideas! I must def be OV as my montior is picking up the surge!

Help!

BellasYummyMummy · 23/06/2009 17:22

oh i hope there are enough BFPs for the rest of us!!! teeny im on 7dpo so pretty much same timeframe as you and trying not to symptom spot!!! have been mage thirsty and peeing loads (though i have been drinking loads... ) and have been really gassy . i am due to test on sunday if i have a 12 lp, or tues for a 14lp. DH wants me to hold out til the following sunday as its my birthday! i think ill go bonkers by then!!!

Oh Beanmum sorry to hear that. Hope its third cycle lucky for you x

NancyPreg · 23/06/2009 18:10

Noooooo, that sucks beanmum and no wonder you are disappointed. Do you ovulate particularly early in your cycle, for example, before CD13? I have a friend who conceived her DC2 on CD11 of her cycle (UCL26) so perhaps you are ovulating sooner than you think??

newmember it's great that you are detecting your LH surge but I've read that this is no guarantee of ovulation. However, you know your own body so if you are sure that you are ovulating, then that is good. On the other hand, do you know which CD you ovulate? Is your luteal phase at least 10 days long?

Beanmum · 23/06/2009 18:31

Thanks everyone Nancypreg - never charted my ovulation before so don't know when I ovulate. Guess with a 25 day cycle it could be earlier than I think, but think we were pretty thorough this month! I never knew how very lucky I was to conceive ds without having to try!

Good luck to the rest of you - looking forward to lots more BFPs!

NewMember · 23/06/2009 19:16

Hi Nancy

I OV around day 11 I think - my Luteal phase is about 13 days i think!

NancyPreg · 23/06/2009 19:42

beanmum and NewMember - how about bd every day from CD6 through to CD 26

That would pretty much cover all options!!

Good luck for your BFPs!

nanoo · 23/06/2009 20:19

So that would be 20 days of solid BDing!!! - anyone know if if BD positions really matter for conception??

NancyPreg · 23/06/2009 20:30

nanoo I've read those theories that state that position is pertinent if you want one gender or the other but apart from that, I think all you really need is:

  1. a fertile willing woman
  2. a fertile willing man
  3. plenty of bd around the window of ovulation
NewMember · 23/06/2009 20:48

Hi Nancy!

Pretty much tried that! haha

nanoo · 23/06/2009 21:03

Thanks NancyPreg - I do have a willing man...but not always an able willing man . DH gets serious stage fright around the time of ov (we've been trying too long, and both want it so desperately!)....poor DH :-(

BellasYummyMummy · 23/06/2009 21:31

nanoo we have the same problem here!!

teenycalls · 23/06/2009 21:48

BellasYummyMummy i'm going to hold out until at least next Wednesday which will be 14DPO for me [determined but doubful emoticon!] really hoping for BFP this month.

There are now 37 of us on the bus so by my reconing that should be 9 BFPs between us, only 3 so far so still plenty to go round! Good luck

Any news from the passengers at the front of the bus? You've all gone very quiet x

nanoo · 23/06/2009 21:51

Kinda a relief to know we're not the only ones!! I try so hard to be light-hearted and not put him under any pressure - but he gets so cross with himself. Must seem very comical to an outsider, but I don't know what to do...

ilove2shop · 23/06/2009 21:51

Well AF got me on Monday... now on cycle 7 sooooo f*cked off... thats putting it nicely!! Had a few tears this time, never thought it would take longer than 6mths

To make it worse my friend just got preg while on the pill and cried and cried and cried...saying why did this happen to me.. i dont want a baby, felt like shakeing her and telling her that she is sooo lucky!!!

Shall i start a new bus for April ?
xX

ilove2shop · 23/06/2009 21:58

Nanoo, maybe try and cook a nice meal, a massage perhaps and just take it slowly, go to bed early etc the fact he gets frustrated wont help, if stage fright comes along dont make a big deal out of it and try a hour or so later xxxx

teenycalls · 23/06/2009 22:01

Sorry the witch got you ilove2shop, it can be very disheartening to have friends that fall pg accidentally, don't think any of mine have actually 'tried'

Why not add yourself to the back of this bus for now, would be good to have your company on this journey still

NancyPreg · 23/06/2009 22:02

nanoo, I guess you've tried everything to keep things lighthearted (not exactly easy when you know the time is ripe, so to speak)...does your Dh guess when you are fertile or do you tell him? If you want to hide your fertile window from him, then you could try BD across the month?! Not always easy if you work odd hours or travel around for your work but it could take some of the pressure off?
Sorry, not laughing cos it can't be easy...all you can do is keep going as best you can until you get your BFP!

ilovetoshop don't lose heart, you will get tthere in the end. Hope you feel better tomorrrow. I guess the April bus must be due for departure soon - first on, first off?

ilove2shop · 23/06/2009 22:06

Thanks girls, i may start a new one, but ill pop in here too! Fingers x for your bfp!
Like the first on, first off, so will try for that one!!
The fact everyone is so nice, almost has me crying..... think im cracking up!!

teenycalls · 23/06/2009 22:07

nanoo please don't feel like you are alone, after 11 years together DP and I are finding all this BD a bit tiresome, he sometimes doesn't even want to try when I am OV cos it makes him feel 'used'

Have tried explaining that it won't happen unless we do it at the right time and the window is quite small but I think that just made it worse. He wants to feel like it happens by magic so has asked if next cycle I can just jump on him without warning

nanoo · 23/06/2009 22:07

thanks girls - all good suggestions. Would be great if he didn't know when I was fertile - but because we're doing treatment at the hospital we know every tiny stage of my cycle (e.g today I have a follicle on my right side that's 14mm and my lining is 5.8mm so I should ovulate in about 3 days...blah blah). So poor DH knows. In fact he's told by the hospital when he has to perform. No wonder he gets so worried!!

teenycalls · 23/06/2009 22:10

ilove2shop you are not cracking up. We all feel the same that is why we belong to this group. Feel free to say anything in the knowledge that no matter what it is we will consider you to be totally normal All nutters together and all that!

NancyPreg · 23/06/2009 22:12

nanoo didn't realise you were having such invasive tests but the silver lining of having such insight into how your cycle/body works should hopefully be your BFP . Good luck for the next few days...could you get your DH tipsy?
